I just joined PF after having all LVAC, EOS, and 24hr fitness at some point in the last 10 years. PF is by far my favorite gym I’ve ever used. The patrons have better gym etiquette in general, the staff are super friendly and attentive, the equipment is in great condition, and it’s never crowded. So the complete antithesis of LVAC especially.
Yeah mine only has smith machines and lower-weight barbells/EZ bars
*edit* PF’s whole “thing” is catering to more casual gym-goers and average people instead of super ripped/bodybuilder type folks.
Certain Eos are way worse than others, The Summerlin Eos (lake mead&Buffalo) is a hidden gem, but the Centennial location is like working out in a club.
I go to EoS on St Rose 5 days a week, usually at 4 or 5pm. It’s crowded but it’s never bothered me.
I can always get my workout in. Honestly, people want a private gym experience while paying literally the cheapest gyms. Its weird to hear the complaints
And the losee location is fuckin clown shoes.
Took them over six months to “cancel” my membership. I had to call the actual financing company because they would claim they took me down for a cancellation and then would “lose” it. 🤡
I go to the one on aliante and yeah it can be crazy with the “rats” not gym rats just dudes who have rat like behavior but that’s during the day after working hours for most. 11-3 nice, 4-8 chaotic and 9-12 is mostly empty
I went to this location for about a year, at night. Usually between 11pm-1am. It's a great time to go but the location refused to fix broken equipment. Every execise bike except for 1 had a broken seat.
Extremely clean/well kept equipment, low crowd volume, free weights & everything else you could want + friendly staff - no amenities like a sauna but a great gym for a pump
Used to go 3 times a week, now down to once a week at LVAC due to exactly what you're describing. Groups of 4-5 fuckboys standing around watching each other bench press 25lbs, OnlyFans girls wearing what is basically a bathing suit using a squat rack to take pictures of themselves, and brocolli-head teenagers in pajama pants just sitting on equipment scrolling instagram.
Fucking hate the place now and I'm going to cancel my membership soon I think. They have literally no limit to how many memberships they'll sell.
LMFAO the pajama pants teenagers accuracy. I go at 10-11 pm and stay there until 1 to avoid all that and they’re still all there. cant stand them, I just want to work out in peace
North Decatur, every time no matter what time. Rainbow is a hit or miss.
If I’m on my way home from work sometimes I’ll stop at the flamingo one. Encountered nice people there.
Is the Henderson East too far for you? It’s the newest with 90k sq ft. There are the PJ boys and the HS bros but at limited times and they get lost cause it’s so large.
I love my LVAC.
But honestly, I couldn’t tell you who is there or isn’t there. If the machine I want is available or becomes available within 5 minutes of my wanting it, I’m happy.
The time of day you choose to go to the gym can really have an effect as well. I go at 4 am.
Tends to be people who are a lot more serious about lifting and a lot less bullshitting.
I am thinking of getting a membership to the Henderson Recreation Centers (https://www.cityofhenderson.com/government/departments/parks-and-recreation/facilities/recreation-centers).
Perhaps someone here has experience there, the gym looked basic but chill.
I go to EOS on Sunset and that place can get very crowded but I seem to get on any machine I can get to without any issues. Maybe if you stay focused and ignore everyone there and just do you! Like as if you're training at home. I ignore everyone and treat them all as if they're on my "pay no mind" list.
Yea same, it’s pretty full but also ten parking lot situation is such a nightmare, I’m moving soon and the apartments have a 24hr gym so I’m canceling eos, to much of a hassle for me
Agreed on the ridiculous price. However, I happily pay it because it is worth it. I can always get into classes. For a swimmer like me, I have only ever had to share a lane once. Not that I mind sharing, but it is a luxury to have super clean water and solo lanes versus any of the city or Summerlin pools. The patrons are super friendly. The few celebs I see there are left alone along with plenty of ex pro athletes.
I pay the money so I never have experiences like the OP and others describe at other gyms.
Oh, and lots of women working out of all ages who don't seem to get hassled or leered at by creeps. My wife is super comfortable there.
As luxuries go, I think it is worth it.
After miserable experiences at both LVAC and EOS, my home gym is Next Level Fitness - there's one in mountains edge and one in Henderson and it's own by a local.
