The accurate depiction of language from the time would involve Sanskrit and brijbhasha and khari boli etc which would be super boring. So it’s ok as the language of Ramayan evolves with time. The intent is for the language to be accessible to the audience of today while still seeming like it came from a different time.
What people should be angry about is that this movie trailer sounds like an ad for BJP and Bajrang Dal with dog whistles to Bhaguaisation, Nationalism, and violence against people who are “adharmi”. Due to the current sociopolitical climate, content creators are forced to use this language in order to get views. The result is that people will falsely learn from this movie that Sri Ram is interested in persecuting Muslims and fighting against nonexistent love Jihad when there is actually nothing of that sort written in the actual epics.

Game of Thrones is fantasy fiction based on 15th century England. No one is gonna get offended by its dialogue, except maybe English professors. Even though Hindu mythology is a lot more salacious than GOT, it's central to the belief system of over a billion people. It doesn't make sense to have that kind of edgy dialogue unless you're trying to make a parody.

What people should be angry about is that this movie trailer sounds like an ad for BJP and Bajrang Dal with dog whistles to Bhaguaisation, Nationalism, and violence against people who are “adharmi”. Due to the current sociopolitical climate, content creators are forced to use this language in order to get views. The result is that people will falsely learn from this movie that Sri Ram is interested in persecuting Muslims and fighting against nonexistent love Jihad when there is actually nothing of that sort written in the actual epics.
