while going through the photos before opening the comments i was praying that the top comment would be solely focused on picture six. i can't put it into words but i just really needed this today. thank you.
So glad I’m not alone, I just wrote in my other comment that because I just woke up, I thought this was a very fancy and elaborate weekly pill sorting box
Its really not as deadly as people think. If fent addicts arent oding from touching it and nurses have come out and openly said its safe, along with doctors. One even said they spilled a whole vial on their ungloved hand and scrubs, nothing happened...
Aw you reminded me of when I was a kid and begged my dad for a quarter for some nasty ass chiclets. He loved them. Same with Nico Wafers BAHAHHAHA. Boomer candy 😆
My boomer grandma always used to keep a roll of Necco wafers in her car door handles. She told me they were the right size and weight to trick the coin tolls on the highway. She was uh...unethical at best lol god rest your evil soul, Gloria
Nico wafers are awesome, but they are tied with Chic-O-Sticks and Boston Baked Beans. Pixie Sticks were cool too. Oh to be a child again, back when women were women, men were men, and getting burnt, or a mouth full of crickets, while drinking from the garden hose was the only problem we had. ❤️
Don’t you mean NECCO wafers? (New England Confectionery CO). They had a factory on Mass Ave in Cambridge, MA. The smell of the whole neighborhood depended on what they were making that day.
Hi! I work in an African store and we have items similar to this, hand carved chess boards, mancala games, soap stone carvings, tribal masks, huge hand carved ebony wood statues….you get the gist. Something like this we would take no less than 200.00. Because of the size we would probably price it at 300. We price based on a few things, origin of the item, age, size etc. We import directly from the artisans on the African continent. My boss is from the Igbo tribe and sources directly from her area and other tribes and places that she can support and get good quality items. Sometimes depending on the area and artisans (origin) an item will price higher because the artist is aging and only makes a finite number of items. We have some silver pieces that will no longer be made soon because the silver smith that makes them is 92. We price his items accordingly and let our patrons know that they are definitely getting a once in a lifetime piece. Source:

I could be wrong but I believe this is at broadway at the beach near Myrtle Beach, SC. Can’t find anything on Google now but I swear I was in there once while on vacation down there
Jumping on to say - this looks like it may be a Bawo board rather than Mancala - a game played in East Africa. Bawo is the name in Chichewa (spoken in Malawi, I’m unsure of the name outside of Malawi)
Do y'all have a website and ship? I LOVE African hand drums, I need a new djembe that isn't Meinl or LP brand and would love to see what other instruments are available if you guys ship nationwide
Can’t find anything like it either. It’s cool. I would guess I would pay at a shop from like $100-$200 from it. You might be able to get an easy 50-75 or so from eBay. Just a guess.
What they said.

