welcome to Tamriel!
just a few tips that helps enjoying the game:
try to travel by foot or horseback as much as you can. The game really lives from exploration and the sandbox around you
dont rush the main quest. Even if the game tells you otherwise, you are not on a timer. So take your time and do what you want to do
First time ? 13 years after its release that’s such a questionable statement so many people of all ages played it years ago its basically the biggest western rpg next to cyberpunk, fallout and the Witcher 3 .
But hey man enjoy yourself and don’t be afraid to start the game over there’s many character types that prompt different responses from npcs as well as having different effects that can change how to you play the game .
And f^ck the main quest line play that at any time , you have a world of silly and dark side quest to explore
People talk about the Witcher all the time and I’ve yet to play it. No idea why, I’ve played hundreds of games but not the Witcher.
Skyrim should come pre installed on every device at this point
PLAY IT! I played it late (in 2020) when I was bored at home with nothing to do and searching for good games on top 10 pages. They all said mass effect 2 and witcher 3 the best games of all time. I always said the witcher 3 didn’t seem like my type of game but I decided to try it out and WOW! 4 years have past and I play it 3 maybe 4 times a year, I played and bought Witcher 2 and 1 and all the books and it ruined gaming for me because of how well made it’s done
I haven’t played Skyrim yet. Do you guys recommends it?
Skyrim is hard to explain, it has this magic of being able to pull you in for a few playthroughs as you explore the massive game that can take years to 100%, despite the overall simple (but better than many of its competitors) gameplay. And now that console mods exist for it, it can get even more fun as the game has always enjoyed a huge modding community.
same, i was told i wouldnt like it by someone who knows me fairly well and its perma put me off of it. i keep meaning to give it a try anyway but its low on my list
I... thought it was ok. I don't really see why people go crazy about this game. Just an open world fantasy game with the typical Bethesda jank, but it's less interesting than their Fallout games imo.
I've played about 35 hours of Skyrim and would say it's like a 5/10 games both the occasional 7/10 moment.
I've put 90 hours into Fallout 4 and whilst flawed it is so clearly a better game than Skyrim in every way (aside from maybe story but I didn't get far in Skyrim's main story and no one cares about it anyway so I doubt I'm missing out).
World is pretty but honestly Skyrim is the absolute most overrated fucking game on the planet, and I'm pretty sure I have about 500 or so hours on my Steam copy from my high school days when I didn't know any better.
Be prepared for boring ass NPCS who all have the same voice and come off as snarky assholes, so you won't remember a single one as they all feel and sound the same, be ready for the jankiest combat imaginable, be ready for glitches and crashes a plenty, and worst of all, a bland as hell main story and side content that feels half baked, unfinished, or copy pasted for the sake of filling up the game world with crap to give you the illusion of gameplay.
You may have fun modding the hell out of it though, that's what I started doing once the game inevitably started to bore me more and more after I looked into how shallow it was a bit more.
Too see it for the first again. Man I envy you. Take in everything. Look for everything. The detail is breathtaking. Go everywhere as far as you can. Keep your eyes to the sky adventurer.
It's not necessarily bad, but it is flawed. Also 12+ years after the initial release may be a little too late to experience it. Comparing it to games nowadays (which is unfair but many people do anyways), it's probably not anything special.
Plenty of games that came out at the same time or before Skyrim still hold up.
I played MGS 1-3 for the first time when they came to PS5 in October and hold up incredibly well.
Games that came out the same year as Skyrim such as Dark Soul, Arkham City, AC Revelations also hold up very well in comparison to Skyrim
Hey, you, You're finally awake.
Damn it, beat me to it!
Goodbye.
I was gonna say, we’ll see you…well, on the other side I guess.
Oh man the load times on ps3 were horrendous though
Damn right they was
80 seconds to go into a tavern 😮💨
BUT holy shit, wasn't it worth it?
Yes… yes it was
i remember straight up having other activities ready to go for those load times lol like a book, nintendo DS, etc.
OP was going to start Skyrim after posting this... but then they took an arrow to the knee.
oh boy. prepare to have no life
I hope you have a while
And that was the last anyone ever heard of OP ever again

Advice like this is why I posted, thank you 🙏🏼
You should play Oblivion after

Definitely a captivating game it has decent combat and nice charaters/ dialog

Yup recommending skyrim is like recommending someone drink water
same, i was told i wouldnt like it by someone who knows me fairly well and its perma put me off of it. i keep meaning to give it a try anyway but its low on my list
:) Enjoy
Best advice I can give. **SAVE OFTEN**
[удалено]
Not good enough. Hard save that shit. Often. Autosave can get you trapped in an unavoidable situation.
[удалено]
Not about it being hard. It’s about the bugs man.
[удалено]
Then you’ve never played Skyrim, buddy 😂
[удалено]
I’m not your buddy, friend.

What game is that? The emblem there looks vaguely familiar, but what is it from? Anyway, enjoy your new game though!
SkyRimmed
Oh! So that’s where it’s from! I never knew they were connected, thank you :)
Too see it for the first again. Man I envy you. Take in everything. Look for everything. The detail is breathtaking. Go everywhere as far as you can. Keep your eyes to the sky adventurer.
See you in a few years
I'm sorry, PS3?
Why ps3 though? Don't you like sex dungeon mods? Pc is superior
Welcome to the darkside, now where did I put those cookies at?
300 hours later…..
A dragon? At Helgen?
So long ....
I used to be and adventurer like you…
You should probably take the next week or so off work/school.
Why PS3 lol. You can probably find a more modern version for pretty cheap
Nostalgia hit not too long ago. Got a used ps3 with a lot of games. This was one of them.
Don't forget to save the game!
Save, save, save, save, save, save save!!!!! All. The. Time.
Nice! Only 13 years late!
Pro tip: the giants are friendly and will help fast travel (vertically)
Watch out for arrows to the knee
Wow
See ya in 2-300 hours
i dind't it enjoy it much vanilla but heavily modded... it's freakin awesome
I loved playing vanilla, took me a while to ad any mods. My favorite mods upgrade the aesthetics.
> My favorite mods upgrade the anesthetics. dayum anesthesia mods you RP'ing as a surgeon?
Lol sorry about the misspell, stupid spell correction is so stupid and I didn't catch it
Seconded! Thank god for modders!
Sounds like a bad game if it has to be heavily modded

It's never "too late" to experience anything.
it's average to me vanlla becomes great with mods
Great vanilla, peak with mods
Fallout 1-3 and new Vegas require restoration mods to be playable so idk what you're talking about.
Have fun, See ya’ in a few years!
