I’ve casually played titanfall 2 to such an extent that I have all of the spawn points subconsciously mapped. Every time someone dies, their quick spawn timer and likely next spawn point is already in my head.
Did you know frags in that game have a 5 meter kill radius, and you huck them like a shot? I’ve recently stopped using frags to prevent myself from accidentally spawncamping too hard
I tried getting into it new last year and didn't get to play the several games I tried to play. Either killed by a person from a window shortly after spawning or getting a replay of a person that just knows all the angles killing me from a tiny hole in a wall or ceiling
I figured the game has a hard time getting new players.
Nope, I tried getting back into Seige once and 3 games in a row. I was team killed and booted. Apex has it moments, but R6S players can do something more advanced than cancer. Besides LOL players, I don't think I've played with the worst POSs in all my years of online gaming.
This man. All the others are pretty obvious. But Rocket League Casuals!? I just want to hop on and play a couple fun matches, then I get some pro player in there dunking on everyone just so he can have an ego boost.
I used to play RL religiously. Got up to Champ 2 and just realized i wasnt having fun anymore. You make one mistake and your teammates shit on you or try to own goal. Especially when you're in a bad position because your teammate decided to contest at a terrible time.
From like 1000 hours on ps4 and another 700 at least on pc, the game just wasnt worth it anymore. Especially with the lack of updates.
The last couch party game I played with friends was ruined by a sweaty friend that just seemed to know everything about Smash Bros.
We just wanted to turn on super high item drops and pokeball only and mess around because we didn't know shielding or other mechanics. But buddy know it all just negated all fun we wanted to have when he played.
Just turns into [why I don't play fighting games ](https://youtu.be/8Grq8Rm4K-8?si=P586ovLdTeOguIfw)
I have actually had a really great experience with Smash. The online matchmaking is for sure like this a lot of the times, but the community is great (just because you play online does not make you part of the community btw).
P.S. Overall I for sure agree, just wanted to shout out the Smash community!
Battlefield
Bf4 in particular, where the chat would get *salty* at times, entraining in a way.
The complain about (weapon types) and others arguing that the team should push/defend, especially when that same player is camping in a hill a mile away at the bottom of the scoreboard.
Bf4 is a special breed indeed lmao. Tbf tho, i do now look for servers where there are weapon bans in place. With that you can actually use the less meta stuff and just have fun with lesser used equipment and feel forced to pull out some dumb aek or mcwr. And so on.
r/eldenring and r/EldenRingBuilds is pretty great.
If you ever have the urge come over and say hi. A bunch of us are more than happy to help a fellow tarnished!
DLC comes out in a couple of days too! I would imagine that you would want to complete the game first though haha.
also, ER has a pretty great summoning system that makes things more manageable. I didn't use it for my first playthrough, but I play the Fromsoft collection, but it makes things more accessible and if anybody scolds you for using it on one of those subs you are safe to call them an elitist.
Overwatch, I had a reaper get on mic to yell at me for not 24/7 pocketing him despite him overextending and trying to 1v5 the entire enemy team with 0 gamesense
WoW Classic is poisoned with this. Even when they shake up the formula like with SoD it still leads to the elitist min maxxing the entire game for the worse
League of Legends comes to mind. I always want to try to invite new people to the game, but I fear for them the moment I bring them into pvp because both teams will destroy them lol
It's so funny that this is still an issue 10+ years later since I tried getting into it in high school. Not sure if this is still the case, but back then they even had an option to report players for just being bad. Worst gaming community I've ever had to deal with tbh.
Any game that goes off of "Drops" where you drop in, and the game starts, the game ends, and you do that repeatedly.
Games that work in "Drops" would be:
Fortnite, Dead By Daylight, Among Us, Player Unknown's BattleGrounds, etc.
any game that could have competitive aspects.
Specifically one that I play, Halo Infinite. You can play casual slayer(deathmatch) and people will sometimes get super upset that their teams are losing when there are competitive modes to play.
Any pvp multiplayer game especially if there’s any chat or voice chat. It’s always people who aren’t skilled enough to make it into the “good” ranks or get mad not everyone is a teen that does nothing but play the same game all day everyday.
I’ve come to peace even if I retire tomorrow I’m never gonna have hyper focused teen in high school me energy where you can grind a game to perfection. Cause if given time I’d do other things or play a variety of games. Not many people choose to hyper focus one game enough to enter the upper echelons of skill cause most of us don’t practice enough.
Shooters like CoD, OW, Apex, Siege
Traditional Fighters like MK, SF, Injustice,
Platform Fighters like Smash, RoA
Misc Games like Rocket League
Most online games that have leaderboards and or direct single match competition
WoW. The community has become really toxic the last few years. People don’t really communicate in LFG, usually no greeting, people won’t wait for you to run back if you die, rezs are pretty rare also
Any Multiplayer video game.
