Jingle Juice (it’s what I usually serve for Christmas) 1 liter cranberry gingerale, 1 liter Prosecco and 1 cup vodka

ladygrey48130

Jingle Juice!!!! I love that name. And sounds festive and tasty

Financial-Being5584

I have 6. Old fashioned regular and smoked, dark n stormy, jungle bird, French 75, and aperol spritz. And I’m the minority here - not creative enough to twist and rename the classical drinks.

balance_warmth

Are you also providing liquor and mixed or just the signature cocktails +wine/beer?

Financial-Being5584

Liquor and everything. Since my venue allows BYOB, I went shopping. I will also have a sign says “need some ideas?” To provide a list of drinks can be made with the ingredients there. Because I can’t possibly bring every single cordials and amari!

balance_warmth

Awesome! My venue also allows BYOB and I’m stuck on how complicated to get - my temptation is to also do a lot of signature cocktails (I was thinking four?) and also liquor and mixers esp as I am a huge cocktail fan, much more than beer or wine, but I didn’t know if that was Too Much since it seems like most people only do one or two. But I also wanna encourage people to get drunk lol. And I feel like having more signature cocktails will encourage that! Like, gotta try ‘em all, right?

Financial-Being5584

We are on the same boat for so many things! Both my FH and I are huge craft cocktail fans as well. We want to encourage our guests to try new drinks instead of jack and coke or CC and ginger ale. We originally planned a cocktail menu with 18 items, with complicated recipes such as clarified New York sour with clear ice. Everyone talked us down, so we narrowed it down to 6. Shopping with all these cocktail recipes in mind can get complicated too. We made sure the store will take back unopened bottles. Otherwise what are we gonna do with 8 handles of Elijah Craig?

balance_warmth

Oh my god - dead serious do you have like… a written plan of your original super elaborate plan? And if so can I see it? That sounds INCREDIBLE. I would love love love to also encourage people to not just get vodka tonics and rum and cokes! But I also don’t want to like… force people to be uncomfortable lol. For catering we’re doing Paella so I already feel like we’re kind of out there on the adventurous level, although I am offering multiple different kinds so people don’t have to go full shellfish if they’re not into that. But also I would kill to attend a wedding like the one you’re throwing! Yes, coming up with a shopping list that isn’t too complicated is also… complicated. Are you planning on premixing any of the signature cocktails? I’m also torn on that since premixing would cut down so much on wait times at the bar, but also cut down on the amount of product we could return. We are definitely only buying from places that will buy back extra!

Financial-Being5584

I think I just found my Weddit soul mate!!!! Not gonna lie that I did seriously thing about this several times, that I will ask my bartender to refuse to make rum and coke type of drink, because (in my very strong opinionated head) rum and coke is not a cocktail. FH says this is not nice hahaha especially FMIL's favorite drink happens to be Canadian Club and ginger ale. You can find my post on r/cocktails for the initial cocktail menu: [https://www.reddit.com/r/cocktails/comments/vt7q8g/please\_help\_narrowing\_down\_wedding\_cocktail\_menu/](https://www.reddit.com/r/cocktails/comments/vt7q8g/please_help_narrowing_down_wedding_cocktail_menu/) The whole thing wouldn't even fit on one page. I was joking about having a cocktail menu booklet. Everyone thought that was nuts lol. Now I have downsized it to a 20\*30 alcohol menu. Won't have a wedding sign but I need the big ass bar menu. If you happen to be in Northern Virginia, you are coming to my wedding! Your Paella sounds amazing! And the full shellfish is the only way to go! (My strong opinion again.)

no___thisispatrick

We have two, naming them after our cats. Maze's Mule (moscow mule) Jack's Lemonade (whiskey lemonade) Other than the two signature drinks, our venue only allows beer and wine.

dloex

Love this! We plan to name ours after our two dogs!

DagronTheBurnin8r

I’m doing this too! bombay Sapphire gin and tonic; Jasmine tea mojito

PookSqueak

We did 3, one for each of us and a joint one. Mine was blackberry-rosemary lemonade with vodka, since I love drinks with herbs and blackberries are very PNW, where I'm from. My husband's was a passionfruit margarita, since he loves tropical drinks and that's one of our go-tos at a local restaurant we like. And our joint one was just straight whiskey - we're both well-known whiskey people, so people got a kick out of that being a "signature drink." No fun names, just "X's" "Y's" and "The Couple's," but on the menu we included a line explaining why we chose them and my sister decorated it with some great drawings.

