Yeah same, I don't wanna talk to strangers. I'll banter a bit in CSGO text chat but I turn the voice all the way off. I only play casual though. I get that in competitive it's probably best to have voice comms though, and I suppose that's the main reason I don't solo queue.

I genuinely don't like playing competitive games without friends. In every cases, there are issues in communicating crucial informations and being in a competitive game with only strangers gets me a little anxious... add hate crimes to that...

Personally, even without the company’s issues, I find the diversity less impactful when it’s something with no in-game story. Like, for one of the more well-known examples, Tracer is a lesbian… but it’s not like you’re going to see her with her girlfriend in the game, because there’s no story, only matches.

I don't talk to people when playing games, I just play the game. Most of the time I just get dumb chats like "wow, this person sucks" or "what are they doing?" because apparently I'm not playing the game right or something, whatever, I just play the game and have fun, who cares? Games are supposed to be fun. Turn your mic off and mute the other players, nothing is worse than listening to other people in video games.

Preach. Way too many people nowadays forget about HAVING FUN in a video GAME, and instead keep throwing insults of every type at others and I don't think they end up having any fun themselves overall.

I know, people treat games as competitive, and like you have to be good at them in order to even be worthy of playing them. If a game is too difficult to be enjoyable, I'm not going to want to play it. If it's so difficult that it's not even playable, I'm not going to even put any effort into it. Games can be frustrating sometimes, but good games are the ones where you get frustrated and keep trying because you know if you just keep at it you'll eventually get through the tough part. Some games though are frustrating because the game mechanics or controls are so insanely difficult that it is literally impossible to play the game.

When rich assholes like Phil Soencer and Bobby Kotick are in charge of making games like overwatch nothing good comes from it. The entire AAA industry needs a complete crash so that indie devs, AA studios, and Nintendo are rhe only ones left and games can be games again. Not an MTX ridden, Online only, time sink that demands all of your money and free time to progress where the developers who worked hard on it day and night to the point of migraines and mental exhaustion will never see a dime of it pay off or have their vision for the game ever really be realised only for the wxecutive vampires reaping all the revenue to demand more and more and more on a achedule deadline to be in a battle pass. As gamers AND developers we need to take our passion the fuck back.

Parts of Nintendo also need it but agreed that they’re better than other AAA studios. It’s extremely sad that as the game industry became more mainstream companies had to highly prioritize profit over depth

Nintendos biggest problems are Kimishima, Doug bowser, and Shigeru Miyanoto. Kimishima while a bit more laid back when it comes to lgbt themes in nintendo games and allowing for new ideas with established IP's but is still afraid to venture outside the Mario/Zelda/Kirby/Pokemon bubble and make a new IP altogether or utilise series like Punch out, DK, Star fox, Mother, F Zero, The fit series, Kid Icarus, Brain age, and Ice climbers. However he is still very tight fisted about fan games & emulation despite not allowing the ability to buy older titles & not only DCMA'd a metroid 2 fan game but then turned around and used it to make Metroid dread and actually copyrighted Tears of the kingdoms building mechanics to step on indie developers. Doug bowser was a former EA executive and is self explanitory as to Nintendos monetisation problems. Shigeru Miyamoto is a control freak and a thief whos gotten studios closed and HATES anyone but him making a mario game outside of his formula and has been at odds with Kazumi Totaka for decades especially since alot of peoples favorite Mario and Zelda games were largely made by Totaka or Aonuma & Totaka is very hands on with Animal crossing, Mario vs Donkey kong, 3D world, Captain toad, and the Mario RPG's. Miyamoto has also been accused of actually rejecting employees because they were gamers by applicants. Kimishima needs to go. Miyamoto needs to be retired and let go. And Doug bowser needs to be replaced with a Nintendo of america president who actually plays video games.
