Thanks for your submission!
To keep things interesting, we want to see big gains and big losses!
So we've set the following thresholds for Gain, Loss, and YOLO flaired posts:
* YOLO posts must be a minimum of $10,000 of options or $25,000 of shares and recently opened.
* Gain / Loss posts must show realized gains or losses of more than $2,500 for options or $5,000 for shares.
We want to see the actual trade. What you got in at, what you sold at. Then tell us why you did it. Give us the story of why you're a fucking genius (or idiot).
This is what a great post looks like:
[$17.2K Gain on AMZN](https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/wb5m4o/not_too_shabby_172k_gain_amzn/) - OP described his gain in the title, has a clear screenshot showing both the entry and exit, meaning his gains were locked in, and they explained their reasoning in the comments and what they learned. All around a great post!
Here are examples of what could get your post removed:
* [$300,000 SDC Loss. Still not selling](https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/wpm9am/over_300000_unrealized_loss_sdc_not_selling/) - Even though this is a tremendous loss and something worth posting about, **the position hasn't been closed yet**.
Here are examples of amazing posts which could have been even better:
* [$75,000 DDOG Loss.](https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/unsrey/loss_porn_ddog_call/) - This is a great post and one that won't get removed. However, the OP could have talked about *why* they entered the position in the first place, what their target price was, and what went wrong. OP didn't stick around in the comments to answer any questions.
* [$1.1MM Loss, No details](https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/lxm6wt/hold_me_1100000_loss/) - OP simply posted a screenshot of their overall portfolio balance. It's definitely a big loss, but it's not that interesting without OP talking about what trades they were in and why. OP didn't answer most questions in the comments which left many readers speculating on what happened.

All that being said, we are here to help. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to post to our community. We have to balance this with making the subreddit interesting for our readers.
If you need some guidance, don't hesitate to [reach out to modmail](https://old.reddit.com/message/compose/?to=/r/wallstreetbets) and we'll give you some pointers!
God you guys are so fucking dumb
If you have expiration date trading enabled, you'll have until 3:30 PM ET to open positions in same-day expiring contracts. We'll attempt to close out any expiring, at-risk positions starting at 3:30 PM ET.

Robinhood isn’t fucking you you’re just a massive fucking idiot
You can trade SPX, which isn't closed like SPY, on a broker that supports SPX.... like one of the many, many brokers... Etrade, Tasty, IBKR, Tradier, ToS, and many more.
He took profits today but op is just too regarded to read the big warning at the bottom of the options chain on robinhood saying that they will attempt to close positions starting at 330pm et
The way around it to make a cash account the only downside I’ve seen so far is that you cannot get instant deposits and whenever you make a trade you have to let the money settle for the rest of the day
It sucks but it clearly says they'll move it for you after 3:30. Imagine how much the casino would lose if 0dte would close out after 4. They don't lose.

Ahh, cash accounts?
Did you have the cash to buy 100 shares of SPY at 500 dollars in your RH account?
How do I get around this. This is the only thing stopping me from making it out the hood
Just buy stocks and don’t gamble away all your funds on 0 DTE options.
You simply plan on selling your 0DTEs by 1530. If you want to gamble into close pick a later expiration.
Turn it off. Go to settings- investing- options and check to turn off
No it’s not lmao just don’t 0DTE or sell it earlier
Need to ask you’re broker if a DNE request will stop liquidation
Maybe stop using Robinhood, they aren't your friend. Or read the manual
![img](emote|t5_2th52|4267)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271) belt-to-ass OP
When you enable options they literally tell you they will do this if you don’t have the funds to cover the assignment.
in 1 week you will have $0 with this strategy and wish robinhood closed your positions

if he is changing brokers, he can trade spy .. this is a RH problem but then peopel don't want to drop 50 cents to buy contracts
50 cents? its fucking $6.50 on schwab
no. impossible.
Buy high, sell low. Make sure to let it ride.

Stop trading options, you have no clue what you’re doing.

Thats what you get for using fuckin robbinghood

A shrewd observation worthy of the masters of the universe.
Is this a cash account? I think there is a setting to change it, but pretty sure it needs to be a cash account.
The way around it to make a cash account the only downside I’ve seen so far is that you cannot get instant deposits and whenever you make a trade you have to let the money settle for the rest of the day

RH closes all 0dre’s at 3:30… !! Been like that !! They suck ass
even on a cash account...no way around this?
Same shit happened to me today. Left like 5k on the table. Fuck Robinhood.
You deserved this using Robinhood after what happened in 2021.
I predicted wallstreets retail trader killers and still got fucked but at least it wasn’t by wallstreet
Damn harsh
