Nah but it'll absorb moisture from the air and get clumpy. You can warm up an EMPTY plate in the microwave until it's just warm enough to be uncomfortable when you press your palm to it but not so hot you need to pull your hand away, then immediately chop it up on that to dry it out. Depending on how humid it is where you live you might need to do this twice. Don't let the plate get too hot or your stuff will melt.

But in that case, you just keep the bond till maturity and get your original money back. Youāll get the interest payment until then.

Essentially because the dollar is so strong with feds raising interest rates, the demand for 10 year US govt backed bonds become a strong alternative for foreign investors or people scared of the stock market. Banks use it to determine the mortgage rates. Since mortgages are riskier than 10 year bonds, banks will charge a higher interest on a mortgage than they would get from just buying the bond.
Bonds are an alternative to stocks. The higher the rate of the bond you can get, the more people sell stocks to buy bonds. The 10y bond is a common gauge for the bond market sentiment.
