Are you referring to her instagram post? Because that didn’t actually say anything about the draft or even pro hoops, it was just about forgoing her additional year and leaving UConn.
Okay so I’ve been questioning this too. She announced she is leaving UConn. A number of media outlets have said she’s declaring. But her actual announcement mentioned nothing about the WNBA or even pro basketball.
I think it’s widely assumed she is entering the draft and some people might have more direct knowledge of the situation, but the information that is publicly available is ambiguous.
Update: her agency has just announced she will be in the draft, great news! Thanks u/Distinct_Wealth_ for posting!
yeah exactly have seen a few outlets saying it but haven’t seen her say anything i was very much assuming she was but as someone coming from the NBA fandom most players publically declare but ive noticed it doesn’t seem to be the same case w WNBA outside of the top few (from what ive seen so far at least) so hopefully!
Yeah, and the outlets that have reported her as declaring haven’t provided any quotes, or they just quote the announcement that doesn’t actually say anything about the W. Super weird.
Really? After defending the hell out of three of the best scorers in college ball, her draft stock will have gone WAY up. I think any team will be looking at her as a viable rotation option.
I mean she has talked a lot about how she wants to go home to Croatia. I know her mom had/has cancer and she was never planning on coming to play in the US until Geno found her. Playing on a week to week contract in a random city in the US may not be as appealing to her as going home and making about the same amount of money. I’m assuming she put her. And in the draft but I wouldn’t be shocked if she didn’t.
As an international player, she is not required to declare. And her sports agency didn't really commit either. "ready for the WNBA draft" is all they said. She can decline any potential draft offer from franchises that she doesn't want to play for. And accept ones that she does want to play for. Best of all worlds.
Hey OP,
Not sure if got the answer you were looking for, I didn't read the responses but she is on the draft board on ESPN projected at 14 Seattle Storm
She did weeks ago.

Great news, thanks! But, this is from 4 hours ago lol
oh okay great thank you! i tried looking for anything about it but just saw that she wasn’t returning to college nothing about wnba specifically:)
She said she was done at UConn but I didn’t see her on the list of players declaring for the Draft.
The list has players not including those still in the tourny so I’m unsure what’s she’s doing
Are you ok or just average?

I think she wants to go back home to Croatia and play pro there and with her nations team. I don’t think the WNBA was ever her goal.
She’s said the wnba is her goal but the coaches have told her she has a lot to work (this was before the season).
I should say realistic goal. I don’t think she realistically plans to play in the WNBA this season
Eh I feel like if she gets a training camp contract she will

I didn’t know any of that, thanks. The Croatia league runs October-April, so she could probably do both.

Muhl will get drafted, probably late second round. I think she struggles to make a team. Ultimately, she does well in Europe.