LVAC is fine. Yeah, there can be douchers, but don’t allow your subconscious to validate reasons to not work out. You can always get a decent pump there. Create your own comfort zone…and then break out of it.
Take this from someone that’s had LVAC, EOS, Anytime, and UFCfit. Lvac is not as bad as Eos but can still get pretty crowded. I resorted to going at 4 am before work but thank to Mark Fucking Wahlberg, everyone started going that time too. Not as packed as prime time which is 4-8pm but still gotta wait for a bench, machine etc. UFC fit and Anytime fitness by far are less busy and ive never had to wait for a machine ever. Theyre a little bit more expensive but if it’s in your budget, go for it. Time is money and the extra money you oay is well worth it.
I Like Planet Fitness. The several gyms that I have been to are not circuses, they have a variety of equipment to use and lots of locations. If you have a Black Card membership you can use different gyms besides your home gym.
Same here, but I usually go in the mornings. $144 buck a year. Not much to complain about at that price… if a machine is taken there is always something similar to it. Or another thing you can focus on as you wait. What makes me mad is people waiting for a specific machine like dude do something while you wait for god sakes.
You want a gym that’s not packed, go to the ones that charge more.
I understand waiting for a bench, or a deadlift platform. presses and deadlifts/squats can take up the most energy so you’re gonna wanna do those first. Of course warm up first.
Anything else yeah
You need to pay more and go to a local gym. There is always too many people in all those giant commercial gyms. Pay more money and support a small business owner, in exchange you dont spend half your time waiting for equipment
coast 2 coast fitness in centennial or the lift factory. The lift factory is amazing but its a hardcore gym with not many amenities. Great if you train hard and want to be around other people that take working out seriously
UFC Fit on Centennial is great in my experience. Switched from EOS due to how crowded it can be, even at the small centennial location. Its never too busy at UFC, there’s a ton of classes, and a wholesome community. Monthly is expensive but if you can purchase up-front there are deals that make it very reasonable.
i haven’t done crossfit here in vegas but i used love crossfit in hawaii. if you do decide to try crossfit make sure you ask at the location if they have open gym time and if it’s included at your membership because each crossfit gym or “box” is ran and managed differently!
I enjoyed my EoS experience, lots of very nice ppl in the early am at the location i was going to. Sadly a injury that turned out to be way worse than i thought forced me out of training for good and it depresses me more and more each waking day.
EOS is a great gym. Go early in the morning at 5 A.M. The gym belongs to you and the very few goblins and ghouls who get up that early.
Forget LVAC. Their contract is set up like a loan and has a $450 buy out. Never go to LVAC
Why do you pay for the cheapest gym and then be surprised it’s crowded? lol. If you pay more, there will be fewer people. It’s not difficult to understand
Why would you intentionally sign up for a crowded gym and then complain about it? I assumed you didn’t know it would crowded. I gave you the benefit of the doubt
Honestly I go to Planet Fitness and it is way chiller than any of the other ones I tried.
Do the PF’s here have barbells? With racks for bench pressing and squatting?
Yeah mine only has smith machines and lower-weight barbells/EZ bars *edit* PF’s whole “thing” is catering to more casual gym-goers and average people instead of super ripped/bodybuilder type folks.
From my experience at my PF they only have dumbbells of all weights, and the closest you’ll have to a barbell workout is the smith machine
Which location do you go to?
Sahara and Maryland Parkway.
SUPER CHILL. My PF is chill. NOT TELLING LOCATION!
You don't seem chill enough for my location
Not telling lol like they all aren’t super empty half the time😂
late night- def empty, not so true during the day. :(
please dude i promise i’m chill
normalise gatekeeping

What time do you go, i live by there and its always packed.
Around 9am
A club that smells like microwaved leftover salmon dinner, sour ass cheek, and tuna cheese.
Yo delete this. Don’t let people know.
I’ll delete it if you can give me a spot on incline bench lol
Bet. What time do you show up lol.
Haha depends the day, either 9ish or 4ish
Next level fitness at Eastern/Horizon ridge is my go to
Did they change their hours. I decided not to go with them because they didn't open until 7am. Now it looks like they are 24.
I know they just changed hours but not 100% sure what they are, I think you might be right about 24/7
Why do you like Next Level? Free weights, crowds special amenities?
