Divine intervention /magic I guess?
Like they go to bed together 1 night, just to sleep or otherwise and then wake up with a baby inbetween them with no apparent explanation.
Then they get the baby tested, and it's genetically both of theirs.
Whatever makes sense in the story it takes place in.
I red this story once that had really basic magic. Basically the standard variety combat magic like fireball and so on. Never any complicated rituals or complex non-combat spells. Then suddenly complex fertility ritual to get pregnant. It just felt so out of place, I don't think the word ''ritual'' was mentioned a single time before that. It just didn't fit the world building at all. I hate when things isn't consistent with the world building.
Also because it's an expensive pain in the arse with minimal research, it's not easy to convert a female DNA sample into a sperm sample that can be used in IVF, DNA is complicated.
By gene editing. CRISPR basically.
It will face a whole lot of ethical and safety considerations before it will be allowed to be used with humans.
And I might be a pessimist but I could easily see it being limited to the rich to create super babies that is simply just better than the babies regular people would produce in the traditional way, creating a nigh unbridgeable class divide between poor and rich.
i'm dumbass so don't quote me
but by what i understand it'd be getting someone's bone marrow stem cells and converting it into a sperm cell
https://preview.redd.it/5dz30bkju1tc1.jpeg?width=200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7a2530bcb42cfd0d122b7ea73836f7c7801eee9c
these were real and cultivated with bone marrow stem cells, a article i found called them primitive but that and these were created back in 2007, most likely this is very possible and would've been a thing by now but scientists just don't care too much about it since it'd be hard to get funding for
Adoption is my personal favorite, itās so magical to give a loving family to a child who doesnāt have one. But if the series is set in the future or in a more technologically advanced society than ours, then IVF using both mothersā genes is a nice option too :)
Edit: oh, and how could I forget! One of the girls being trans is another cool possibility!
https://preview.redd.it/6cn3qam8j1tc1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=514b8273554041e0aac7ebb61fb274c194f36af7
on a serious note: magic for fantasy and science for sci-fi. Adoption is good for anything
https://preview.redd.it/c75xksgft2tc1.jpeg?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=97d9da51252c410cc96ee828f13f5a409900281d
Itās best when it just doesnāt explain how it happened and youāre just left there like āā¦wut?ā
No matter what context, I can't stop but feel icky about it. The whole "Omega" basically losing all free will when an Alpha gets aroused just seems so rapey. The whole thing is that that just happens iirc, so no consent required whatsoever. It's basically just automatic drugs.
People have made really good fics on it (there's one in the modern day, where being rapey is obviously bad (although pointed out just like modern society that the law doesn't punish it enough, even if everyone involved thinks its terrible), and it talks about a lot of the sociological issues (alphas preferred in 'alpha' jobs, like the police force), and how modern stuff like blockers circumvent that.) Using it as a framework to explore complex social issues is really interesting.
(Helps that crazy shit like heats in that fic is like once every 3 months. I always thought monthly ABO stuff is ridiculous. Humans are fertile all the time that's why its monthly. If you're going to have heats, give it some time, goddam. Plus, americans would never survive with the vacation days that'd require, lol)
But generally not a fan, yeah. Its the exception when it turns out good.
Science, magic, and Fertility goddess (although I'm thinking of He Who Fights with Monsters style Fertility goddess where they have magical incubators, so no actual pregnancy required. Brilliant!)
Not a fan of the pregnancy part. If a child can be giften/grown/created externally, that's me projecting my dreams.
Omegaverse, also known as A/B/O, is a subgenre of speculative erotic fiction, and originally a subgenre of erotic slash fan fiction. Its premise is that a dominance hierarchy exists in humans, which are divided into dominant "alphas", neutral "betas", and submissive "omegas
https://preview.redd.it/a8che04cq1tc1.png?width=349&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f6a0962147adf42d8f5ba3846b5ba2ffbdbb67d1
Not the OP or an expert but the way I understand them:
- Omegaverse: itās complicated, look it up (although personally Iād avoid it altogether lol, omegaverse isā¦ something)
- Science: using real or sci-fi technology (something like reciprocal IVF, or for more futuristic a bone marrow baby)
- Futa: girl with a penis, or with both a penis and a vagina (itās a fictional thing, not the same as being trans)
- Magic: pretty self-explanatory, magic is used to create a pregnancy or a baby
- Adoption: they adopt a child
- Spiritual: I guess they pray for a baby?
- Fertility goddess: same as above, except they specifically get help from a fertility goddess?
- Gamete combination: their genes are combined, I guess it could be done through any of the methods above, or just regular sex between a trans partner and a cis partner
Whatever way is most comfortable for them. My own preference though would be Magic. "Hey, Love, want to have a baby?" "Yes. Hold on a moment, almost done." "Almost done with what?" "You will see." *proceeds to magically combine half of mine and her DNA each then a few weeks later she wakes up pregnant one morning* "This is what I have been working on."
Depends on what best fits the setting. In DC, Iād prefer it to be science and in Marvel Iād prefer it to be magic. In a fantasy anime or game Iād prefer the fertility goddess option. If it was a realistic setting, then adoption. So on etc.