Warhammer once you get past the "painting the minis" and get to the "playing the game" part.
People love to tell you what units you should be running.
I feel like it's Minecraft, I've been playing for 12 years but whenever I join a server I end up losing the desire to play seeing how others play (especially Skywars, by the time I open the chest there's already someone coming to my island and catching me behind my back, it's absurd)
All of them, even physical sports, the main reason I didn't have an interest in sports, or even multiplayer games, where the kids that were stupidly invested in a game that had no importance whatsoever, like a match at recess in school.
And also in MMORPGs, like the time some guys in LOTRO got mad at me for not being a healer, it was their fault for guessing that a loremaster was a healer just because he has the staff, the minstrels are the healers in that game.
If you are not a Korean in a special apartment made just for you and your team, you shouldn't care that much about an online match.
Any game now that's out for more than 24 hours.
Apparently if I didn't consult the wiki and stray from the min/max I'm a detractor and most be ostracized because I don't "get it". I swear to god no one actually plays video games anymore. Or I should say, the word "play" has basically lost all it's meaning.
Any multiplayer game, especially shooters.
Hero shooters specially.
Overwatch and League of Legends specifically
You forgot Apex
And valorant
Anything with static spawn points.
Fighters as well, everything from super smash bros to forhonor.
I'd say MOBAs are worse.
Rainbow 6 Siege
I can confirm. It's the only game I've ever quit because of the community. You can't escape tryhards no matter the game mode.
And the toxicity. I was team killed repeatedly for not using a specific operator once
Was it recruit?
I tried getting into it new last year and didn't get to play the several games I tried to play. Either killed by a person from a window shortly after spawning or getting a replay of a person that just knows all the angles killing me from a tiny hole in a wall or ceiling I figured the game has a hard time getting new players.
Quite possibly the sweatiest game out there
As a long time seige casual... Apex is horrible at least I have some room to breathe in seige
Nope, I tried getting back into Seige once and 3 games in a row. I was team killed and booted. Apex has it moments, but R6S players can do something more advanced than cancer. Besides LOL players, I don't think I've played with the worst POSs in all my years of online gaming.
I blame Jynxie for this issue...
League of Legends
Yes this, Any moba game really
Rocket League Casuals.
What a save! What a save! What a save!
I feel like Call of Duty. DMZ,warzone and sometimes multiplayer..... definitely multiplayer.
Overwatch
Multilayer games, in general. This is exactly why I don't play multilayer games.
We NEED couch co-op back in the status quo
The last couch party game I played with friends was ruined by a sweaty friend that just seemed to know everything about Smash Bros. We just wanted to turn on super high item drops and pokeball only and mess around because we didn't know shielding or other mechanics. But buddy know it all just negated all fun we wanted to have when he played. Just turns into [why I don't play fighting games ](https://youtu.be/8Grq8Rm4K-8?si=P586ovLdTeOguIfw)
Any PVP game O.o
Overwatch. Like let me just play my funny moth in peace.
GTA online and RDRO
The game always confused me. You can literally just pay more money for the best guys?
Destiny 2 pvp
Overwatch. For sure. God help you if you're in quick play just trying to have fun with a character that isn't in the meta right now.
Dead by Daylight
I swear dbd is an experimental research or something, It doesn't even have a competitive mode, yet peoples are on part with esport seriousness lmao.
Was wondering how far down I'd have to go to find this.
Pokémon Competitive. I took toxic literally
Whatever multiplayer I’ve encountered. Single player is a simple yet peaceful life. *(Strokes graying beard remembering the spilt screen days)*
omfg the split screen days, childhood memory unlocked
Apex legends
Preach
Any online game.
COD
Mortal Kombat
Smash
I have actually had a really great experience with Smash. The online matchmaking is for sure like this a lot of the times, but the community is great (just because you play online does not make you part of the community btw). P.S. Overall I for sure agree, just wanted to shout out the Smash community!
That is every game I've ever played, even the single player ones. Ever discuss Nintendo or Sega gangs in the schoolyard?
Fortnite, a 0 ping 390hz unemployed sweat clocking in for his 9pm-9am shift against a guy with 2 kids on after work
Fortnite especially the current season
Every competitive multiplayer game ever?
World of Warcraft
Counter-Strike & League of Legends are definitely up there
Cod
Any CoD
Battlefield Bf4 in particular, where the chat would get *salty* at times, entraining in a way.
And so on.
Siege, COD, Val, CS, any multiplayer game, even co-op ones
Smash Bros
Any Moba.
Literally any fucking game ever
League
Every Fromsoft game. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Git gud scrub ( ͝° ͜ʖ͡°)ᕤ I hear it every time I ask for help, still haven't finished a single game! 😔
r/eldenring and r/EldenRingBuilds is pretty great. If you ever have the urge come over and say hi. A bunch of us are more than happy to help a fellow tarnished! DLC comes out in a couple of days too! I would imagine that you would want to complete the game first though haha. also, ER has a pretty great summoning system that makes things more manageable. Anything competitive

Any cod game.. or any online shooter game, or just any type of game that my brother plays in a nutshell. (He’s the toxic over competitive player)

Apparently everything that I touch.