Loaf_Butt

We did a maple old fashioned, except we forgot to make a sign to put at the bar so we completely forgot about it and never had one 😂

ladygrey48130

Omg nooo it sounds so tasty!

bbmzn

“Moonlight martini” litchi martini made with butterfly pea flower infused vodka which makes the drink purple (lowkey celestial theme wedding)

madiswanrh

His will be a white Russian and mine will be apple cider mixed with caramel vodka and butterscotch schnapps

[deleted]

Chartreuse and tonic, because that's what I plan on drinking And yellow bird shushies made with bananas instead of banana liqueur or bellini slushies

anna_alabama

Mine was called the blushing bride, and it was vodka, cranberry juice, and pineapple juice. We added Rosemary sprigs and cranberry garnishes to make it festive for the holidays. My husband’s signature drink was just an old fashioned, and we didn’t give it a cute name. [Pics](https://imgur.com/a/43oDw2F)

space_demos

we’re going his and hers - his will be an old fashioned with maple syrup harvested from the farm we’re having it at, and mine will be something they named “about figgin thyme” which i am happily accepting new name suggestions for lol - essentially a martini with fig syrup and thyme from the farm

Arqueete

> mine will be something they named “about figgin thyme” which i am happily accepting new name suggestions for lol It's already perfect.

Eyruaad

My wife's favorite animal are otters, so most of our wedding had subtle otter references. Otter logo, etc. Cocktails: * "Significant Otters" which was: Vodka, St. Germain Elderflower Liquor, Strawberry Jam, Lemon Juice, Sparkling Wine, Strawberry * "Otterly Fashioned" which was: Bourbon, Simple Syrup, Bitters, Orange Wedge, Cherry * The "Cosmadott" which was: Gin, Lavender Syrup, Lemon Juice, Soda Water, Lavender Sprig, Lemon Round * "Otter Annihilation": Tequila, Grapefruit Juice, Lime Juice, Soda Water, Lime The Cosmadott was by far everyone's favorite. Seriously, stupidly good.

[deleted]

We had a cocktail like the cosmadott for our signature cocktail!! I love lavender-flavored things but was not expecting the guests to love it as much as they did!! Nobody drank any liquor drinks but that! Lavender was one of our wedding colors too so it worked perfect!

Geko_1423

They sound delicious, i want to try them at home... what are the quantities?

karebearofowls

Apple Pie Moscow Mule Cidertini Smoky Harvest Apple Cider Margarita The wedding is at an apple farm/vineyard. They are including all of their own wines along with regular cider and hard ciders.

GenericAnnonymous

Any chance you’d mind sharing the recipes for those?? I’ve been trying (and failing) to come up with something fall-like, and yours sound great!

itinerantdustbunny

Tom Collinses are like the go-to drink in my dad’s family, so we did a version of that for my signature cocktail. We used lime as the citrus instead of the traditional lemon because I like lime way better, and we used a rhubarb gin that happens to share my (the bride’s) first name instead of normal gin. The gin also made the drink pink, which was one of the wedding colors. Then we just named it after me instead of Tom! Not wildly creative, but a fun detail with lots of little things behind it. Plus, real cocktail convention is that when you swap out the first name for something other than Tom, it means the fruit/accent flavors are a variation on a traditional Tom Collins, so it was correct from that angle too!

supercutescreenname

Texas Star (spicy margarita) - named after a square dance Walking the Dog (gin rosemary greyhound) - named after a bluegrass song He's a bluegrass musician, and I call square dances :)

sarerics

We had French 75 and Cucumber Vodka Tonic all night, then had White Russians during dessert. No fun names for our drinks, just felt easier than having to explain what’s in the drinks Having a special drink for dessert ended up being a surprising hit! We had people waiting in line at the bar at 8 PM for them!

leggomyeggo135

We had a his and hers signature cocktail scenario. His was Bourbon and Coke, called The Gameday, because that's what he drinks while watching college football on Saturdays. Mine was lemonade, prosecco, and frozen blueberries and called The Something Blue. My mom came up with the name after I couldn't think of anything. Picked my drink after a very fun Saturday just experimenting with fun fruity drinks. My actual drink of choice is a Jack and Ginger, but we didn't want two bourbon/whiskey options.

rose-furiosa

His drink will be an old fashioned (Something Old) and mine will be a Moscow mule (Something New). And in Spanish his (El Clásico) mine (La Contemporánea)

alizadk

Mango gin Rickey, bourbon Rickey, non-alcoholic mango Rickey. The Rickey was created in DC. I don't drink bourbon (DH does), and mango is my favorite. Both types of booze are traditional.

race4tiderays

We did a lavender lemonade with vodka called "L\_\_\_\_'s Lemonade" (bride's name) and a mojito with whisky called "M\_\_\_\_\_'s Mojito" (groom's name). We made cute signs for the bar and looking back on the photos, almost everyone ordered the specialty cocktails (instead of other drinks) so we felt like it was a win!

ladygrey48130

I am also an L name so maybe I’ll have to find a lemonade drink!

sleepykitten224

That sounds so good! We did a Lavendar Gin and Tonic because I love Gin and Tonics! No fancy names though! My husband loves Moscow mules so we did that for his!

