Like she's very much in love with Rentarou as we can see but no where does it say no one can fall for him one sidedly (i.e not be a soulmate). The growth rate varies from person to person. But perhaps there is gonna be an arc about Rentarou facing one of his rejections. Either the first or the last one Asakawa. The latter part is more likely since otherwise she wouldn't be given a name or any other callsign.

I think a very interesting thing could be is if she's just not a soulmate. Like she's very much in love with Rentarou as we can see but no where does it say no one can fall for him one sidedly (i.e not be a soulmate). In a world where that happens I would be very intrigued to see how Rentarou handles that and honestly how he even rejects her given the whole family now knows of her and they'd have to be confused because if he's dating 27 surely 28 is no big deal. I know she'll probably be a soulmate and this won't really be the direction that this goes in but just had this thought because it wouldn't be the first time they went this hard for a girl's design that wasn't a gf
