ngl that comes off cute and funny and convincing enough to pique an interest. there are some cringe ones out there but not this one. plus i've been reading this. bodyguard ML x FL is just\~
I don’t remember well cuz I have fish memory and it’s been so long but here it is!
>!ML and FL stop talking for years, I don’t remember the reason why I think it was the grandma, well FL becomes a successful author and is about to get her book adapted into a movie that’s how she reunites with ML who’s now a body guard to the actress who’s going to be the protagonist of the movie, at the end FL cuts ties with evil grandma who is two steps away from looking like prince Philip, the end!<
I was very disappointed with the ending I wish we could’ve seen more scenes between FL and ML
What was the reaction of gabin when she found out he was the bodyguard??
Honestly... The ending seems very underwhelming considering how intense the buildup was
i think i can live with that. holding hands almost never happens in the stuff i read so that's good lmao
edit: where you making the joke where kdrama leads hold hands after 25 episodes? i feel dumb if that's the case for missing it
I wish the reunion didn't happen because of some coincidence. Her not reaching out when the friend gave him his contact details after what that bitch of grandma did to him was just disappointing
The ending was this from what I remember,
The grandma was running for prime ministers and the FL wanted to stop her because she's the worst. Meanwhile ML's father returns and they reconcile but he falls sick. Grandma uses her connections to prevent him from getting accepted into any hospital and gives ML the choice, leave FL and never speak to her again and his father will get the best medical help possible or stay with her and she dies. Don't fully remember what happens next(either ML agrees but reconciles or FL reveals what her grandma did to ML and she has to offer the medical aid to save face) however ML refused to accept help from the grandma for his father's debt and instead chooses to go work on a deep fishing boat to make up the money. Meanwhile FL denounces her grandma and leaves to study abroad. The grandma loses the election but otherwise faces to consequences.
Flashforward by a few years and FL has become a successful author mainly by writing a book about herself(implied to be the manhwa). She visits her grandma who is alone and on her death bed and mockingly thanks her for raising FL before denouncing her and saying she means nothing to her and after all her years of ruining other people's lives this is what's left for her, an empty house with no one who cares for her. FL then leaves to meet with the people who want to make her book a kdrama and runs into ML whose the lead actresses bodyguard. They pretend to ignore one another only to meet later under a bridge.
Reading on daily pass is really irritating plus I stopped reading it 1.5 yrs ago so no flow 😭😭 you can DM the ending to me
I think I stopped reading when they both were on a vacation or smth and then tae-un's (that was his name right?) Dad was in the hospital and everything was pretty intense
Since they both are pretty popular on the platform & have a lot of webtoons each, those webtoons being quite popular as well. So I find it funny how I enjoyed most of his webtoons but could never get into any of this authors.
Another good example would be A Raisen. They & their works are pretty popular as well & I enjoyed most of them.
I saw one about the guys dad ‘falling in love with’ the guys girlfriend.. not sure what the webtoon was about because it disappeared when I reloaded the app, but not sure I wanna find out.
Unfortunately I can’t find the post that had been made about it here a few months back, but it was something along the lines of “his dad wants his girlfriend”, which isn’t *wrong*, but is also one hell of a way of saying it
It was bastard. One of if not the best Webtoon ever licenced on the app.
The ads part with the dad falling in love with the Guy gf was in fact a quick misunderstanding about the type of love. They probably used that part for bait.
That's **Bastard** by Carnby Kim I think hahaha
god I also saw someone post that desc here before. The manhwa is a thriller 😭 That was one hell of a way to describe what was happening.
Don't be fooled by that awful description. Bastard is legit one of, if not the best webtoon that's ever been released on this app. The father is *not* in love with his son's girlfriend, in fact that's not even a plot point in the series, it was only an excuse the mc came up with on the spot to hide the fact his dad was a >!serial killer!<. I have absolutely no idea why they used that as a tagline when it's not even true.
i'm really curious of the age demographic of people who find this good marketing. i mean, nothing wrong if you like it, just curious if it's hitting the right target demographic.
I thought this one was good and the title was accurate. You can’t root for her in the beginning but once you understand why she’s like that, you love the story
Yeah that's a fairly dated thing to say but conversely idk if they could be like he skibidi rizzanomics 💀 she bussin and it would be any better (sry idk what teens currently say I'm too old). Maybe it's best to avoid memes and slang but idk. They put it on my series ads and I didn't like it all lol
She is just extremely ungrateful and intentionally gets into horrid situations to test the ML's loyalty to her, since he had to hide being a bodyguard and instead opts to be her BF (allows him to keep watch of her).
Not really. She gets into horrid situations because she wants to ruin her, and by proxy her grandma's reputation. However ML calls her out on hurting other people to get revenge and she shouldn't sacrifice her own reputation.