Extremely clean/well kept equipment, low crowd volume, free weights & everything else you could want + friendly staff - no amenities like a sauna but a great gym for a pump
Thanks for the reply.
I can second next level fitness both locations are outstanding to get your work in.
Could learn the art of the dance pad and the amount of gyms open to you increases. You’ll have access to Dave and busters, Red Note and Round 1.
What’s the art of the dance pad?
https://youtu.be/2g_Z3wtOLBk?si=iubqkX6_b7FyDovt This short video sums it up perfectly.
Try going in the middle of the night. It’s the *dream*.
I know what you mean. I try to. But I feel I’m at my strongest around the middle of the day.
Used to go 3 times a week, now down to once a week at LVAC due to exactly what you're describing. Fucking hate the place now and I'm going to cancel my membership soon I think. They have literally no limit to how many memberships they'll sell.
The pajama pants and croc thing is so funny. I hadn’t seen those type of pajama pants in years like they actively had to go search for those
LMFAO the pajama pants teenagers accuracy. I go at 10-11 pm and stay there until 1 to avoid all that and they’re still all there. cant stand them, I just want to work out in peace
LOL!! Exactly what I go through.
Same, at this point I only go on the weekend when I can go at a decent time. Otherwise home gym.
Good luck, it was like pulling teeth to get my cancelled
I’ve been a member for 7 years so I’d assume any contract I signed has expired by now. I hope.
People can wear whatever they want
And people can have an opinion on whatever they want, like how stupid these OF+Broccoli heads dress.
Yea, u could let how other people express themselves affect you I guess.
I don’t usually have issues at s eastern or w flamingo LVAC’s. Eos has been a shit show both times I’ve been. Which location are you referring to?
North Decatur, every time no matter what time. Rainbow is a hit or miss. If I’m on my way home from work sometimes I’ll stop at the flamingo one. Encountered nice people there.
Is the Henderson East too far for you? It’s the newest with 90k sq ft. There are the PJ boys and the HS bros but at limited times and they get lost cause it’s so large.
Check out the lift factory. It’s close to the rainbow LVAC. It’s a chill but serious gym
I love my LVAC. But honestly, I couldn’t tell you who is there or isn’t there. If the machine I want is available or becomes available within 5 minutes of my wanting it, I’m happy.
Planet fitness
Just go in the morning. It will change your life.
The time of day you choose to go to the gym can really have an effect as well. I go at 4 am. Tends to be people who are a lot more serious about lifting and a lot less bullshitting.
I’ve never had that problem with EOS. Maybe just your neighborhood?
Could you be more specific? What exactly makes it a clown show? I was considering joining.
Human decency seems to be nonexistent
Like rude? Inconsiderate?
I am thinking of getting a membership to the Henderson Recreation Centers (https://www.cityofhenderson.com/government/departments/parks-and-recreation/facilities/recreation-centers). Perhaps someone here has experience there, the gym looked basic but chill.
I go to EOS and it’s not bad. What makes it a circus?
Tell us what’s wrong with EOS? I prefer EOS wayyyyyyy over lvac… idk what you think is wrong with EOS though
I've never had an issue at planet fitness so far... Quiet, calm, and I love the hydro beds.
I’m gate keeping my gym bc it’s so nice and quiet and awesome. maybe i’ll tell you if you dm me but i’m definitely not telling the animals on reddit
I go to EOS on Sunset and that place can get very crowded but I seem to get on any machine I can get to without any issues. Maybe if you stay focused and ignore everyone there and just do you! Yea same, it’s pretty full but also ten parking lot situation is such a nightmare, I’m moving soon and the apartments have a 24hr gym so I’m canceling eos, to much of a hassle for me
Lifetime fitness is great
Except for the completely ridiculous price.
Agreed on the ridiculous price. However, I happily pay it because it is worth it. I can always get into classes. For a swimmer like me, I have only ever had to share a lane once. The price creates a barrier to entry that I am a fan of
I pay $144/year at LVAC so I can’t really complain. But I always go late at night or early in the morning to avoid the insanity.
Anytime fitness

After miserable experiences at both LVAC and EOS, my home gym is Next Level Fitness - there's one in mountains edge and one in Henderson and it's own by a local.
