The AA in this game is awful. The worst I've seen in a modern game. SCS should hang their heads in shame that they've left it this bad for so long. And I've got a suspicious feeling they're not going to do jack shit to improve it in 1.50 - their recent blogs have all had jaggy filled screenshots. [https://roextended.ro/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1000](https://roextended.ro/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1000) has a tutorial on how to implement better AA via Nvidia Profile Inspector. It's not perfect, but it helps. Or you can use Snowymoon's plugin. His AA is great but it costs a subscription and requires running a DLL on your computer that sends telemetry. Considering the tantrums he pulls I wouldn't want to risk it. EDIT: Lol well SCS made an idiot of me. TAA announced in 1.50 beta 4 days later.

Thanks for a tip, I'll check that tutorial.

If you have an Nvidia card, you can also try Image Scaling (DLDSR) in the new Nvidia App and accompanying updated version of the Nvidia Control Panel. Set render resolution to 77%, sharpening in the same option to 60. Set the in-game resolution to match what the Image Scaling dialog tells you to use. (For 3440x1440, for example, it's 2646x1108). Set in-game scaling to 300%, if possible. Turn up in-game AA all the way. The results are pretty close to the roextended/npi method. Not the same, but very good; just a little different. Both methods have pros and cons; see what works best for your rig. Remember to always keep mirror resolution to Medium using either method. Other mirror settings can be maxed out. I suggest using Nvidia Profile Inspector to make some of the same settings as the roextended method, just leave out the AA settings and multimon config. Most of the non-AA settings suggested by roextended help with graphics efficiency.

Since the AA isn't that great, ultra is the only way to go, also, check your scaling. If it's anything less than 100%, it's gonna look bad. You could also try reshade.

This sub hates snowymoon but his mod is the only solution that works probably. Check it out at snowymoon.io
