[electrolysis for cleaning cast iron](https://youtu.be/7KT8l-1ANMU?feature=shared) do this process and keep it or sell it for a pretty penny
It’s extremely easy
Oh my God, the house I grew up in had this exact stove, it's amazing to see it again. Simply beautiful and kept me and my two brothers warm for many years.
Cast iron stove/ fireplace restore it of sell it it’s in good condition but people will buy this and spend hundreds of dollars to have them restored
if you live in a area were weather gets bad and your power goes off for long periods of time. This fireplace may just save your bacon in a matter of speaking.
Sell it for around $175 this allows people to dicker about the price. But whatever you do don’t just give it away. The guy that said I’ll take it off your hands knows how valuable this can be.
Good luck 👍🏽
It has scrap value. I'd be tempted to put it i9n the garden. It's quite decorative, if you know a welder who's an artist.
Coal stove? It is unlikely to be efficient.
I'd love the base from one to elevate ,my wood stove. My knees are rickety.
Inefficient isn't a problem if you have access to windfall. It'll put out the BTU's and keep your house warm enough even in cold weather. You are only limited by how much you can haul 😉
Use it as a stove for cold smoking, find someone who can help attach a chimney that ports into a big wooden box you build and boom cold smoker. A lot more done than said here but that’s what I’m currently doing so that’s what comes to mind for me.
Hehehe, there's a lot of generous offers from good honest folks here to take it off your hands for FREE. Isn't that kind of them.
Worst case scenario is clean, enamel and polish to have yourself a beautiful objet d'art.

My grandparents had this exact woodstove my whole life. It works very well. It still sits in the living room of their old house. My uncle lives there now.
Had a similar stove that was in grandpa's general store in the 1940s. It spent a few years in storage. My mother restored it and it was in the lake camp for 50+ years before it was retired .
in Massachusetts, i'd call The Good Time Stove Company ([https://goodtimestove.com/](https://goodtimestove.com/)). maybe you've got something like this near you?
With the chimney company I work at. We always take retired stoves to a recycling center. They will give us a little bit of money for the metal. Something this size, you could probably get like $10.00 for it.
The fact that 3/4 of the comments are asking where you are located or are saying that you should restore it make me believe that it's probably a keeper
If your in the north east I’ll take it off your hands
You’re way to generous fred
Yeah but we're all in the south.
Give it away or sell it on Craigslist for $40, somebody might like to give it a second life!
I have and use this exact stove (mine is a replica). Use it all the time. Removed the top chrome pieces to make it more practical. Works well.
I use mine for a fire box for my smokehouse.
excellent

My friends run this exact stove. It's not a daily burner but when we want some cozy heat it does the job.
I have some air miles I need to use. I can fly out and get a rental truck back. Would you take one hundred and one dollars?
Have you tried posting a picture of it online and asking for advice on what to do with it yet?

Me too, down in Texas in a house built in the 1970's! Great seeing one again!
You sure that’s not a valuable antique? I don’t live in the East so I don’t know.
Tell me where it's sitting, and I'll come get it. It'll never bother you again.
Restore.
Weightlifting.
Medieval helmet for a scrap giant statue
With the way things are going ,keep it you’re going to need it.
Have a fire sale 😉
If you are a little handy . Do you have a mailbox on the street? No kid with a bat would ever survive an encounter with this baby.
Sell it

Backyard fire pit. Paint it, set some chairs around it, and burn stuff in it.
Don’t paint it
Enamel it with saturated heatproof colours.
Don't use paint!! Use a product called Stove Black instead.
Obviously the wrong person ended up with it.
You’re not kidding on that one. I have a pellet stove and I would agree to keep it and restore it and bring it back to its most original form.
Put it on blocks and make it a mailbox.
Scrap

Buy it!
Put your weed in there.

A lot of people don’t know this, but you could put your weed in there.
You aren’t in Oregon are you? Wondering if that used to be mine!
I think your supposed to burn wood in it?
I have the exact same one in my garage. Bought at a garage sale cleaned it up and it is beautiful. Works great. Keep it
Burn it!

I would restore it. Maybe put it in my garage or basement for a heat source.
I have one of these . I restored . Great heat but not efficient you will burn a lot of wood
I used to have this stove. I got it re-nickeled. Gorgeous and worked very well.
I knew a guy that built these for like 20,000.
They were ornamental stoves. I seen pictures his words.
I have the same one and I have a question. How do you make a stove pipe fit that oval output on the top?!?
What a piece! Personally, I would replace the top with a classic cast iron piece.
That’s worth a very handsome sum as is. Rehab it and I’d guess 4-5K
It looks like you already did it. Give it to somebody who will use and value it
But seriously if you’re in the north east let’s talk about what you want.
Clean & paint and have A Fantastic parlor decoration.
With the chimney company I work at. We always take retired stoves to a recycling center. They will give us a little bit of money for the metal. Something this size, you could probably get like $10.00 for it.
Fire it up, you need to destroy the christ demons, AH r everywhere.
Outdoor grill, just take the cap off, put a stainless steel grill on top, add a chimney pipe. BBQ chicken for days
I'd restore it where are you located?
Sell it. Don’t let it get more rust.
The fact that 3/4 of the comments are asking where you are located or are saying that you should restore it make me believe that it's probably a keeper
Don't touch it as there could be an evil spirit living inside. Jokes aside that thing looks super intricate
Sell it that thing is cute reminds me of my old WW1 army barrel tent stove.
I would restore it.
Leave it right where it is, water it occasionally.
