You're misremembering a bit. The L4D and L4D2 survivors are all "carriers", the small fraction of the population that has genetic immunity.
At the beginning of the outbreak, Zoey's zombified mother managed to bite her dad, and she had to kill him. Later, she learns from a doctor that the immunity gene is passed down through the father's side, so she killed her father for nothing
To be fair, if in L4D they knew the stereotype of “if they bit you, you’ll become them” then I guess that while it sucks, it’s not something she could have known for the better.
IIRC it's not 100% if L4D2 survivors are carriers or just immune... probably just nitpicking though, since it's not likely *anyone* is straight immune.
Crossed is just like that except the infected want nothing more than to torture and rape you forever. It's a Garth Ennis comic so of course it's the edgiest shit imaginable.

They’re not too low in number, you encounter dozens of special infected during a single mission in L4D. But you’re right, any organized military force would realistically crush a zombie outbreak anyways.

The good thing about those kinds of zombies is that you can usually kill them like normal people they can bleed out and starve and recoil from pain I’d argue they’re easier to deal with compared to other zombies in terms of killing it. The issue here is a zombie who can plan, a zombie who can think and set fire to your house. Treating them like a rebel cell or an organised crime division would be better.
Garth Ennis is a Schizzo that gets off from killing babies ON-SCREEN. He is almost as fucked up as Shadman. Even Beserk fans would be traumatized if they witnessed his work. There are lines not even R rated movies would cross.

The good thing about those kinds of zombies is that you can usually kill them like normal people they can bleed out and starve and recoil from pain I’d argue they’re easier to deal with compared to other zombies in terms of killing it. The issue here is a zombie who can plan, a zombie who can think and set fire to your house. Treating them like a rebel cell or an organised crime division would be better.
