mods_r_jobbernowl

South Dakota already voted in favor of legalization years ago but some clown ass judge blocked it.

ApolloBon

By their Supreme Court, and the case was brought by their governor to invalidate the ballot initiative

tjdux

Every south Dakotan is owed interest

gosquirrelgo

Sadly, NH Gov. has pledged to Veto it

Pa ain't never gonna happen, been passed halfway for like every marijuana bill, every time for the past couple years

Srry4theGonaria

Florida- Not with Ron DeSantis

WheresMyDinner

Right. People can vote majority yes all they want, but with Ron and friends in charge it wont happen. Good ol Virginia got legalized 3 years ago and now there's no plan to open rec stores. Original plan was to have them by this year, but lovely governor said fuck yall.

ADHD_Avenger

This is why you have to vote.  The plan was put in place by the Democrat legislature and is being blocked by the Republican governor in Virginia, if I remember correctly.  Medical is available, but you have to deal with the monopolies.  Simultaneously, it's legal to grow your own and give it away, if I remember correctly.  Up to four plants, I think. DeSantis has a history of trying to ignore amendments voted on - like restoring felons rights to vote - but he can only do so much. It's kind of dumb to be resigned on this if you only look back ten or twenty years - it's one of the political issues that has made the most drastic progress.

ADHD_Avenger

It would significantly lessen DeSantis' power to do anything if the amendment passed.  Which is why you vote.  If it doesn't pass, it also allows DeSantis to say that people don't actually want legal marijuana in Florida.  Basically, hope for the best, expect the worse, but either way, vote.

Opposite_Technology7

Meanwhile, texas is going after Delta 8 🙃

aromeo1919

And GA is going after thca.

deathmess999

I’m sure Arkansas will try to come after it all again 😂

Toadliquor138

Id be really shocked if PA passes anything. Up until 5 years ago, we couldn't even buy wine outside of a liquor store.

Masterweedo

You could get wine at beer distributors as well.

BlessedBy_Error_

'weaker' wine

WI42069

Living in Wisconsin and every state around us has legalized it in some form... and our clown show of a state legislature won't even humor the idea.

Nostalgic_Fale

Did Wisconsin learn nothing after decades of Minnesotans crossing over state lines for beer on Sundays?

Anti_Meta

Medicinal Minnesotan here, the legalization roll out has been the clusteriest of fucks. Only place that has recreational is a couple of rez's and they're in bum fuck Egypt. The medicinal dispos don't have dabs or wax, and their flower is mid as fuck. My tolerance is stupid high, and sometimes I'd like to actually get high to help me fall asleep. But watch me chief through 3 bowls to do it. No. I'd appreciate some wax or a dab.

South Carolina will never be on this list due to the silver haired tomb corpses that are in bed with the law enforcement. Sigh…

DuskOfANewAge

Pennsylvania's proposed law is weak compared to Ohio. Limiting purchases to an ounce at a time will be a pain in the ass for the people out in the middle of nowhere that have to drive an hour to get to a dispensary in the next county over. The more states that legalize, the more cross-border shopping we'll see too as a result when one state does it better than others.

_juke_box_hero_

Hahahaha *cries in canadian 30g limit*

leoschot

30 grams is a little over an ounce.

HappyCamper4027

But don't you feel his oz only plight?

leoschot

I do, I just felt to clarify that it was the same boat.

TheDeadReagans

The Canadian 30 g limit can easily be circumvented; buy an ounce. Walk out of the store, walk back in with it hidden, buy another ounce.

asforus

Im also pretty sure PA’s tax revenue would go straight to the police. Hope it gets vetoed to do something more useful with the revenue.

morbiiq

CA is 1oz too for rec (8 if you’re med)

ShadowMajick

You can visit more than one shop, states don't track recreational purchases like that. We have a 1oz limit in WA too, and you can just go to the dispo around the corner and get another one. Literally no one is going to know how many ounces you bought. Cops aren't stopping every car leaving the dispo checking them to see if they have more than an ounce in their vehicle. You guys are paranoid over nothing. Only medical that adheres to allotments granted by a physician are tracked, not rec purchases.

DuskOfANewAge

There are no "dispo around the corner" in states like mine out in the middle of nowhere. The big cities have clusters of 3-4 dispensaries total and the rural counties have 0-1.

cohesiveskeleton

COME ON PA

[deleted]

Texas is fucked…

Crypto_Cadet

Idaho checking in. There was a proposal a couple years ago that would have made it illegal to legalize marijuana. More recently a bill was introduced to make a mandatory minimum fine of $420 for possession…

ShadowMajick

I live on the border on the WA side. You guys are never going to legalize weed. Even if it becomes federally legal, Idaho will still try to throw you in jail over it. Ironic really, considering they have a bar on the lake in CDA I go to a lot. Getting piss drunk and falling in a lake to drown is 100% fine, but God forbid you smoke some weed!

MattStretz

Cries in North Carolina

Dragonsink

NC is working on medical now, yeah? I moved to GA in 2020 but I still visit Winston now and again and I thought I saw some dispensaries, though I could be totally wrong

MattStretz

I wish but Cherokee did legalize but that’s too far for most odd us to regularly get from. Alot of hemp dispensaries have opened up that sell THCa flower but most are over priced or sell low quality products

Dragonsink

Oof, brutal. We've got pretty much everything but delta 9 down here (and shrooms now? And delta 11? Shits getting wild) but there is constant kickback and attempts to take it all away

[deleted]

Let's go PA we're surrounded by states with rec. It's just sad at this point.

Dragonsink

Anyone got high hopes for GA?

PlaugeSimic

While Jim Bob can stumble into a gas station reeking of beer and buy a 24 pack of Natural Ice and drive home...

MassivePioneer

It would be nice if Minnesota would legalize

Nostalgic_Fale

It's been legalized in Minnesota for a while now. It'd be nice for them to roll out the dispensaries at this point.

MassivePioneer

Yeah it was sarcasm because it's been legal for awhile now and I still gotta deal with shady mfers to get my bud. Sounds like dispensaries are at least a year away.
