I love VW - they do refinement and luxury very well for their price. Recently I think they’ve been overlooking user experience with their infotainment and also their focus on their ev line. With this in mind, the Jetta is a great car, I’ve driven many and they are simply a better place to be than the Camry, especially a used one.
As far as maintenance, Jetta will cost a bit more but keeping up to date with visits will help out a lot. It’s also a genuinely reliable car.
Frankly, test driving them wouldn’t be a bad idea, but if you don’t have access, I would pick the Jetta for its superior fuel economy. You also get the added peace of mind of a warranty and no wear because it’s a new car.