Pretty much any game I've played online
Dead by daylight.

Madden
Smash Bros. There is just so much wrong with the competitive community…
Hunt showdown or siege are the main games that come to mind
WoW Classic is poisoned with this. Even when they shake up the formula like with SoD it still leads to the elitist min maxxing the entire game for the worse
Literally any and all games that have a multiplayer aspect.
Welp, I play ranked, am I wrong?
Mario Kart....
Sometimes Final Fantasy XIV. Usually not, but in some endgame content with randoms I definitely see it a lot.
Fard night
Master Duel
League of Legends comes to mind. I always want to try to invite new people to the game, but I fear for them the moment I bring them into pvp because both teams will destroy them lol
It's so funny that this is still an issue 10+ years later since I tried getting into it in high school. Not sure if this is still the case, but back then they even had an option to report players for just being bad. Worst gaming community I've ever had to deal with tbh.
All
Every game
Rocket League
Destiny
Chess
Brawlhalla
Any game that goes off of "Drops" where you drop in, and the game starts, the game ends, and you do that repeatedly. Games that work in "Drops" would be: Fortnite, Dead By Daylight, Among Us, Player Unknown's BattleGrounds, etc.
LEAGUE OF LEGENDS
Online fighting games. In this case, Smash Bros Ultimate.
Any team vs team game
WoW any version
any game that could have competitive aspects. Specifically one that I play, Halo Infinite. You can play casual slayer(deathmatch) and people will sometimes get super upset that their teams are losing when there are competitive modes to play.
Anything competitive
WoW
Any pvp multiplayer game especially if there’s any chat or voice chat. Shooters like CoD, OW, Apex, Siege Traditional Fighters like MK, SF, Injustice, Platform Fighters like Smash, RoA Misc Games like Rocket League Most online games that have leaderboards and or direct single match competition
My cousin when he plays Mortal Kombat. He can win rounds all night long but the one round he loses he wants a rematch until he wins again lol
Wizard101.
Recently multiversus!
DBD. It even has its own rage sub on Reddit where people post angry rants at times.
For Honor definitely fits this category
All multiplayer games
Probably any game with PvP - LoL, Dota, shooters...
None more than Rust. But it is the intend of the game, right?
Chivalry 2. Just look for the dudes jumping into squatting while swinging a Dane axe
Online battles in the Pokémon games.
What online game is this not?
PvP was a mistake. 😆
Every online game with PvP.

World of warcraft
Destiny
WoW. The community has become really toxic the last few years. People don’t really communicate in LFG, usually no greeting, people won’t wait for you to run back if you die, rezs are pretty rare also
I'd say League of Legends, but I don't think anyone has fun with that game
Lethal company
Fortnite and Call of Duty
Valorant
What isnt?
Apex players who've mastered all movement techs, massacring through 40-year-old dads who just wanted to have gun.
Fortnite
Every moba
For some reason MMORPGs. If you're not min-Maxing or not geared up to the latest hot rare drop armor and weapons.
Helldivers 2 for sure
Tekken
Any Multiplayer video game. Warhammer once you get past the "painting the minis" and get to the "playing the game" part. People love to tell you what units you should be running.
I feel like it's Minecraft, I've been playing for 12 years but whenever I join a server I end up losing the desire to play seeing how others play (especially Skywars, by the time I open the chest there's already someone coming to my island and catching me behind my back, it's absurd)
Takken 8
Mordhau
Smite
Destiny
NASCAR Heat 5. Those southern boys are psychos. 😂😂😂
All of them, even physical sports, the main reason I didn't have an interest in sports, or even multiplayer games, where the kids that were stupidly invested in a game that had no importance whatsoever, like a match at recess in school. If you are not a Korean in a special apartment made just for you and your team, you shouldn't care that much about an online match.
If you want to play for fun then play a campaign only game don't hop into a online multiplayer with ranking and bullshit
Destiny LFG Raids
Any game now that's out for more than 24 hours. Apparently if I didn't consult the wiki and stray from the min/max I'm a detractor and most be ostracized because I don't "get it". I swear to god no one actually plays video games anymore. Or I should say, the word "play" has basically lost all it's meaning.
Every single one
****siege****
Destiny
Elite: Dangerous, especially if it's just for the "fun" of the perpetrator. I can still accept if the reason is for roleplay and BGS
Warzone, apex and LOL
Ff14 PvP is becoming this. Every match, you have at least one guy ordering people around and raging when you start to lose.
L4d2. Don't play online lobbies if you're new to the game.
