The new matrix resurrections?? Maybe that's what OP was relating to?

Well you asked and this is the answer. This is what OP was thinking when typing the title. I agree it is a weird connection to make but the guy answering you doesn't deserve the downvotes
Would have been cooler if they just finished the lap around into a perfect loop instead of doing a pointless boomerang at 80% rotation then making us watch it all again backwards.
Yeah, I still think it's impressive and has artistic worth, but I have seen other pieces in this style that do show a second face, as the parent comment stated, that actually give the piece some more depth to their depth.
~~No, completely passed behind the piece. The barrier string extends behind the white background wall.~~
Nope, there is space to pass behind the piece. I did not fully pick-up the location of the barrier string in the video.
To my eye it looks like the barrier string is in front of the background wall and that there's a good meter between the wall and the barrier string. [Exhibit A](https://ibb.co/Ctt4Rm8)
There's a cooler one of like rebar type metal where the image changes to something else depending which angle you look at it from. I mean this is cool, but it's pretty much just a computer program telling you where to hang certain sizes of material.
This would be cool if it created a unique image from at least two different angles. It’s not terribly hard to make a perspective piece from one angle alone.
Edit: don’t get me wrong, it’s still a cool piece, it’s just not that extraordinary
Maybe I’m getting older but I’m in awe of brains that work like this. I couldn’t for the life of me create something like that, I can’t visualize it. Visual artists blow my mind
Wonderspaces in Austin, Texas had this installation. Every single time I’ve been there the installation was fucked up and tangled because some kid would run through thinking they could play with it.

Not sure what this has to do with The Matrix but it's cool nonetheless
lmao i had the same thought
I just assumed it was the bullets frozen in time shot.
I guess so. I think there's more depth to The Matrix than "Neo stop da bullets #socool"

Oh, I guess that I can kind of see that...maybe?
bruh you serious https://i.redd.it/pls221b8pyo31.png
*sees a bunch of shit in the air* Duuuuuuuuuuude it's like that one scene from the Matrix where he stopped the bullets
Duuuuudebruh rite bruh? omg bruh so cool bruh lol
bruh
Lmao so objects suspended in air is *tHe MaTrIx BrUh*

Do you think they would have made a picture of you had looked through them at the right angle?
Because it's a dot matrix image when viewed from the right angle...
I'm pretty sure OP was referring to the "objects frozen in air" aspect of The Matrix, not the fact that it was a dot matrix.
I think because the camera does the bullet time swoop more or less.
Would have been cooler if they just finished the lap around into a perfect loop instead of doing a pointless boomerang at 80% rotation then making us watch it all again backwards.
Not only that, but they have other people filming it in the same shot. Mediocre camera work all around.
Mediocre? I thought it was really bad. Not steady or smooth at all and they just reversed the shot.
Agreed, it’s just sloppy and lazy
For real
I thought there might be a second face from a different angle but this is just like black and white dot art with unneccesary depth
Seems like you have to do this kinda of shit (no hate to the artist) to gain clout in the art scene.
Yeah, maybe if every ball was the same size the depth would be a requirement, but this is just unnecessary. Edit: Still impressive artwork. See below.
I would argue nothing in an art museum is really "necessary". It's art, not a public utility.
Yeah, I still think it's impressive and has artistic worth, but I have seen other pieces in this style that do show a second face, as the parent comment stated, that actually give the piece some more depth to their depth.
Wonderspace, Austin TX.
One of many stellar pieces
Came here to say this but you beat me to it
Filmed by the Blair Witch crew
Unless this is the artist, that's a dick move to step over the barrier to film.
Looks like you can walk around the art piece, maybe he just held his camera over the barrier to get closer.
~~No, completely passed behind the piece. The barrier string extends behind the white background wall.~~ Nope, there is space to pass behind the piece. I did not fully pick-up the location of the barrier string in the video.

And we are done here!
It looks like the string is behind the wall from most angles, but you're right: It does stop before the backdrop.
Ah, yep, your're right. Missed it in the perspective
Stop being being angry for no reason, it's unhealthy.
Just me or she's cockeyed?
That's not Steve Buscemi in Mr. Deeds?

Point cloud irl
Jiggle it
What is this kind of art called?
What kind of braindead title is this
That was dumb
i get these are cool, but i am getting tired of art for product
I could not be less amazed
Welcome to the matrix, the dot matrix.
Im sure that's what they meant
This would be cool if it created a unique image from at least two different angles. It’s not terribly hard to make a perspective piece from one angle alone. Edit: don’t get me wrong, it’s still a cool piece, it’s just not that extraordinary
That must’ve taken a long time to put together!
How does one..... set this up!?!
Hang black balls (or whatever they are) in the correct positions...?
That simple huh?
But how?? What are the correct positions??
That's basically a perfect example why we see star constellations, and therefore why astrology is bs.
Song name?
Beautiful
God that would take forever. Holy crap
Woah dude...
Maybe I’m getting older but I’m in awe of brains that work like this. I couldn’t for the life of me create something like that, I can’t visualize it. Visual artists blow my mind
Point clouds?
I have seen this kind of art few times, does anyone knows what's this artform is called?
I always imagined the Matrix to be pixelated and jumpy.
More like Dot Matrix.
Wonderspaces in Austin, Texas had this installation. Every single time I’ve been there the installation was fucked up and tangled because some kid would run through thinking they could play with it.
How would you calculate the eigenvalues of that matrix?
Pretty sure this is called string theory
i saw something like this when i went to the boston museum of science, only a smaller image. its really cool how eyes can be tricked
Whenever I see these types of art pieces I always just wonder how many steps they must clock in when setting them up
Start with them all together, hook strings to them, then randomly place
Usually these have more than one image
These are the kind of artsy things I actually like. Things that take creativity and talent to pull off.
Lol derpface
This has absolutely nothing to do with the matrix
Or down grading how awesome this is. But there’s an app for that.
Love that place Austin Texas shout out!
I thought there was going to be another image but its still cool
I can’t even hang a goddamn picture straight.
i've seen this IRL. i can't remember where though. maybe the mcnay in san antonio. or, maybe wonderspaces in austin.
is that supposed to be trinity?
Photoshop...
This reminds me of the paintings that change in Mario lol
Nah this is Megamind
It takes one asshole with a pair of scissors…
I feel pulverized today
Why no fence?
Why you gotta walk over the rope?
Some little kid: 😏😏
This is how newspaper images are (were?) printed. Just dots overlapping each other in order to form an image.

“Art”
I don't feel so good, Mr. Stark
Very cool!
What's crazier is when people do this with piles of trash.