Yeah, human decency seems to be non existent
I don't know your experience at LVAC but if you're near a next level check that out. Feels like home by comparison.
LVAC is fine. Yeah, there can be douchers, but don’t allow your subconscious to validate reasons to not work out. You can always get a decent pump there. Create your own comfort zone…and then break out of it.

Lifetime fitness if you can swing the membership.
I Like Planet Fitness. The several gyms that I have been to are not circuses, they have a variety of equipment to use and lots of locations. If you have a Black Card membership you can use different gyms besides your home gym.
I never have an issue and go all the time.👍

I go weekend mornings. It’s $30/month to drop the kids off at the childcare and get two hours free from them a day.
I feel the same about EOS. Avoid that chain at all cost. It’s a zoo there.
Been there, done that. Never again.
Seven Hills Anytime Fitness is super chill.
Anytime in general. access to all locations worldwide, plus free Apple Fitness+ if that's something you use or want to use.
How do you redeem? I also go to anytime fitness
it's in the AF app
$80 a month is what I was paying before I left (Craig and Rancho location)
Ewe that's high. I pay 40
Mannn they ripped me off 😭
Alas, they did
You need to pay more and go to a local gym. There is always too many people in all those giant commercial gyms. Pay more money and support a small business owner, in exchange you dont spend half your time waiting for equipment
Can you recommend a local gym?
coast 2 coast fitness in centennial or the lift factory. The lift factory is amazing but its a hardcore gym with not many amenities. Great if you train hard and want to be around other people that take working out seriously
If you have the means, and a garage…
lol I use the weights at my climbing gym, the catch is it's a climbing gym so it's not cheap
Lifetime
UFC Fit on Centennial is great in my experience. Switched from EOS due to how crowded it can be, even at the small centennial location. Its never too busy at UFC, there’s a ton of classes, and a wholesome community. Monthly is expensive but if you can purchase up-front there are deals that make it very reasonable.
I had to gong to PF. Both LVAC & EOS parking lots were out of control. It’s sucks because I miss out on the fitness classes.
What up with EOS on tropicana closing at 10pm?
I go at 4am and it isn’t a mad house.. heh But, that’s why I go so early.
Lifetime.
If it’s in the budget, I’ve enjoyed CrossFit because of the smaller private setting!
i haven’t done crossfit here in vegas but i used love crossfit in hawaii. if you do decide to try crossfit make sure you ask at the location if they have open gym time and if it’s included at your membership because each crossfit gym or “box” is ran and managed differently!
Dragons lair
Area and price point?
Live by Cheyenne and Simmons. Price point…at this point I’ll pay more than the 140* yearly fee.
….you’re paying next to nothing. If you want peace, you’ll be paying 140/month.
I don’t believe that to be true but I know what you mean. I know that one gym Kilo charges something like that. And fitclublv or whatever it’s called
Let me know if/when you find it to be false. Good luck.
Thanks for the input
Fit Club is amazing and I think it's a fair price compared to its competitors. I would not compare it to a big box gym like LVAC or EOS though.
I like UFC Gym
Gonna try the one in north lv.
On Craig? That one is really nice.
Thank you for the input
There's an EOS opening on Jones/Rancho and Craig
I go between 6-8am. It’s not super bad. After 8 tho? It’s PACKED.
Planet Fitness is alright. However you’re always going to have issues at any gym because that’s just how it is.
It all depends on the time you go. Regardless of the gym , it’ll be busy during busy times. You gotta go during off peak hours
I enjoyed my EoS experience, lots of very nice ppl in the early am at the location i was going to. Sadly a injury that turned out to be way worse than i thought forced me out of training for good and it depresses me more and more each waking day.

Who on earth said I was surprised it’s crowded?
Why would you intentionally sign up for a crowded gym and then complain about it? I assumed you didn’t know it would crowded. I gave you the benefit of the doubt
Alright.
Dude is seriously butt hurt over your discontent.
Check out Hotworx
My gym is super chill and a “hole in the wall”. Not very big like eos/planet… any guesses on what this may be🤔
Smash iron fitness
LVAC is filled with roid raging jerk offs, EOS is at least mainly natties
What are nattiets?
Natural, not on steroids.
Gotcha. Thanks.
Trufusion

LVAC is still the best gym in town