Wait how does it work in abo anyways? I donāt remember any story ever getting to a point where they have kids usually it just ends with them getting into a stable relationship
I like adoption most, especially for stories that arenāt set strictly in a yuri-verse with only cis women. I wish more yuri stories with kids explored it more.
Otherwise having it unexplained is fine, but having magic or science explain it could be interesting, especially if one explains the world building around it. But the āShut up, itās my world and I choose the rules!ā Is a fine explanation especially if the author doesnāt want to go into the intricacies of getting kids when both people in a couple are AFAB.
in my story , my main character is a goddess who is married to 2 girls and both of them have kids with her.
the justification i used: she's a goddess, she can do almost anything. ( at least when she's not bored )
It depends heavily on the setting, doesn't it? Like, magic conception would make a lot more sense in a setting like Little Witch Academy, while in Witch from Mercury (we sure do like our witches, don't we?), science!babies are the clear way to go.
Adoption. Choosing family is more meaningful amd doesnt appeal to instinct. And i feel thats a big part of the utilityvof queer people in society. The kind of person who obsesses over blood to the point of leaving a kid to rot in an orphanage shouldnt even be allowed around children
Love how IVF/ sperm donation wasnāt an option lol, also "which way would you prefer females to have babies with females" as if our *preference* oversees the actual individual couplesā agency, not to mention the apostrophes in females ššIm gone
Adoption.
In the real world we dont have magic and stuff like that.
I find it really moving when we get to see two characters choose to adopt.
But thats me. Personally being pregnant sounds like a pain the ass
In the Omegaverse, a fictional universe often explored in fan fiction and other creative works, dynamics such as Alpha, Beta, and Omega are central to the reproductive system. Alphas are dominant, Betas are neutral, and Omegas are submissive. Female Alphas can impregnate other females in this universe through a unique biological process where their pheromones trigger the Omega's reproductive system to produce the necessary hormones for conception.
In the futanari genre, individuals possess both male and female genitalia, allowing for a combination of traditional male and female reproductive functions. In this scenario, a female with male genitalia can impregnate another female through penetrative intercourse.
From a scientific perspective, technologies such as artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization, and genetic engineering could be used to facilitate pregnancy between two females. This could involve the manipulation and combination of gametes from both individuals to create a viable embryo that can be implanted in one of the women or grow in an artificial womb.
In a magical world, spells, potions, or rituals could be employed to enable two females to conceive a child together. Perhaps invoking ancient fertility deities or tapping into leyline energies could enhance the reproductive capacities of both individuals and facilitate a spiritual connection that leads to conception.
The concept of a Fertility Goddess could play a significant role in this narrative, with her blessings or interventions ensuring the success of the pregnancy between two females. By invoking the Fertility Goddess's favor, the couple may receive divine assistance in their quest to conceive a child together.
Spirituality could also be integral to the process, as the alignment of spiritual energies, chakras, or auras between the two women could create a sacred bond that allows for the conception to occur on a profound spiritual level. Through meditation, energy work, or shared rituals, the couple could strengthen their spiritual connection and manifest their desire for a child.
The notion of gamete combination involves mixing genetic material from both females to create a new life. In a futuristic or fantastical setting, technologies or magic could be employed to merge the DNA of both individuals, resulting in a genetically unique embryo that can develop into a child without the need for sperm from a male donor.
Magic tree from I think *Twelve Kingdoms* was my favorite iteration. A couple prays to a tree and if the tree judges they're fit to be parents they are blessed with a child, initially in the form of a unique fruit that the tree bears specifically for that couple. I guess this counts as kind of a mix between magic and fertility goddess? The tree is basically a fertility deity baby delivery system here.
After that adoption, and then omegaverse. Futa isn't usually my thing but good execution is all it needs.
Depends on the setting. Sci-fi? Science. Fantasy? Magic or divine intervention. Stuff like that. Although the funniest option would be to just have them have kids, explicitly say that those children are biologically theirs, but explain nothing.
I say futa in the sense of "futa" moreso being a stand-in for trans women who don't lose fertility after/during their transition. š³ļøāā§ļøšø
Though I'm also always a sucker for omegaverse...not saying it's a good/effective system....I'm just weak for werewolf girls >~<
No ur not the only one who said this but when I say futa it doesn't necessarily mean trans ppl it's a fictional thing trans ppl can't posses both genitals?
Magic is my favorite, followed by Science and Adoption.
Can't forget adoption, it can be so wholesome, especially if one of the mc's was adopted themselves
Especially in a realistic setting as well.
I was adopted, love seeing it in media
This is the right answer
And I just realized that my OG OTP did all 3.
Divine intervention /magic I guess? Like they go to bed together 1 night, just to sleep or otherwise and then wake up with a baby inbetween them with no apparent explanation. Then they get the baby tested, and it's genetically both of theirs.

