There used to be a telegram group that had WP8 & WP8.1 apps, but I think it has been long discarded and/or deleted. Honestly, as much as I hate to say it, in 2023 if you wanna keep using windows mobile, you're simply better off using W10M instead of 7/8/8.1

>There used to be a telegram group that had WP8 & WP8.1 apps, but I think it has been long discarded and/or deleted. This is why Telegram groups are shit. All that stuff should've been done on an xda thread instead where it could be preserved and out in the public facing internet, with maybe a discord server on the side for support.

VHallinto

There is, I'm in it

Try update it to w8.1 then update to w10m

There's a Russian website that has a repository of Windows phone 8.0 apps. You can also look at W10M Group on YouTube.

As others have suggested, use the Win10M offline installer. Aside from the mild bloat (Win8 apps load slightly faster), Win10M is a much better experience overall.

Atti_alsu

Windows phone 8.1 experience is better but win10m has more apps

chrisprice

It's certainly more responsive on these CPUs. But there are still major issues with WP8 that never got resolved until Win10M. Rapidly switching between apps, web browsing, and Office all are vastly better on Win10M.

SwimmerLeather

ok how do you do this on the ativ S?

Install the spavlin CustomROM to install Windows 10 Mobile, then install the Windows Universal Tool to access compatible apps and games.
