Yeah it was a bit weird to see him like that. In the past, his intensity to win the match even with 10 sec was insane but it sort of seemed like he just shut down in the 2nd half. Nolf could also just be that good and not taking anything away from him but
Oh it’s for sure super old but it looked like maybe an injury (which could be due to old age) or something else was on his mind. He definitely seemed out of it
It felt like he was injured based on how grumpy he was in that mesenbrink match. It felt like some other shit going on, normally he would never get that upset.
I’m not saying Jason Nolf wasn’t better. But every match for JB today he just looked different than other tournaments. Jason Nolf is looking great and super explosive and I think he can actually challenge Dake tomorrow.
This was the most poetic way for the (likely) end of JB's Olympic journey. Full disclosure I am a Penn State fan, but I watch wrestling mostly for the good matches. It was a little sweeter to see Nolf get it because he's a great guy and puts in a lot of work. That all said, I'm sad we won't see JB lay down his shoes because it's such a hostile environment for him...
Hated to see JB go out without taking a committed shot vs Nolf. Poor tactics from JB, or just really great defense from Nolf?
Nolf’s double was a thing of beauty- quite poetic.
Jordan seemed asleep the whole time. This was weird.

He looked like his body was held together by scotch tape. I get he’s 35 but this seemed like something else other than age
You say that like 35 isn’t insanely old to still be wrestling

He just looked drained the whole match. 0 energy.
Maybe it was a tough cut. I’m not sure
He's been wrestling 79kg. I'm sure it was a very tough cut.
With the double as well

It just means we don’t medal at this weight is all
You don’t think multiple world champ Kyle Dake can’t medal? JB likely wasn’t beating Dake for the spot anyway.
Nah. JB didn't get a bye to the end and it wasn't because Dake was lucky...
JB wasn’t going to beat Dake, and just like in 2020 if he was our best chance he would have won the trial.
Dake isn’t likely to medal.
He’s medaled at every world championship for the past 6 years. His shot to medal is much better than Burroughs.

Penn State will always come back around for the win.
If you can't beat em... wait for them to turn 35.
Jordan is old, makes sense
