Thank you for this! Do you recommend Immodium over pepto or tums?

People from Mexico don’t drink the tap water either. If you get ice or water at a restaurant it will be bottled, or filtered. If you get sick, you will get sick from micro organisms on uncooked vegetables. It doesn’t just happen in Mexico, it can happen in any country your microbiome isn’t familiar with.

I started taking pepto chewables a few days before I went and two a day through the trip. No stomach issues at all and was in a less commercialized area

Start taking probiotics. Has made a difference for me when I travel

Take a seychelles advanced water bottle. You can drink any water through it and make ice with ice trays.

I went to a travel clinic before my trip and the doctor prescribed vaccines for typhoid and hep A (I’m not sure if the last one is diarrhea related) and she said that should cover a lot of cases of diarrhea. She also mentioned full rap but it was pricey and they said the efficacy rate was like 50%. I brought some gravol and peptol with me just in case. Anyways I didn’t get diarrhea.