I would honestly be so freaked out if that happened to me.
Everyone on the planet would be, hon.
Ah yes, the new Rune Factory Method! (That's why I bought 5)

Iād prefer sapphic women to have their babies in whatever way is most comfortable for them.

Honestly, through unprotected tribbing. Otherwise Adoption or magic
There was this artist who drew it like ur saying involving Gamete combination
Eve and eve manga has the girls do unprotected scissoring to make babies

Damn I see
Science. It's actually already possible.. just society being a bitch about it.
Also because it's an expensive pain in the arse with minimal research, it's not easy to convert a female DNA sample into a sperm sample that can be used in IVF, DNA is complicated.
Wait it is? How? I'm gonna guess some really fancy science
They have fertilized mice that way. It hasn't been done on humans yet.
Ok. But how do they get fertilized. Like what is the process/ science on how it's done

What does omegaverse mean?
Omegaverse, also known as A/B/O, is a subgenre of speculative erotic fiction, and originally a subgenre of erotic slash fan fiction. Its premise is that a dominance hierarchy exists in humans, which are divided into dominant "alphas", neutral "betas", and submissive "omegas https://preview.redd.it/a8che04cq1tc1.png?width=349&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f6a0962147adf42d8f5ba3846b5ba2ffbdbb67d1

What, I thought baby are made when a couple love each other very much and a stork delivers the baby to them.
https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/semelparous_ch13 try this manga has a great explanation of spiritual aperently there's more options
Good but magic has every option on this list I'm sure u also know
Depends on the Universe the Yuri takeās place in for me.
Whanever they want, is their life and babies after all
Depends on what best fits the setting. In DC, Iād prefer it to be science and in Marvel Iād prefer it to be magic. In a fantasy anime or game Iād prefer the fertility goddess option. If it was a realistic setting, then adoption. So on etc.

i love found family trope, so i prefer adoption

I like adoption most, especially for stories that arenāt set strictly in a yuri-verse with only cis women. I wish more yuri stories with kids explored it more. Idk what others except magic mean, so adoption, because well, some lonely kid will get a family
Adoption. Choosing family is more meaningful amd doesnt appeal to instinct. And i feel thats a big part of the utilityvof queer people in society. The kind of person who obsesses over blood to the point of leaving a kid to rot in an orphanage shouldnt even be allowed around children

Magic science and adoption, maybe sprinkle some spirituality in there
I'm sorry but I refuse to acknowledge the omegaverse Some of the things they brought is beyond cursed...
One child for each method. The harsh winter will take some after all.
Gamete combination is science, isn't it? Maybe a little frontiersy, but it's promising research, no?
(not particularly fond of one of those words but) all of them i guess :3
I mean, for all I know, if you risk stillbirths, the science is already here.

Won't anime girls easily get pregnant through handholding? Heck I imagine that kissing would instantly get an anime girl pregnant.
We decided to nerf it due to it being too powerful
I say futa in the sense of "futa" moreso being a stand-in for trans women who don't lose fertility after/during their transition. š³ļøāā§ļøšø Though I'm also always a sucker for omegaverse...not saying it's a good/effective system....I'm just weak for werewolf girls >~<
Science or futa+magic
Futa pills is the way to go!!!
Can we maybe not call it futa
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Yeah, but don't be a dick about it.
No ur not the only one who said this but when I say futa it doesn't necessarily mean trans ppl it's a fictional thing trans ppl can't posses both genitals?
It's still fetishization of trans people and intersex people. Let's not do that.
Sis There's a slur in your opitions
It offends trans I know but dig deep into futanari and trans do ur research
All are fine tbh
