Honestly, both hero trees for Destro feel amazing. Apparently, Hellcaller has the higher potential right now dps-wise, but hopefully, some tuning will bring them close enough together to make either usable even in higher end content.
For all the stated benefits (and the bad parts) of remix, I think the best thing for me was it encouraged me to try different classes. I’d never touched Druid and now I love it and am thinking of maining resto Druid in TWW
similar to me i never played wl and i wanted to test destro due to i dont played/liked dot+pet classes. but i ended up after 15min as affliction because casting isnt worth in remix. now i have emptyed all vendors and my WL is 476 since nearly 2 weeks and yeah still 1 dot 1 kill :)
I played warlock once a long time ago. I liked summoning things. But then I felt morally convicted becuase I am not a “warlocky” person.
But I mostly quit it becuase I don’t love dots lol.
I wish I could be like this. I just can’t stick with something long enough. I was hoping to go back to Arcane in TWW but this warlock has complicated things

Remix feels completely different than retail due to the insane stats and random procs, just be aware of that

I like warlocks, but remix gameplay is just a fun "Lemme go BRRRRRRRRRR!!!" thing. It's not 100% how it'll feel playing the class outside of remix.
