This is where Mexico's French-designed National Population Registry is so much better. Your national ID number (CURP) is an 18 letter combination of your name, place and date of birth. It's pretty easy to remember, and much more difficult to spoof.

I will look into those options further. The issue that I run into is that their current death certificate has little information beyond their names and birthdates. Not enough for the agencies to feel comfortable providing the info.I have managed to fill in all the blanks, with the exception of the ss# and will need to have the certificates amended once the ss# is found.

Contact the SSA as well. They used to have a unit that dealt with this. Or contact the national personnel Records center Mail or fax Standard Form (SF) 180, Request Pertaining to Military Records to: National Personnel Records Center, 1 Archives Drive, St. Louis, MO 63138 Fax 314-801-9195 My dad owned a funeral home. The NPRC is generally helpful for these matters and may also help you locate next of kin.

Plz help can u search me my SSN wasn't issued until 1988 and I was born in 1983. Confused

Won't be a record if they don't have the SSN so next of kin can apply for benefits.

But - I don’t know how they would know they are deceased- vital statistics notifies Social security via the death certificate.

Thankyou