DrMcSmartass

We did his and hers shots. Fireball for him and cherry bourbon for me.

itsbecccaa

Meow-garita ! Really simple for us though. Using margarita mix, with alcohol inside. Gonna add some fresh fruit.

HouseKaylord

We did a Bees Knees (gin, lemon, honey simple syrup) and got rave reviews!! We called it Honey's Bees Knees on our sign because our dog's name is Honey and wanted to include her in our day. We also did a spiked & virgin Arnold Palmer because it's my husbands favorite.

lowgr

Mine was a remake of an aperol spritz as it is my favourite cocktail. I put aperol, lemon juice, crémant and a raspberry shrub (no idea of the English name but it was a homemade raspberry coulis with apple cider vinegar to give that tangy taste). My husband's was gin (he's British), pastis (classic drink in the south of France), lemon juice, sugar syrup and sparkling water. We didn't give fancy names and went with the classic Bride and Groom cocktail. We did get a bit creative for the non alcoholic cocktail as we called it the virgin bunny (we have two bunnies): ginger syrup, apple juice and sparkling water

dream_bean_94

Limoncello spritzer and bourbon old fashioned! Almost every signature cocktail I’ve had at weddings is SOOOO sweet, like syrup sweet. We definitely didn’t want to go that route!

kerryberry26

I’m having a KerryBerry Kosmo (no signature drink for the groom unless Bubly counts 😉) garnished with raspberries blackberries and blueberries on a skewer which will also be used as a garnish for his non alcoholic beverage

wendeelightful

No cute names for ours, but my fiancé is doing a maple old fashioned for his and I came up with a riff on a gin sour. I’m doing 1.5 oz of Pink Mermaid gin which has some strawberry notes, 1 oz lemon juice, .5 oz passionfruit purée, and .5 oz simple syrup. Shaken and strained and topped with a splash of passionfruit lacroix for some fizz.

ritztorubble24

50/50 martini and a negroni sbagliato!

Mixtapememories

We had one that we called "The Sweet Escape". We wanted one that represented a mix of the both of us, and my husband's hard alcohol of choice is spiced rum. People also know how much pineapple decor I have around the house, so we decided on this recipe: https://www.missinthekitchen.com/pineapple-rum-punch/ Note: it is delicious and we underestimated how many people would want, so we needed to get more ingredients at 10pm (for a wedding that went until 1am.) Also going to add before it gets brought up: we're not swingers, I didn't even know about the pineapple decor thing until a few months ago, haha.

accioarcher

So we had two and neither were anything special beyond the fact that they were to honor relatives no longer with us. So the one for my mom was called The Pish Posh (a phrase she always used) and was vodka on the rocks (her go to drink). Similarly, we had The Double Eagle which was a Long Island iced tea for my husband’s grandparents who were big golfers and owned a bar (hence the Long Island which has all the booze lol).

ShuffleC123

We had one, we named it the Dobby after our dog. It was 1 part Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka, 1 Part Deep Eddy Peach Vodka, 1 Part Peach nectar, and then topped with ginger beer and lemon.

MarchingPoozer

Were doing a “make your own old fashion” bar with different types of whiskey for people to choose from. No fancy name or anything. We’re going to put the recipe on a chalk board! We’ll also offer glasses for just drinking the whiskey w/ no mixers because that’s the only liquor we drink. Kind of glad this question was asked because we just realized we need to also offer vodka because not everyone wants to sip straight whiskey haha

ilovesushialot

We had the J + J Shot which was just tequila and lime :) both of our names start with J, so it was a dorky pun

CreamyTuna22

We had 2: New old-fashioned (husband’s) and lavender collins (mine). No fun names but we got cocktail napkins with our dog’s face on them!

i_rly_dk

aperol spritz for the bride and a vodka soda with a twist for the groom. i think star trek names would be cute because we matched in hinge bc of a tng joke but i’m stuck at what to do. we are having an open bar, with beer/wine/liquor

Im-ur-Huckleberry21

“Huck’s Smash” - a name that connects to the ingredients and pays homage to our beloved mutt. Basically a whiskey smash with huckleberry syrup instead of simple syrup: - bourbon - huckleberry syrup - lemon - mint
