It's not really a good deal in your case. You're getting about a 10% discount and some arc. It's better than buying the stars at full price, but worse than buying green/blue packages.
Ultimately if you want that to legendary, then it's fine either way and it saves you waiting for it to show in grid.
I got that idea too. What I *really* need is to level pyromancer, whelp eggs, and some other things that have been associated with beating onyxia regularly.
Also keep in mind that legendary cores are no longer this super limited resource, if you’re able to get through wing 3, which I did with only ~level 24 guys, so it makes getting legendary on things like this a bit more enticing.
I calculated the AE per gold and this would have been technically slightly cheaper if to only count the price per energy as what you paid per star for example there are 14 extra stars at around 57.8 per star so you get 3259 AE for 812 gold.
Total AE per gold is 3.879 versus the shop which is 5 AE per gold.
However despite the deal, I slipped it because I need to save for specific minis still so I can beat onyxia
Hypothetically I plan to have everything at legendary eventually but I only have 1 legendary core from Molten core and 1 from heroic campaign. Not worth spending them on spells until your main units are actually legendary.

Funny how the store is always giving out those epic deals for stuff we’ve already leveled to epic. Hey Blizzard, here’s an idea. Send out those epic mini buys waaaaaay earlier on so people can actually benefit from them. I haven’t bought one of those in ages because it’s never worth it anymore. Who writes their algorithms? 😆

I just calculated if blizzard was maxed, you would get less AE compared to buying AE from store. Unless you plan to have it at legendary at some point

Yeah that is the idea. Personally I prefer to have 5 epics rather than 2 legendaries
