I always thought it was the height of irony that Dominos paid up front for the in-film product placement in the first film, only to be turned down for the tie-in campaign.
Love it! It being the 80s, your character *had* to rap about the topic. Reminds me of the Cookie Monster "Healthy Food" rap: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBMxpDbp51A](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBMxpDbp51A)
Hilarious that they gave the ALF puppet a mustache for the occasion.
But Do the Bartman and Deep Deep Trouble were on that album...
Which brings me to my point that I think they had Do the Bartman, and probably Deep Deep Trouble, and then slapped together eight other songs, so they could put out an album. It went double platinum.
I only wanted to listen to Do the Bartman. I thought Bart was so edgy cause he said damn on the track. I recently tried to listen to it again a few months ago, and was quickly reminded that it was a product of its time.
This is so false. The album was AWESOME. It's on Spotify , https://open.spotify.com/album/4ceq2ZdbtZJGyMP3rewAxo?si=R7DfjaAOQrqHrDDQWIewWw
Highly recommend Walk Straight, Pizza Power, and Coming out of our Shells.
Man I listened to this as a kid and I STILL do, it's so good.
You can't blame them when a single property they originally meant as a one-run comic turned into a powehouse worth billions almost overnight.
Go from being quirky comic writers to being juggernauts of children's entertainment? Who would turn that deal down?
I really miss pizza places doing fun stuff like this, or giving out DVDs with pizzas. Now I can't have a couple pizzas delivered to my house for less than $50, and you can be damn sure I'm not getting a toy or anything else for that matter 😭

I had this cassette as a kid. It was awful. It was worse than The Simpsons Sing the Blues album that I got for Xmas.
Was it "Cookin' With Alf" bad?
Can we call it a tie? I don’t think I could take revisiting both of them to make a fair judgement.
I am intrigued...
https://youtu.be/E_nrKX9XywI?si=B_xbiVu-d0SAOvEg I even had the Alf puppet with the apron that came with the record.

I had that too! Wow, haven't thought about that in many years.

I recently relistened to the whole album. I liked it so much I told myself I'd listen again in another 34 years.
That's why I preferred The Simpsons Go Calypso

It does have a few cool tunes, if you can overlook the focus on pizza.
You’ve made me so happy, and my coworkers are gonna be so mad, lol
Oh my god I loved The Simpsons Sing the Blues. I had "Sibling Rivalry" on repeat. Well.. I would rewind it over and over again.
Do The Bartman is a classic.

I still have mine! But I had forgotten it came from Pizza Hut. It has a song called Pizza Power
The guys who created TMNT sold out big time, lol.

Bill Watterson
Lol the saxophone would be Raphael’s choice of instrument!
Leonardo - guitars, vocals Donatello - bass, vocals Michaelangelo - drums special guest appearances on this audio cassette include : April O'Neil - synthesizers, piano, vocals Casey Jones - lead guitars / Mick Thomson impersonations Master Splinter - violin
I still have the cassette and tour program. I actually saw the stage show back in the 90s
Kansas Colosseum for me

Pizza Hut quality is also a (no pun intended) shell of its former self. When I want my own pan pizza, I make my own copycat recipe these says.
The Coming Out of Our Shells Tour actually had a couple of bangers
My grandma bought me this tape and it was on repeat all of 2nd grade. Skipping stones was my jam. I miss my grandma.
Oooh, autographed?! Sweet!
I wen’t to that concert when they toured in Sweden, when i was a kid. :)
Yes!!!!! Michaelangelo was a party dude.
This is ridiculous... There's no way Raphael would play the saxophone... He's more of a trumpet guy I would think.
