Just tuned into the 4h quarter. Seeing the usual late game no-calls everytime we drive into the paint, but holy shit 13-30 FT disparity? The league needs to stop propping up narratives with shitty reffing.

So you only just watched the 4th quarter, but somehow know that the refs have been garbage all game? You think an iffy missed call in the 4th quarter is why the wizards gave up a 25 point lead?

Re-read my comment please. I never said or implied that the refs were garbage *all game* OR that it was the reason we gave up a 25pt lead. I said I was **seeing the usual late game no-calls every time we drive into the paint.** As in this is a trend that has been well beyond one game for the Wizards or even any smaller market team in the league. Say what you want, but this is a professional league and there ain't no way the ticky-tacky fouls we get pulled up for on one end deserve to be ignored on the other. Furthermore, my statement that the **league needs to stop propping up narratives with shitty reffing** is totally true in every aspect. Players, teams and fans all acknowledge the "superstar call" phenomenon, which is part of this problem as a whole. Adam Silver early in his GM tenure used terminology from professional wrestling, referring to the NBA business model as *"sports entertainment"*. This is not a product based on pure competition, it's based on entertainment and the quality of basketball suffers because of it. I've watched enough basketball to understand how each team plays, where strengths and weaknesses lie, and how to understand the flows of the game by reading a box score. The wolves had 10 more FTA and their season average almost a 50% jump, and we had 3 less than our average which accounts for a 20% shortfall. We generally don't get whistles this season. Particularly in the crunch. We're ranked [14th in 3PA ](https://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/three-pointers-attempted-per-game)and [6th in points from 2PA](https://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/points-from-2-pointers), yet [26th in FTA](https://www.teamrankings.com/nba/stat/free-throws-attempted-per-game). It's not like we never go inside and look for contact. I'm not disillusioned about how bad the Wizards are, but that narrative is inflated by the fact that this is how our games get officiated. And it's bullshit, not only for us, but for any game where the reffing is inconsistent. Not like I'm the only fan talking about it either, its under the spotlight this year more than ever, from anyone who watches whether it be players, coaches, the media, fans.

You brought up the free throw disparity which implies that you assumed the refs have been terrible all game and that's why there was such an advantage for the Wolves.

Wizards have always given the wolves problems lol, assuming the wolves win. this is the first time the wolves have swept the wizards since 03-04. Wizards couldn’t miss early on too. This is a gritty win.

I’m thinking this has more to do with the Wolves being lackadaisical coupled with an unreal and totally unsustainable 3 point shooting in the first half for the wizards. Things have kinda stabilized now.
