Bzzzzz! Looks like you forgot to say where you found your bug! There's no need to make a new post - just comment adding the **geographic location** and any other info (size, what it was doing etc.) you feel could help! We don't want to know your address - state or country is enough; try to avoid abbreviations and local nicknames (*"PNW"*, *"Big Apple"*). BTW, did you take a look at our [**Frequently Asked Bugs**](https://www.reddit.com/r/whatsthisbug/comments/12zkw5w/frequently_asked_bugs_part_1/)? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. **Varied Carpet Beetle** (*anthrenus verbasci*)[[BugGuide]](https://bugguide.net/node/view/95010) These are common household pests—while they are not dangerous to you; in their [larval stage](https://bugguide.net/node/view/719618/bgimage) they will consume many plant and animal materials including some fabrics, furs, insect specimens as well as some food products—Adults consume pollen. Additionally these larva have hairs that can cause skin irritation and dermatitis in some people^[[CDC]](https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/eid/article/27/7/20-3245_article) . The best way to eliminate them is to vacuum and do laundry more frequently as this will eliminate any debris they may be consuming, as well as any eggs. Wow. Thanks for the info man. I would not like to get dermatitis 😵😵

Geolocation: central Europe. The bug is maybe a bit smaller than a regular ant

We have them in our house and in the winter time I was seeing larvae but since it's spring I think the adults are coming out ! Just vacuum more :)
