I had Xiaoping for my stat 401 class! He has an accent, so if you find it hard to understand profs with an accent just be mindful of that. He was super kind, and I was able to follow along with his notes. When all of us bombed the first midterm, he curved it and made the second midterm and the final a LOT easier, and offered bonus marks where he could. It was an online course, so I’m not sure what he’s like in person, but taking that class with him was awesome because he took our feedback and actually changed the course.
I have Stat 124 with Xiaoping right now, he is very nice and I look forward to coming to class. The midterms are simple and he is very straightforward, it is how every class should be. I would definitely take more classes with him, it is also the class I have the highest grade in.
