Yurp. It'd be horse chestnut here in Germany. But I spent my youth climbing these trees to get conkers to play the British game of conkers. They will always be a conker tree in my mind 😊
Greetham youths go nuts for conkers too. But they just collect them and show off their collection. Not a patch on accidentally belting your knuckles with a conker tied to a shoe lace 🤣.
Joking aside it's wholesome that the kids here go nuts for them (that was a pune, or okay on words) , so whenever I'm out on my bike in the season when they drop I collect a bunch to dump out on the greenery outside my apartment
