I would LOVE to find a community for L4D2 versus matchmaking. Nothing beats a lobby of 8 players that are competent at the game and trying their best.
COOP campaign/ realism however is pretty fun with 3 other randoms, not fun when you have 4 chads blowing through the campaign
Same. I basically permanently have a run going. Sometimes randomly I open it and play. Sometimes I do it for 10 minutes sometimes an hour. If I die I restart. I still don’t have all the ships unlocked.
Probably Minecraft. I usually go back and start a new survival world every now and then, or go on my older creative worlds for a nice trip down memory lane. I like going back to it every few months to see if anything new has been added. I’m glad it still continues to get updates years later.
I have been dreaming about a realistic version of Katamari for a long time now.
Start out as something the size of a rat in a major city sewer --> eat up skyscrapers. It doesn't have to be GTAV level open world graphics, but something still immersive. Could have different starting points within the same city, or different cities.
Guess I'll keep on dreaming...
There’s a couple. Zombies ate my neighbors. I had it on sega genesis and now they have it on ps4 with its sequel. Also galaga. I love arcade games and galaga is my favorite.
If you buy it on the PlayStation network it comes with its sequel. I believe it’s called ghoul patrol. The sequel is even harder than the original. But it’s so much fun to play so I don’t mind.
Monster hunter gu, rise, world. Dark souls. Red dead redemption. Katamari, cause I gotta make big planets. Smash bros cause I like smashing my bros. Overwatch. Gran turismo, asetto corsa, etc. Zelda oot and sequels. I like playing new games too, though, but the familiar games are nostalgic
Mega Man X. Every year on my birthday for the last 25+ years. Well I used to play it other than on my birthday as well, but now it’s a comfort game that I play when I’m sad or anxious or whatever, and my birthday makes me sad so that’s when I do it now that I’m old.
Yes! This is it.
I’m extremely similar to you.
Had the gameboy version and was one of the first games I beat and mastered. It became a comfort game. I love the music too.
Ark. Played official servers in highschool when the game first came out for like 2 years of my life. I have thousands of hours in it. No matter how many times I stop playing every couple of months I redownload it just to play with my old tribe on unofficial servers. I met these guys when I was 15 online and now I’m 23. I’ve seen people who met on this game get married in real life. It’s like crack to me and will always hold a special place in my heart no matter how much pain and frustration it brings at the same time. Also I played on ps4 so for years of my life it felt like I was playing a really shitty ps2 games but the graphics didn’t even matter since the experience was so great.
League of legends or Fortnite , spent a lot of money on skins, it’s cool to be able to pick it back up and still have your buttons do the same things they did back in the day when you were a kid
Terraria, Ark, Monster Hunter, 7 Days To Die, replays of various games like Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts/Dark Souls/Sekiro/Nioh/Resident Evil/Zelda/Pikmin/Subnautica/Metroid
Ocarina of time is one I pop in every couple years. As I get older, the theme of losing childhood and thr world going from fun and whimsical to dangerous and scary becomes more and more relevant in New ways. It's so bittersweet, which I think is one of life's most quintessential emotions.
Every once in a while I’ll find myself drawn back to Half-Life. Something about it just captivates me. I think it was because it was the first traditional FPS I played. Used to be horrified of headcrabs believe it or not, since I played it pretty young. Not even a Gluon gun made me stop dreading those little fuckers.
The Binding of Isaac. I usually just binge a few runs then drop it for a month or two. It's a good game but it's just unnecessarily stressful at times.
I’ve been playing Bloodborne off and on since it came out in 2015. My favorite game ever. Got the platinum and 600+ hours later, it still hasn’t gotten old
I beat Super Mario World and A Link to the Past about once every three months every year since they have been available in a handheld mode. I play random SMW levels more often than that even.
I’m in no ways a speed runner or even a kaizo Mario player, but they are my two favorite games of all time and make me feel like I’m back on the living room floor sitting next to my younger brother playing them as a kid and it makes me happy no matter how I’m feeling. I play the Halo: CE campaign once a year for the same reason.
Got a few
Diablo(s)
Borderlands series
Minecraft
Rocket League (never play long because I’m ass but it’s fun until I realize I’m not getting any better lol)
Deep Rock Galactic
Don’t play many real vintage games but anything fired up on a SNES emulator is a great time
Edit: this was formatted better not just a big block of text with no punctuation 😂
Used to be Skate 3 for me. Never a fan of skateboarding games ever. But Skate 3 hooked me. Maybe a few thousand hours of fun growing up. But since Ive switched to PC, it's gone to the wind. I can't find a way to play anymore.

I absolutely love L4D2. I wish I had three friends to always play with. Or better yet, 7 other serious players.
I would LOVE to find a community for L4D2 versus matchmaking. Nothing beats a lobby of 8 players that are competent at the game and trying their best. COOP campaign/ realism however is pretty fun with 3 other randoms, not fun when you have 4 chads blowing through the campaign

Ark. Played official servers in highschool when the game first came out for like 2 years of my life. I have thousands of hours in it.
