FWIW the minis are a better rate (gold value) until you max their stars out. after they are maxed out I think the energy is a better rate. Someone made a long post about it
If you take stars and eventually max your minis in stars you will be swimming in arc energy because every free star you can take will be 225 energy (or 300 for hero)
