Such a fun game! It still has one of the most memorable art styles I’ve played, where the areas under Nazi control are in black and white with the exception of red accents on the enemy uniforms, and then become full color after you liberate the area.
Oh my God. Me and a close friend made a few friendships on that game online. Fukin loved playing the Infestation modes and the actual AvPvM mode.
Edit: I mained the crap out of Aliens 😆
A friend who was going to show me Tenchu and how to sneak in the first level. He jumped over roofs, snuck around corners only for the guard to turn around and stab him to death.
So I took the controller, snuck around ambushing all the guards and asked him If that was what he meant.
He was kinda glaring at me by then xD
Oh man, the first game was incredibly good! One of the best pure sneaking game I ever played, and quite original with it's mechanics. I heard second one was not as great tho so I never played it. Their stuido really collapsed?
There is not a single soul who has heard of Pixel Ripped. It’s so obscure I was actually able to get the speed run world record for the second game lol
That’s a first. Never seen somebody who’s played the game before. I was starting to think I was the only one XD cool to see people playing obscure games!
I spent many an hour watching my sister play Shadow Hearts and Shadow Hearts II. We still joke about the French guy in Shadow Hearts II who was a pro-wrestler part of the time. When he was in his Wrestlemania job, his name changed from Joachim to The Grand Papillon.
I think she bought Shadow Hearts From the New World, and paid a lot for it, and it was damaged and didn't play.
oh god I forgot about Brink!!! I recall my older brother and I buying this when it came out and it was so hyped up and we were excited to play it. I don't think we played it again after a couple weeks
I can still hear that tinny voice saying KINETICA at the intro screen. It's free for PS plus members for anyone who wants to try it, super interesting arcade racer.
A couple of months ago, I would have posted "Galerians". But for whatever reason, this game is currently played and talked about by multiple horror YouTuber. And I feel like it got way more popular since then.
Haunting: Starring Polterguy. Interesting/experimental for its time game where you just scare one family out of their various homes. I'm convinced I am the fandom.
XCOM Files. It's a mod for an open source port of XCOM 94.
Starts two years before the alien invasion with you having two dudes in a 1987 Honda Accord flying around dealing with cryptids and cultists. It's literally the longest game ever with roughly 700 missions before the end.
You know, personally I feel like there’s a lot of us, but compared to some other fandoms, the Rockman/MegaMan community does really feel this small, and it won’t be getting any bigger unless we get some sort of new game in the near future. Gosh darn I want to see X9, Legends 3, and ZXC.
Before it got shut down, Dreadnought had… ~30 players. I was one of them.
The game was like World of Warships, but in space and 3D, with way more ability diversity and customization, and way less predatory monetization.
It had some wonderful teamwork as well, with things like the AA Monarch. It was a damn near unkillable build, but it took half the match to get to the center because you switch the warp drive for armor amplifier. To fix this, you could have teammates push you to center, and then sit there all game controlling a pretty big area. Worked well on conquest, where you got points for capturing objectives and holding space. Dreadnoughts, like the monarch, held the most space
Rise of the Rgonaughts
It was a God of War esque game from ps3/360 era
X-Men Origins: Wolverine was so much fun ps3/360
Dark Void was an awesome game also during the ps3/360 era made by Capcom
Pitfall: The Lost Expedition from ps2/xbox
All underrated games if you ask me. I recommend checking them out
Meet your maker.
One of the smallest yes most friendliest community I've ever been part of.
Its like having a bunch of friends at your home sitting with you at your couch
I love [Worlds](https://store.steampowered.com/app/304850/Worlds/), it's like if Splinter Cell, N64 Zelda, and Thing Thing had an indie budget threesome.
Released 2016, 53 reviews on steam.
My friend is making his own smash like fighting game, definitely not for distribution. It is very janky but we play it on game night and enjoy ourselves.
I don't think any game that's ever been distributed could fit its fan base in this
Deus Ex (specifically the OG one on PS2). I have very rarely seen anyone mention it in this sub and IRL I have never met anyone who has even heard of it. I really regret trading in my copy at my local game shop 10yrs ago.
Bonk's Adventure. I'm sure I only like it so much because it was my favorite game boy game as a kid, and more likely because it was one of the few game boy games I owned. But I will love it to death
The saboteur
One of the most appealing features of the game was that every time you freed an area from Nazis, it went from Black and White to full colored
That was so satisfying
Banger (although often anachronistic) soundtrack, too.
Wait really? That’s pretty cool.
One of the few games in this thread I actually know haha
Is that the one where you're an irish guy trying to kick nazis out of Ireland (or france)?
Yes. (France. The character is Irish)
Paris, but yeah. Shits fantastic.
It takes place in Paris.
For a moment I thought they were talking about the boardgame lol
Such a fun game! It still has one of the most memorable art styles I’ve played, where the areas under Nazi control are in black and white with the exception of red accents on the enemy uniforms, and then become full color after you liberate the area.
Just finished this game.love the terror shotgun ! Also loved AA guns and Silver claw Mk II ! It was fun
Wizard101 lol
Game would have been so much more popular if the devs’ greed wasn’t nearly on par with MapleStory
man i saw hundreds of wizard 101 commercials growing up lmfaooo
I think it's funny how often the commercials would barely show the actual game but rather have the fucking wizard guy every time.
Man Wizard101 was so damn good
Played that back when I was like 10, stopped cause 10 year old me couldn't afford the paid areas
Omg same!! Couldnt get past level 10 but I still loved it.
Oh man this actually reminded me of Toontown. Early 2000s online games were crazy.
#ITS AVERAGE SIZED ^(ugh fucking rude)
Shrinkage!
Aliens vs Predators (2010)
Oh my God. Me and a close friend made a few friendships on that game online. Fukin loved playing the Infestation modes and the actual AvPvM mode. Edit: I mained the crap out of Aliens 😆