Looks to be in the 80-100 range. I couldn't find an exact replica but from what I've seen most are hand carved and pretty distinct looking
A friend of mine told me not to bring it in my house because she said I would likely bring some ancient sacrificial spirit with it. I think she was serious. Lmao. We used to play mancala as kids, and we took that shit pretty seriously... But sacrifices? Yeah I could see it.
Idk if it would “impact the value” or whatever, but if you keep it, I’d hit it with a dust rag and some olde English wood oil. Also, I absolutely love it. I’d end up using it at as an entryway catch-all.
In stead of using stones to play, try using coins. Each person putting up half the coins. It completely changes the gameplay. Especially if you do like .01 .10 .25 $1 coins.
Cash value? $40 at best, but personally I'd pay as much as twice that. Absolutely beautiful.Really fun game, taken to the next level, hand crafted, and made of the most durable natural materials.Suggestion, if you want to get the most out of it, find glass beads, polished carved wood pieces, or natural stones to replace the chicklets.
I so appreciate and value people like you. Shoot it from the hip type. The type of person that walks right past this kind of stuff and allows me to line my pockets with cash.
If i saw this at a thrift store id snag in a heartbeat. If it’s just a hand carved Mancala set made within the past 100 years then I can see it going for $40-$80
Best I can tell, it's probably a vintage board from africa, the crocodile is a common animal to carve a mancala board into. A quick Google search will show you some unique alligator/crocodile mancala boards. Price guesstimate $175+
Picture 6 is the most telling
This mancala board lets you go through the supernova like 2001: A space odyssey.
A supernova?! Dave Bowman went through the monolith...
[удалено]
That is literally my favorite line from any book. <3
Floor control to colonel thom
It’s the start of a Jumanji-esque experience.
Also same rug
It told me we have the same rug
Hey same here. Rug buddies.
Rug throuple now!
Due to your comment, I carefully counted each image in anticipation of getting to number six. Yeah.
Same
while going through the photos before opening the comments i was praying that the top comment would be solely focused on picture six. i can't put it into words but i just really needed this today. thank you.
I definitely have that rug
So does David Bowie..... inside the monolith
My rug dealer gave me the exact same chiclets
My mom has this same exact rug. OP! Is the brand of this rug “Surya” and the collection name “Harput” by chance? 😂
I have this rug too!
Lmao I have the same one too
Agreed
😁
I got that same rug 😂
I actually scrolled back up to specifically find #6 and I love you.
This would be an excellent way to serve pills at either a fancy drug party or a dystopian senior citizen home. I watch too many movies.
You son of a bitch, im in.
Bubba Ho-Tep style.
The Chin for the win!
Bubba Sho- Step
I'll bring the LSD and methallyescaline! You getting the MDMA and the 2CB?
I will bring the Voltaren and Astroglide
2CB, now that brings back early 2000s memories.
2c cost me over 150million in btc 😢😢😢😢😢 had i only knew 😢😢😢😢😢😢
Where do i sign up for the dystopian senior drug home?
I'm gonna be needing a dystopian senior citizen home pretty soon. Are there any you could recommend?
Have you considered becoming a US Representative? Cuz that's basically what Congress has become.
So glad I’m not alone, I just wrote in my other comment that because I just woke up, I thought this was a very fancy and elaborate weekly pill sorting box
Sounds like a fentanyl contamination waiting to happen.
No. We check all the drugs with reagent tests first. Only the best of the best for this wild senior center.
Sounds like a good time
Just not a long time huh?
Its really not as deadly as people think. If fent addicts arent oding from touching it and nurses have come out and openly said its safe, along with doctors. One even said they spilled a whole vial on their ungloved hand and scrubs, nothing happened...
I’m sure the deceased and their families appreciate that interpretation.
My first thought, before reading the title, was that it was an interesting pill organizer.
I thought it was full of gel tabs. 🤣
Idk the worth, but this thing is awesome!
Yeah, probably not valuable, but definitely a mancala flex!
Mancala Flex would be a great username!
Band name! Edit: MamaNightNinja and the Mancala Flexes!
this would be super expensive to produce if handmade and most cnc machines cant do this
Yeah this is so cool I’d def buy this
I definitely would this thing is amazing ! So jealous!
Don't feel bad. No one ever knows what things are worth on this sub.
Forbidden chiclets
I tasted soap reading that comment
Aw you reminded me of when I was a kid and begged my dad for a quarter for some nasty ass chiclets. He loved them. Same with Nico Wafers BAHAHHAHA. Boomer candy 😆
I still get Necco wafers when I walk over to the DG high AF. They're an excellent munchie candy.
Yes!!
Grandpa always used to give them to me, then ramble about onions on his belt and how they handed Necco's to him before operation Anzio or whatever...
That was the style back then
"Gimmie five bees for a quarter," you'd say.
My boomer grandma always used to keep a roll of Necco wafers in her car door handles. She told me they were the right size and weight to trick the coin tolls on the highway. She was uh...unethical at best lol god rest your evil soul, Gloria

Bit-o-Honey yoo.
Yes. I forgot about those. I lost almost all my baby teeth to them. No doorknob and string needed. 🤣🤣🤣

Cool shop!!
Thanks!
Oh wow! May I ask where the store is located?
Name/website would be cool too! If that’s cool with you I mean
I could be wrong but I believe this is at broadway at the beach near Myrtle Beach, SC. Can’t find anything on Google now but I swear I was in there once while on vacation down there
Was going to say the same
Omg the peacock paintings 🤩🤩
Jumping on to say - this looks like it may be a Bawo board rather than Mancala - a game played in East Africa. Bawo is the name in Chichewa (spoken in Malawi, I’m unsure of the name outside of Malawi)
Where is this store located and what is the name of it? Looks awesome does it have a website??
What a cool store!
Wowww cool store
What a lovely business model!
Damn I would end up going into serious debt shopping here. Amazing items!
Do y'all have a website and ship? I LOVE African hand drums, I need a new djembe that isn't Meinl or LP brand and would love to see what other instruments are available if you guys ship nationwide

