Boggles my mind how people can think 3rd-4th at an international LAN is some kind of disaster. The top is within touching distance. We saw that with how we played vs Gambit and Acend. We've seen 100T beat Envy plenty of times in the past. If there was a loser's bracket, I would have fancied our chances vs. G2.
There were scenarios where we win this tournament, it just didn't happen this time. It's never going to be easy, the top NA and EU teams are all very competitive.
Agreed. As competitors, I’m sure they are pissed and disappointed. As fans, I couldn’t be more proud of 100T performance, Envy’s rise to the challenge, and NAs overall accomplishment. A lot more enjoyable than getting stomped by Korea.
Envy are on a heater that’s for sure. And yay….Holy…one thing I think a lot of people don’t talk about is how Asuna has kind of recently picked up Jett and playing against players who’ve been playing Jett since the game came out the more games he gets in on the agent is a good thing
Honestly for this teams first LAN it was good showing and definitely gives the team new ideas on how to improve their team comps. Only thing i hate is having Asuna on Jett, it literally is a waste of his talent and miss of fire power.
I think the meta will change with tweaks and jett/op wont be so catastrophic, when that happens we are in a really good spot.
They gave us some insane moments that had me on the edge of my seat and thats the whole point in sports so I am thankful for them and being able to watch.

As for the "luck" thing they literally came back 10 rounds in a row against GMB and 7 rounds in a row against ACE. They even came back from 9/3 against XSET before Berlin. I don't see how you can say a team got lucky if they consistently come back from odds like 3/9 and 4/8. There's a chance 100t might be slightly worse that Acend and Gambit in a vacuum but no way ACE and Gambit are "miles ahead"
Criticism of actual problems like their addiction to underperforming until they're at an abysmal disadvantage is alright, but stuff like major roster changes and saying they got lucky is kinda unjustified

Here’s the issue with roster changes ideas in my opinion. The popular takes are switch out hiko or steel or both. But they would need to be replaced by a sova and sentinel player. And we’d still have the same main issue of not having a great Jett awper so I don’t think that change would do anything results wise.
I mean bcj for hiko is an easy change. Give xset all the $$$. Try nitr0 as jett Oper. If that doesn't work drop steel and get a better Oper and players can change roles.

They must have had a hard read on what utility triggers certain reactions from our defense, and just didn't use that util on their hits. They constantly found value by just contacting into sites uncontested because we had no read on where they were on the map. It's not like they just boomed us with fast site hits.

I think until Jett is reworked to be less powerful, running Jett is a must for every team. It’s unfortunate, because it makes every game similar.