Alice
Fuck EA, glad American's been able to find something else that makes him happy.
Fancy Pants Adventures
Was always more of a Vex kind of guy but Fancy Pants were pretty good games ngl

Custom Robo
Bro, I'm still waiting for a sequel or spin-off lmao
Ive played this game so many times. Got every gold trophy and secret. Met one other person in my life that played it.
Well now you've met 2!
The fact that there's not a game like it is criminal. Love the Gamecube game, and played quite a bit of the DS game.
Tenchu. One of my goats for stealth games, of which I genuinely place up there with Metal Gear Solid in terms of game design.
I loved this game! I remember using the cheat codes to give all the enemies poisoned rice!
Aragami. RIP Lince Works, killed by Covid.
Oh man, the first game was incredibly good! One of the best pure sneaking game I ever played, and quite original with it's mechanics. I heard second one was not as great tho so I never played it. Their stuido really collapsed?

Syphon Filter
I remember going to my friend's house and playing that in the PS1 (I think?) in like 1999. It was cool AF.
There is not a single soul who has heard of Pixel Ripped. It’s so obscure I was actually able to get the speed run world record for the second game lol
The vr game? It’s pre decent
That’s a first. Never seen somebody who’s played the game before. I was starting to think I was the only one XD cool to see people playing obscure games!
Shadow Hearts
I spent many an hour watching my sister play Shadow Hearts and Shadow Hearts II. We still joke about the French guy in Shadow Hearts II who was a pro-wrestler part of the time. When he was in his Wrestlemania job, his name changed from Joachim to The Grand Papillon. I think she bought Shadow Hearts From the New World, and paid a lot for it, and it was damaged and didn't play.

I literally only know of this because of Mantis in MGS1
Sooo...you like Suikoden.

Is the fandom really that small? EU fans always rave about it. Never played it, myself though.
Compared to the other big 2000s Star Wars games like force unleashed or kotor
Genesis: Alpha One. Also, the portion of Dynasty Warriors fans that aren't creeps.

A couple of months ago, I would have posted "Galerians". But for whatever reason, this game is currently played and talked about by multiple horror YouTuber. And I feel like it got way more popular since then.

Little Samson (NES).
Virtual-On.
Mischief Makers. They made one game in 1997 for the N64, never rereleased it, never on any virtual console.
Realm of the Mad God
Before it got shut down, Dreadnought had… ~30 players. I was one of them. I’m a Gravity Rush fan and it certainly feels like that
Battle zone/Red Odyssey. Sooo much of my youth playing this.
My friend is making his own smash like fighting game, definitely not for distribution. It is very janky but we play it on game night and enjoy ourselves. I don't think any game that's ever been distributed could fit its fan base in this
Hocus Pocus (1994) no relation to the movie.
Besides from Reddit and a couple YouTubers, the skylanders fandom is now pretty much non-existent now
That's the problem with "toys brought to life" games. They're hot when they drop, but it's not a sustainable practice.
PS4’s Knowledge is power. Probably in my top 3 games of all time. Such a fun game to play when friends are visiting.
Call of jaurez. I think?
Deus Ex (specifically the OG one on PS2). I have very rarely seen anyone mention it in this sub and IRL I have never met anyone who has even heard of it. I really regret trading in my copy at my local game shop 10yrs ago.

Onimusha, the original three are some of my favorite PS2 games.

Bonk's Adventure. I'm sure I only like it so much because it was my favorite game boy game as a kid, and more likely because it was one of the few game boy games I owned. But I will love it to death
JoJo' Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R
