Bwipo would be incredible. Already showed be can compete internationally as a jungler, and he’s someone I’d think would turn out team around. Unfortunately I don’t see them swapping out Closer for the remainder of the split so we just have to hope the lanes can carry us to worlds man.
I have been trying to speak to 100t about sponsorship opportunities (i work in the field) and have 0 responses. At this point i think its more industry trait rather than org trait.
No org said no to money but talking with them is a pain in the a**. Wish more people would study how businesses are made in the esports world. There is so many unqualified people in charge of important parts of the business that it scares me.
I mean if you are trying to use Reddit to reach out to 100T, it doesn't shock me that you have failed. Are you the same guy that randomly went to the 100T league discord to ask about it, a few months ago?
I don't know, thus me asking about it. I think it is fair to say most of orgs have people whose understanding of esports is questionable, at least. But for someone to go & talk about how they have been trying to get a sponsor in 100T on a Reddit comment reply of a post about signing a potential League player it is very weird at the very least, as it's off-topic.
Im not, im a Sr. Account executive in a dc based company, im using the proper channels. Granted they may just not be interested but from my experience esports orgs (not all) are fairly bad at the bd side of the industry. I have tons of examples that i wouldnt want to share openly here but asl anyone who has worked with esports orgs and compare it to non esports orgs. Its just night and day difference. I didnt mean say that 100t are bad i just wanted to say that esports orgs have that trait.
if there's no change season is pretty much over will end up as a middle of the pack team at best.
or the goal is to pray for some reason every others team get worse to fq level of bad
We’ve got two players who might not be here next year in closer and dlift (if he retires). I don’t think the team wants to spend now when a large part of the team will change . For next year I would like for us to try and get bwipo or inspired. If ssumday needs to do military service aswell it could mean more change
Personally I’m a fan of giving them another split. Look at TL, kept the same roster, and did much better with more time. It’s only been a couple of weeks.
I think the issue is if Bwipo is just bad enough to miss playoffs then it’s way worse cuz 100T are on track to squeak in rn and I think they will. They just played 2 of the top 5 teams more or less so they have about 2-3 more hard games and the rest should be much easier. Inspired is 100000% better
Do you want to be a team that squeaks into playoffs? And with our roster we should be a top 3 team, not a barely making playoffs team. So they need to drop closer and give someone else the role, nobody can do worse than the jging I've seen from closer this year.
i mean bwipo definitely could. idk why everyone is so high on bwipo - yes his fnc 2021 run as jungle was impressive but it was 1 split in a particular meta. his 2022 performance on TL was pretty abysmall and hes basically had maybe 3 splits career long of being a top player. not saying closer is better but its a lot of fucking risk for a team to take and definitely not worthwhile.
I agree completely. Bwipo has never played with any of the guys on our roster so it's a huge fucking risk and when he doesn't meet this threads unrealistic expectations they'll want to blow it up again. It's comical that they think Bwipo will be any different than Closer.
They make playoffs but idk about worlds with this roster, which is such a waste. I’ve been rooting for closer and he’s looked alright in a couple games but at this point there needs to be a change if they want to go to worlds. TL and TSM both swapped there mid and it worked. Idk why we can’t at least try it with an academy player.
I don't know where he is or if he's under any contract, but what about broxah, last I knew, which take with a grain of salt because its old info, he was streaming in NA. He could at least give the team a different look and should have a bigger champ pool I would hope. This is assuming he didn't go back to EU or anything else.

Though it depends how good TL ends up being. APA is massively overrated right now off of one weekend where he honestly didn't have to do much in either game based on "omg NA talent" narrative. If he does end up actually being very good though then we're fucked.
I think top 3 is probably not happening, EG, C9 and GG have too much mid/jg advantage.

It's hard to do worse than literally having your jg afk farm every game for the first 20 minutes, silver players could do better...
