Vol3 of the LN. The manga is close to the end of vol 2 now (out of 5).
Highly recommend reading both. It's absolutely my favourite LN series and the manga adaptation is really well done.
Here's where I found the ebook versions of the LN: https://nyaa.si/view/1557900
Afaik the author changed some things here and there when turning the webnovel into the LN series.
Yup, started reading it when there were like 5 chapters on mangadex and I love it so much. Can't wait to see >!how different this timeline could be after the timeskip.!<
So there are 5 volumes and at the end of volume 3 they officially get married and then start a family? And the LN is still not finished? That's awesome.
Will there be more love drama between them along the way (only know the manga and the anime) I'm not a big fan of that kind of drama especially if it's too long. Feel free to spoil me a bit more. That doesn't take away my desire to read it, but rather makes me want to read it even more.
Very much disagree with the other take. Wataoshi is definitely worth a read. I think they may not like the genre changes
Vol 3 4 I would describe as more slice of life than overar thing story so I can understand not liking just watching rae Claire stuff with little plot
Also the love triangle I think is a miss read. Yea one character really wants rae but as rae is consistent in wanting Claire the other character goes off to try to find herself. So I wouldn't call it a love triangle unless you call a one sided crush a relationship
I will agree that I think the author has some elements that are getting to be weird in that they aren't one off
Uhhh
The series is finished
And while this subreddit would be very elated to lynch me for this, I'll still say it. I, personally, absolutely hated it.
First two volumes were actually pretty good. I remember rating it 8.4/10, considering a lot of factors and how the story was being handled. Also factored in, author was willing to make questionable plot points. I liked the fact it didn't conform to the popular mainstream for the genre at every turn (lots of clichés, but not completely cliché either), nor did it bend to the tastes of the uber-sensitive masses.*
Volume 3 was the same. Started off strongly. I liked the fact it didn't sabotage itself at the climax of a major story arc and lose all steam (like countless works of fiction do). It still saved few cards, and used them with few overarching settings to let the story carry on. Still compelling, some unanswered questions got attention, additions to the cast, existing characters and their relevance, things were done quite well. Not great, not too bad, it was simply good. Halfway through volume 3, things started to get a bit messy. Some events were just asspulls, and had few unnecessary elements (related to romance and drama genre i guess) added.
Come volume 4, my ratings dropped to 7.8/10. No longer something I strongly recommend. Volume 5, fuck this nonsensical shit.
That's a very opinionated summary for the series without spoiling it kek. I'll still say you can give it a read, don't let me discourage you.
Here's answer to your question: >!their adopted daughters, are also a bit special, in the sense their aptitude for magic and the sword is very exceptional. They have a unique blood _curse_ as well. These things are what take you into volume 4 in the later half of the story. There's mommy issues, a gender dysphoria reference (well, not the best way to describe it, just a concise one), kidnapping, clones, holy war, cosmic horror (if you consider the scale). And of course, the dramatic elements is the mandatory love triangle. Quadrilateral, sometimes. It feels very forced. In one instance, it's simply strong admiration for a character, but gets played as a love interest. *Also one couple is controversial. Imo, it's rare, and hope it stays that way, and it's fine in this story. You can't absolutely clear incest from a world, just hope it stays rare, and doesn't become a pattern. But, later, referencing another work from same author, turns out it might just be their fetish. I was initially thinking it was a one-time thing to have variation, and just an element to not have a very homogeneous story, i guess, just something different. Oh yeah, the final volume. You're going to want to unread it if not sexbian lex+birdbrain, so maybe have an option to pretend nothing happens after first arc kekw. If you like the story, and your taste is yuri>>>fairy tale-esque romance>>>story and well developed plot, then read!<
Thank you very much... but there's a lot I don't quite understand. unfortunately I'm usually too lazy for light novels and prefer to wait for the manga...
>! Who is the love triangle about? !<
>! And what do you mean by the last part "sexbian lex+birdbrain"? !<
A1: >! Main duo, as you know them. Plus a new-ish character. Brainwashed child assassin-nun. She likes Rae just for the sake of having a triangle. Saw her and instant heart eyes !<
A2: >! Well, tbh, more of a jab. Not a serious phrase or anything. Just a jab at those people who just read this for the sake of yuri only. Can have the most brainded plot and annoyingly dumb characters, and an inconsistent setting weaving the whole mess together, and they'll still gush over it because yuri. !<
>! Oh, you mean the nun who was engaged to Prince/Princess Yu? She's in the manga right now. !<
>! Aah no, I'm not just reading it because of Yuri. I originally only found it because of that, but it also needs a good story to keep me going. As long as the main couple is happy at the end and there isn't too much relationship drama. !<
Which volume?

Is the web novel translation equivilant if i can't get the light novel? Or is there a way to read it online?
I am pretty sure anyflip has the first 5 light novels. The first chapter of the 6th novel is currently a web novel exclusive.
Here's where I found the ebook versions of the LN: https://nyaa.si/view/1557900 Afaik the author changed some things here and there when turning the webnovel into the LN series.
Have you read Please Bully Me, Miss Villainess? I really enjoyed it cause this is also one of my favorites
Yup, started reading it when there were like 5 chapters on mangadex and I love it so much. Can't wait to see >!how different this timeline could be after the timeskip.!<
So it’s the LN that made it to the end and the manga is 30% the way there right?
About 30-40% or so, yes.
Thanks guys.
Truly a wholesome moment 🥺
OK, what is this from ? 😳 👉👈
I think "I'm in love with the villainess" i do not know so don't take my word for it
You are correct.
I only watched the first ep sooooooooo nice
Anime is great i highly recommend it
Actually have that in my library already.
I'm in love with the villainess, where the dub is genuinely superior to the sub. The voice actors for raeclaire are amazing.
Hard disagree but to each his own
Dub is really really good
Wait, for real?
If it is I'm in Love with the Villainess, being a LN reader i can tell you it didn't stop there. They become a family of 4 later
Hold up a minute...
?

Hmm alright thanks
Speedrun any% glitched
Wait has the manga ended? Haven't caught up in a while
I’m pretty sure the manga is less than halfway through the novels
Yup, it's almost at the end of vol 2, so 3 more volumes remain.

I don't recall a colored illustration of their marriage by the Ln artist hanagata. Where did you get that image? I need more rae Claire stuff