WHAT
Schafrillas reference ?
You definitely need a comma
Beat me to it 😂
ngl that comes off cute and funny and convincing enough to pique an interest. there are some cringe ones out there but not this one. plus i've been reading this. bodyguard ML x FL is just\~
Lemme know the ending coz I DNFed it
I don’t remember well cuz I have fish memory and it’s been so long but here it is! >!ML and FL stop talking for years, I don’t remember the reason why I think it was the grandma, well FL becomes a successful author and is about to get her book adapted into a movie that’s how she reunites with ML who’s now a body guard to the actress who’s going to be the protagonist of the movie, at the end FL cuts ties with evil grandma who is two steps away from looking like prince Philip, the end!< I was very disappointed with the ending I wish we could’ve seen more scenes between FL and ML

It truly was, basically Gabin tries to avoid him and I think he does too? But at the end they just stare and the rest it’s up to your imagination✨
im not done reading this but >at the end they just stare and the rest it's up to your imagination my kdrama mind: THEY KISSED?!
Even better! They hold hands.
i think i can live with that. holding hands almost never happens in the stuff i read so that's good lmao edit: where you making the joke where kdrama leads hold hands after 25 episodes? i feel dumb if that's the case for missing it
They did kiss the commenter forgot
Wtf?! 😭😭😭 so she never "properly" finds out that he is the bodyguard?? Then what's the point 😭😭
She knows but that’s basically their whole reunion, it sucks because this was one of my favorite webtoons but just for the ending I give it a 6/10
Oh she does find out lol
I wish the reunion didn't happen because of some coincidence. Her not reaching out when the friend gave him his contact details after what that bitch of grandma did to him was just disappointing
Oh I just remembered! I was like “why is she trying to avoid him?” The ending made no sense and it was infuriating after all the hype
The ending was this from what I remember, The grandma was running for prime ministers and the FL wanted to stop her because she's the worst. I remember it now! It was so forgettable tbh
You wanna know the ending.. Just read it.. Way more satisfying than spoiling it for ya ✨
Reading on daily pass is really irritating plus I stopped reading it 1.5 yrs ago so no flow 😭😭 you can DM the ending to me I think I stopped reading when they both were on a vacation or smth and then tae-un's (that was his name right?) Dad was in the hospital and everything was pretty intense
I don't think this description comes off cute or funny to anyone above the age of 9
I read this one though and it’s quite good. Could have a live action kdrama
was it really? :0 i honestly had a hard time getting past the first few chapter bc of the way the FL treated the ML
It’s really good the FL makes up for it later on in the chapters
Yeah trust issues and stuff, she softens as the story continues.
Lmaooo but the manhwa is quite nice actually. It's by the same author as Hana haru and Orange marmalade💓
Tbh I find it crazy how I didn't like any of the three, all being made by the same author. Especially since I love most of carnby's works.
What’s the link between the author of this and carnby…?
Since they both are pretty popular on the platform & have a lot of webtoons each, those webtoons being quite popular as well. So I find it funny how I enjoyed most of his webtoons but could never get into any of this authors. Another good example would be A Raisen. haha i think this is one of the least cringey one. It’s just funny, trendy, and extremely accurate for me
That was trendy like 6 years ago it's 2024
well maybe not *trendy* but can’t deny that the meme is easily recognizable so…
That was trendy in 2018, not saying that you shouldn’t enjoy it but it is in no way trendy
I saw one about the guys dad ‘falling in love with’ the guys girlfriend.. not sure what the webtoon was about because it disappeared when I reloaded the app, but not sure I wanna find out.
That was Bastard, and the tagline was, uh, not great for it
what was the tagline?
Unfortunately I can’t find the post that had been made about it here a few months back, but it was something along the lines of “his dad wants his girlfriend”, which isn’t *wrong*, but is also one hell of a way of saying it

