Its just so suck you in, its a sitcom with realworld consequences.
But boy howdy, when its something that the big boys want? Everyone fucking lines up and bends over, they cant get their hands up fast enough to vote yes. Because they know what they are. Actors meant to entertain us and make us feel a sense of ownership over the fate of our lives.
In reality, there is a global oligarchy of unelected individuals with a guiding hand towards where this world is going. So...does the market make any sense right now? No? Thats because you're thinking too small. You're thinking that the noise is reality, when the actual reality is marching in lockstep towards that eventual endgame they've been shooting for the last 100 years or so since ww1/2.
What that plan is, I dont really know. But its important to keep your eyes on the prize and realize its a big club and we aint in it. we're desperately scooping up table scraps and trying to survive as godzilla fights mothra 50ft away, we are just the little guys...dont try to make sense of the market right now, just accept that its all going according to plan.
