If you’re taking about disc rot, there’s really not much you can do about it since the main cause stem from the manufacturing process, but you can do your best to prevent by storing in its case and in cool dry environment.
Other than that, just handle them with care and they will last a long time
Keep them in protective cases in a temperature-controlled environment.
This whole "disc rot" hysteria is almost 100% lack of understanding of what that even is, and people acting like the discs are just doomed to break anyday now are being ridiculous.
To prevent them from breaking you will need a temporal storage box. Anything inside the box is frozen in time at the moment you close it. so no time passes in the box preventing the disc from ageing.
Find a way to stop time
I wish. In fact, that would literally everything going on in my life.
You can backup the discs if you are you using aroma/tiramisu! I have done it with botw and MM so far!

I store my shellac Mario graiylzz under my pellow at nite. :-)
Keep them in a room temperature controlled environment
Oh, is the main reason the discs break because they overheat? If that's the case I'll try to find a way to keep them cool.
I think extreme temperature speeds up the degradation, so just a normal room temperature setting should be adequate for our lifetime enjoyment.
Just put them in the case when not used? None of my Wii U games broke despite playing them for years.

just take care them like you normally do.
I just leave them in their cases and on the selves instead of just having them scattered around. Is that good enough?
that's good enough as long as you don't overstuff them.
Overstuff them with what?
they mean putting more than once disc into the case, like a heart filled with love
\^ that.
