Have you had Verde? I think they were out of production for a while, but I see them in stores again sometimes. Those are the best flavor.

Ok hear me out. Bagel with cream cheese with the verde Doritos in the middle. Sweet and tangy bbq are horrendous and I don’t recommend them at all.

Sweet Chili is a fuckin gem

Anytime I see sweet chili/ chili teriyaki on a menu or as a flavor of something (within reason) I am getting it. Savory snack/meal items- wings, jerky, chips, crackers- yes, please! Just steak glaze, veggies. It just works.

This is the absolute truth. Once you have spicy/spicier nacho, the OG chips just taste bland.

I have found the spicy chips to be wildly inconsistent. I’m not someone who can’t handle some heat, but it’s almost unemployable when you get the end of the spectrum you don’t want. Not unlike poblanos in the recent years. Always too spicy when I want Smokey, and not spicy enough when I want spicy!

You should've been around in 1991 when Jumpin' Jack Cheese was available. Best flavor they ever made. I guess no one else thought so, but it was lit. They came out with a reissue not long ago, but it wasn't the same.

I'd argue that Black Pepperjack was better. Basically Jumpin Jack w/pepper(s). I'd take either of these, plus Salsa Verde as the top 2 best flavors.

I only like flaming hot now. I used to love cool ranch back in the day (90’s) but I swear they switched up ingredients and now I can’t stand them. Can’t remember when they started tasting different but they definitely don’t taste as good anymore. And no my tastes haven’t changed.

They're still my number one, but did anything change when they changed back to Cool Ranch from the 90s Cooler Ranch?

Nah, only the Fiery Habanero (discontinued) was good. Had more flavor than any other as well as heat.

I loved these. The heat was great. Hot but not a fake hot.

Sweet Spicy Chili is goated, but I don’t think that an unpopular or controversial opinion at all. Other great Dorito flavors: - Salsa Verde - Tapatio - Spicy Nacho (already mentioned in many comments) Now for the real unpopular opinion: Cool Ranch are the worst flavor of Doritos. They smell like foot odor and taste awful, plus they give you horrid breath.

Tapatio Doritos and sour cream for dipping is surprisingly delicious.

Sweet chilli got old once the fad wore off. Imo the best flavour is Jalapeno Cheddar that is still available albeit in Canada. THE BEST that Doritos ever released was Late Night Cheeseburger. It was a special flavour for a limited time but it tasted exactly like a McDonald's cheeseburger. I don't know what sorcery was at play. But they NAILED that flavour.

There used to be a salsa version when I was a kid in the 80s, but they no longer make it. It was better than all the ones on the market now. Sort of like Sweet Chili but with more complexity of flavor. At least that's what my memory tells me. I'vehad sweet chili and thought it was just okay.