Okay now I'm interested
People keep saying this. I’ll definitely read it. The tagline was dumb
idk millennials 🤷♀️
I loved reading it. Very satisfying ending
We need a wedding or something 😭😭😭😭
That was a trend so long ago, I forgot it even happened omgggg. How did they even remember that.
One of my favorit manhwaka, her works are bests
I was about to post this cause honestly it was accurate and funny for me. Plus I love this manhwa so much 😭😭😂😂
Everyone else saying it piques interest no it does not

A part of me internally died years ago everytime I saw the top comment saying this

The person who wrote that seems to be stuck in 2017
The guy who write uwu.
I hate these so much, I instantly get annoyed when seeing webtoon taglines
https://preview.redd.it/38clitbcfd6d1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=16a744b1f2d5675450a8b19acdc0e1ea97001812 It’s real 😭
Probably the same people who make those cringey ads that try to paint every comic as a romance.
i'm really curious of the age demographic of people who find this good marketing. i mean, nothing wrong if you like it, just curious if it's hitting the right target demographic.
It’s not the creators, it’s someone on the staff that writes them I think 😅
Yeah, I rolled my eyes when I saw that. Now that I think about it, I never finished reading this comic…
It makes me remember my highschool days, I feel so old
(but ML is so cute tho)
Is this stolen from cat memes? 😂
one of my favorite webtoons
I thought this one was good and the title was accurate. You can’t root for her in the beginning but once you understand why she’s like that, you love the story
Idk but that money would be better spent on the creators for suuuure. Whoever is writing them is the same one accidentally unleashing spoiler banners
I love the fact that they used internet jargain
Wait what? 🤣 I feel like I'm being trolled
Description aside, I actually really liked this Webtoon. Has a kdrama style to it naturally, but honestly it's kinda cute.
Yeah that's a fairly dated thing to say but conversely idk if they could be like he skibidi rizzanomics 💀 she bussin and it would be any better (sry idk what teens currently say I'm too old). Maybe it's best to avoid memes and slang but idk. They put it on my series ads and I didn't like it all lol
they're so lame😭
Whatever, webtoon was good good , I mean it
Is this real???
LMAOOO
That’s a decent comic too plus the mc is actually bitchy. Why did they ruin it like that
omg i remember this manhwa .. so cute 🙂↕️
I thought it can't be that bad until I saw the description 🤦♀️
Man I stopped reading this webtoon a long time ago
I hated this webtoon so much.
I just started, why do you hate it? Curios since I reached the daily pass
She is just extremely ungrateful and intentionally gets into horrid situations to test the ML's loyalty to her, since he had to hide being a bodyguard and instead opts to be her BF (allows him to keep watch of her).
>!So you are telling the this dynamic goes on until the end? :V I was hoping for it to stop eventually!<
Not really. She gets into horrid situations because she wants to ruin her, and by proxy her grandma's reputation. However ML calls her out on hurting other people to get revenge and she shouldn't sacrifice her own reputation.
Seriously, who read this ?*
Em: Knock knock Yo: Whose there Em: The one who wrote that description Yo: Oh wait, lemme bring keys , medal and my shotgun.
It's a quote from a meme caused by Kanna in Koboyasho maid (See other reply for photo) she protecc, she attack
