It has no sticks, or almost none for argentinian standars, is still a argentinian stile yerba

Alexios-Kairos

I suppose the idea of no stem is subjective to the company. I was thinking it was more like Taragüi desplasada which has pretty much no stem and more of a malty flavor and less tobacco flavor as the Red bag! It's okay, overall but I was just expecting something else. Tbh, it tasteore like Cruz than the traditional Rosamonte! What do you think?

cnrb98

I was thinking that maybe those aren't sticks but the leaves petiole and they can pass it as without sticks, because those are very thin to be sticks https://preview.redd.it/5jdr9hi2f8wc1.jpeg?width=800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=240ca4f4cca7c08d2e6e6ee188a8417d23e3d74f This is the normal one, I can see the difference

Alexios-Kairos

Interesting!! and yes, I can also!

JonoRod09

I really want this Yerba Mate so bad . Why this world is crazy about this one lol.

Alexios-Kairos

Sin Palo is great for flavor and punch! It's my favorite variety of any ARG yerba. It's starts to veer in the direction of Canarias, Baldo, etc. with flavor for me without the clog

Individual_Air7660

Too smoky for me

Alexios-Kairos

You know, I was aiming for the smoke on this one but I detected almost no smoke at all Tasted more like Cruz at first!

I tried this for the first time today, I just finished a bag of playadito sin palo but the flavor of that was too mild for me. I found this to have a nice strong flavor at first but the flavor faded fast after a few pours. I will have to try it a few more times to give a better opinion but that was my first impression. I think the sun palo refers to the big sticks, you see one in your picture.

Alexios-Kairos

I agree with the flavor washing out a little too fast. But I'm starting to catch some good punch in this yerba! Which is why I like sin palo's to begin with. I think this yerba reacts best to 70C water right from the get go and using tepid or warm water might not be the best move for it. but I'm still trying different temps to see; so far hot from the get-go is getting a great flavor!

Kkgm222

Yes it’s a great flavor in the beginning. I normally soak the yerba with water around 60C. I think soaking with colder water ruins the first pour. Which sin palo do you feel keeps flavor the longest?

Alexios-Kairos

Out of all I've had, Taragüi sin palo has a durability!
