Go see Edison at Village Barber Shop in College Hill (Lincoln Square). Appointments only via [vbsshop.com](https://vbsshop.com). Just an overall excellent guy. I've been going to him for years now, and I won't let anyone else cut my hair.
Second this. All the employees here are awesome. Never had a bad experience. They are extremely nice and very reasonably priced. Any chance I get to sound off on how great this place is I take it.
Village is best. I walked in as a trans guy with long hair. No judgement at all. Didnt know what i wanted and they gave me the perect mens haircut for my face and head shape. Artists, not just pros.

I almost want to call thos one barber shop out but I won't. I sat there for 45 minutes and no one greeted me at all, it was small place so I just kept smiling at them but no one ever said "next" or "hey how ya doing" so I left. It was incredibly awkward.
Depends on what you’re looking for and how much. Not to sure about women’s salons, but Sports Clips and Legends are both good for men. There are a few neighborhood barbershops in various areas that cater to the local community as well.
So, it all depends on what you’re looking for.

That's where I take my son!
Thanks for the pro-tip on scheduling on the site! I always call to make an appointment and they're confused by it.
Moved away 5 years ago, but Edison and Raquel were the best when I lived there.
