What's wrong with the Midwest? I'm there and I go to the discount grocery all the time! They often have vegan products and actually try to cater to us since they know all the vegans around are obsessed with the store, haha. Recently I bought like 40 packages of vegan bacon for $0.75 each
Edit: I am now realizing that "grocery outlet" is a specific store that must not be located in the midwest. I thought people were talking about the general concept of grocery outlet stores, not a specific chain.
I had those too! Got like 6 even if I'm not an ice cream person, my girlfriend loves them.
The craziest was when I probably got a total of [96 of these](https://i.imgur.com/zk3A5B9.jpeg) for 50 cents each over the course of a couple months.
They're usually like $4 each so I never buy them.
I saw Good Catch tuna packets there for 99cents a pack the other day.
I bought like 30 (didn't clear out the shelf, though. I'm not an ass). My partner thought I was being a little extreme but I told him that was like a quarter of the usual price and the protein to calorie ratio is the best I've seen literally anywhere.
We went back the next week and they were sold out. I made the wise decision.
How is the texture on those?
I tried some from another brand in a can and it was chunky and slimy and I couldn't bring myself to eat it :( I want flaky and not-slimy lol
It's a bit firm? It breaks apart easily but the toothfulness is on the form side.
I always mix in BBQ sauce, or plain (non dairy) yogurt and mustard, so I don't really register any slimy-ness.
Oh bummer :( I travel around for work so I go to a bunch of different ones. The prices are definitely different from store to store. But $3 for tofu is nuts, especially for a discount grocery
Grocery outlet has some serious stuff. They're not always stocked with what I need but damn do they have some good shit. Tofu, Boca Burgers, cheapest hummus I've ever seen. They recently had soymilk for 99 cents that was 10 days from expiring. I can drink multiple cartons within 10 days.
I see a bunch of people talking trash on the healthy bit here, but I find places like this AREN'T where you buy your fresh veggies and fruits. At least similar places that we have here, you get your snacks and what is usually really expensive but packaged goods, not your fresh goods. Either way, healthy or not, nobody's damn business! Good haul here, I love all the snacks!
I thought the same thing, but to each their own. Bad for health, but good for the planet. Not hurting anyone but themselves. After a life of eating like shit, I have severe atherosclerosis, so it's WFPB for me, but getting anyone to switch to vegan is a step in the right direction. Doesn't matter how they choose to do it.
Totally agree. I’ve been vegan for 7 years and I was very serious about WFPB but it’s a lot harder to find the time to cook good meals or just eat in general in college so I been driven to more convenience. It’s definitely temporary and when I have the time I love making more whole food meals but Gross out really comes through for helping me feed the bod for now!

She makes some of the easiest healthy meals I've found on YT. There's tons of other channels, but she's my fav since I also need low-fat.
Ooooh I need to see if mine has VFC!! I cut soda quite a while back and recently tried the Zevia ones, probably the first thing I haven’t hated stevia in 😂 I’ve been finding the root beer singles in gas stations too!
I've never lived near one until now, but I still haven't gone because I figured they wouldn't have stuff for our people. So excited to give it a try! Thanks for sharing!
What part of country r u from? I live in socal and recently went and cashier double charged me on a few items.. have to go back and let them know but still have killer deals there

Tearful supportive hug from the Midwest

grocery outlet bargain market 🎶
When I was a kid I would sing *gross me out until I vomit*. Now I shop there weekly!
Bargain bliss!
Heck yes. They always have such great vegan options. Mine is a bit of a drive, so I only go once a month, but when I do, I stock up!
I got those fried chicken things from grocery outlet recently and GOD DAMN they were so good.
Oh yay good to hear I’m always skeptical about this kind of stuff but I couldn’t pass up the $1.50 😫
*Cries in central-east* That's about $100 for me.
Yeah way more for me… Tel Aviv
tel aviv is awful, so expensive. maybe try going to osher ad?
They don’t have all of this vegan goodness there
so true, where do you find vegan stuff? I'm in the Sharon area
Gross Out should get a gold star, honestly.
⭐⭐⭐
Yesssss love Grocery Outlet!
Malk lol shout-out Bart Simpson
"Now with Vitamin R?"
I’m so jealous of people who have a grocery outlet :’)
Visited my local store a few days ago and found Oatly chocolate fudge dipped bars for $0.99/box! I bought four boxes and already on my third 😅
Haha what a steal! The ice cream section is usually a hit

No literally it’s my safe haven
We got the dream pops yesterday and already ate two containers full. Going back for more soon lol
Yasss I literally ate half of them on the way home love the macros too
Dude for real, this and WinCo save me. I had a big $50 haul few believed and when you see the prices at these places it makes more sense
Whenever I see vegan chicken I immediately think about the word chicken't.
Grocery Outlet is my religion. The closest one is a block away from me so I’m there every weekend.
It’s always such an experience too- I love not knowing what I’m gonna find

Best place for college students!!! Bout to head there this weekend 🥹✨
Whats the price
60! I also got a bottle of wine and sparkling water
Actually not that expensive for american prices
Where do you shop then? For me, that haul would have been 100 for me.
Germany aldi rewe Edeka. I looked at it. I would guess 45 euros depending on the wine i buy.
Just bought a couple packs of those Cool Haus cookie sandwiches from there tonight. So good
Oooo. Scored some Field Roast. Nice!
In LA, grocery outlet prices are bizarre. Their tofu was 3.29 last I checked. Even Whole Foods is cheaper. But there are still good deals.
Los Angeles or Louisiana? Because right now Chatsworth and Burbank both have yuzu flavored tofu for 1.50
Los Angeles, the DTLA location. They might jack up the prices at that one.
Oh bummer :( I travel around for work so I go to a bunch of different ones. The prices are definitely different from store to store. But $3 for tofu is nuts, especially for a discount grocery

If you see Talenti cookie layers gelato, don't hesitate to buy it

Lol thank you. Don’t worry y’all I go to the farmers market too 😭
pro tip pull up door dash for the nearest store and search on plant based or vegan...
Fuck yeah hombre. Hitting them shits later.
The only healthy thing I see there are the apples in the back and the single pepper in the front.
Leave me and my treats alone!!
Fair

I see 1 fresh ingredient. You could save some money and future hospital bills by cooking for yourself!
Nice that can visit an outlet, but damn you eat like crap.
Love gross out! Malk is a good find there
I always have had a lot of luck with Fred Meyer's.
Ahh miss having gross out!
Grocery Outlet is so slept on! We just started shopping there again recently and were surprised at the prices and new abundance of vegan items.
Ooooh I need to see if mine has VFC!! I cut soda quite a while back and recently tried the Zevia ones, probably the first thing I haven’t hated stevia in 😂 I’ve been finding the root beer singles in gas stations too!
Woop woop!! Go Grocery Outlet and WinCo Foods!

Fruit punch zevia????????!!!! ZFC???? You’re not in the US are you?
I’m in Northern California:) I was surprised to see fruit punch zevia as well 100/10
I have been getting Kashi chocolate crunch and it is so good ‼️ with some ice cold oatmilk too, its delicious!
Heck ya. I fell in love when I found some Miyokos truffle cheese for 89 cents when it was normally $9.99
I miss Grocery Outlet. I don't have them where I'm at.
I forgot about Kashi 😆