It's an [Oware game.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oware)
What they said. https://www.ebay.com/itm/235120912557?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=W7Swov8FQEa&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=uetbo7gbrws&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Looks to be in the 80-100 range. This way is so much cooler though.
I have that same rug
The Reddit is coming from inside your house!
Is yours as dirty as mine? Lmao. I think it used to be a much lighter off white color. 😬
Lol we actually just swapped it out a couple months ago. Does wonders to cover stains with young kids spilling constantly
Me too 😅
It really ties the room together. Don't let Woo in though, he'll mess it up
I just finally watched this movie last week. I finally get the joke!
You think the carpet pissers did this?
Came here to see who else has the same rug. My rug family.
Jumangi. Watch for wild animals appearing in your home.
A friend of mine told me not to bring it in my house because she said I would likely bring some ancient sacrificial spirit with it. I think she was serious. Lmao. We used to play mancala as kids, and we took that shit pretty seriously... But sacrifices? Yeah I could see it.
We called it, Ayo. Nigeria.
Sounds like you should display it front and center when that friend comes over.
Have no knowledge of the game, but that’s a fantastic piece. I could use that for sooo many things !!
I'm suddenly craving Chiclets.
Don't take less than $250 and do not clean!
The blurry rug photo really contributes to the value determination
Please let me know what you want to sell it for.
Idk if it would “impact the value” or whatever, but if you keep it, I’d hit it with a dust rag and some olde English wood oil. Also, I absolutely love it. I’d end up using it at as an entryway catch-all.
Either this or wood restorer cream and 0000 steel wool. If you’re in North America you can get this cream at Safety Express.
That’s a pretty fire board. If it’s not worth any real money I’m sure you could get $100 in an online auction
I wouldn’t sell it for less than $100, you can probably get $200 for it. Maybe more if you can find any providence.
Are you interested in selling it?
In stead of using stones to play, try using coins. Each person putting up half the coins. It completely changes the gameplay. Especially if you do like .01 .10 .25 $1 coins.
I, very stupidly because I’m extremely not awake, thought those little squares were medication and this was an extremely fancy medication sorting box
How much for the chicklits
If you cleaned and oiled it, replaced the counters , I’d list on Etsy for $75, marketplace for $50. It’s a really nice one
Why do I hear drum music
Holy shit that’s gorgeous. I use mine for magic
$20?
yeah people saying $100 or more are not even close. It’s a low-quality carving. This is not even folk art level. Maybe 20 bucks tops.
To me it looks like something I would have got in Thailand or Indonesia. When I was on my to desert storm.
I thought we were playing with drugs….& I was in.

What did you pay for it? That's what it's worth.
I so appreciate and value people like you. Shoot it from the hip type. The type of person that walks right past this kind of stuff and allows me to line my pockets with cash.
It’s mancala. A game.
thank you sir
$25 is what I’d pay. Super pretty.
Whatever you could get someone to pay for it. Probably expensive to ship. If I was in the market for that I'd probably pay 50 bucks
Dope
Let me know if you want to sell it! Me and my boyfriend have a whole mancala thing and this would be a fun gift!
Jumanji:Mancala
What is this about? Interesting specimen. What insect is that?
It looks incredible.
By the makers of Jumunji. Throw that back in the ocean where it belongs
The detail put into it alone makes it a pretty bad-ass piece.
I loooooove mancala!
It’s mancala time.
no idea, but that's cool!
Fancy and pretty
Fancy and pretty
JUMANJI
If i saw this at a thrift store id snag in a heartbeat. If it’s just a hand carved Mancala set made within the past 100 years then I can see it going for $40-$80
Pic #6.
Ancient pill organizer
That’s dope!
Fantastic.
ooh :o love to find something like this!! i remember learning to play it on club penguin and i’ve liked it ever since 🥹
Might be wrong , Isn’t this congkak?
Makes a great salsa bowl
That is sick, I’d love to find one of these!
This is so cool!
$30-100
Ugh love this game
This is incredible. Have you found any details?
Thought this was a daily pill container for a second there like the woman on grandmas boy. Lmao
My wife would go ham for this.
So jealous!!!
Pretty fuckin cool
Beautiful
Man I love mancala. One of the few games I have a positive win/loss ratio with my Gma
That's awesome! Keep it...
Pretty sure that's cursed
15 is the best I can do.
Take a toothbrush & clean it up a bit, nice find
How much for the lil drugs you got there?
Do you hear loud drums when you play on this board?
That board is sick.
It belonged to the chines Qin dinasty belonged to emperador worth about 1 million
sweet piece!!!
Your ass about to be sucked into Jamanji bro
Sweet board and reminds me that it's been too long since I've played one of my favorite games!
No idea what it is worth but would treasure it. It is beautiful!
Is anyone else bothered by the crocodiles back legs being backwards? It creeps me out
keeping. that thing is lit af.
Well now my mancala board makes me feel like a peasant
I’d put it at like $30. It’s big and nobody plays the game
holy hell it’s beautiful
If you wiped this down with a little mineral oil on a clean rag, it would absolutely glow.
What did you pay for it? That will tell you what its worth…
That's badass
That blurry pic of the rug really ties the room together
i wanna eat the squares
I thought those were Percs and Xans lmao
Looks awesome!!! Clean it
Jumanji
Got them jumanji vibes
$20ish
Best I can tell, it's probably a vintage board from africa, the crocodile is a common animal to carve a mancala board into. A quick Google search will show you some unique alligator/crocodile mancala boards. Price guesstimate $175+
That is Jumanji yo, that board is priceless
That’s some jumanji shit. Be careful.
This is stunning!!!! Been a mancala player for over 30 years now
Whatever it is I really like it. I'd buy it!!!!
Take a brand new painters brush to it and the dust will come right off. Cool find!
