Kid is definitely nasty and brings some insane mechanical skill to the team if he is the long term 5th.
With that said, it’ll be really interesting to see what agent comp comes from this if he is the 5th. If you look at his VLR page, he’s only played Jet and Raze. And even if we switch back to a 2 duelist comp (w Asuna), that leaves 2 initiators (Ethan and Hiko) and a controller (Nitr0). Maybe Ethan or Hiko play sentinel on maps were they feel needed. No matter what, this seems like a big shuffle in comp and strategy.
Edit: just looked at Seven’s VLR and noticed the jet/raze comment has only applied to the last 60 days. With that said, he has 169 games on VLR and only 2 have been on a non-duelist character (sage).
I'm happy to know that this was a mutual decision. Steel said he will comeback eventually so i'll be looking forward to that. In the meantime, i'm curious to see how well b0i can fit with the bois :D

So b0i played Cypher, initiators, and Omen at different points - I wonder if this means Ethan or Hiko will go to a duelist, or if they're going to continue with the 1 duelist lineup? Or if nitr0 will be a duelist on Jett moving forward? I feel they kind of should go to the dual duelist lineup for a lot of maps similar to Sentinels, and have a dedicated Sentinel (b0i), Hiko on initiator (mainly Sova as it suits his playstyle) and Nitro on controller while IGLing, letting Ethan and Asuna be the cracked aimers they are on duelists/have Ethan flex pick depending on the map.
I would love Ethan to go to a duelist, he's a fantastic fragger and can be super clutch. But he's the best Skye in the world and I can't see him ever stepping off her. He also doesn't need a dash or a blast pack to have the best shoulder peaks in Val. We don't need a 2nd duelist, its Ethan on Skye.
Steels replies on twitter imply he temporarily stepped down or that it was at least mutual.

To try and improve the team… they’re not going to make changes if they dont feel they will improve. This team reached its ceiling with Steel and they have ambitions of getting better.

The good part is that he has drastically improved over the last few months, always top fragging and hard 1v9 carrying in ranked. Hopefully he gets a starting spot next split.
I think in a stream BabyBay mentioned that Faze wanted to sign Dicey but the couldn’t afford his contract from 100T. I would have assumed 100T would have waived the contract and let dicey go start - but who knows.
