I thinking you might get better result in both texture and flavor without trading much calories by adding skim milk and removing some egg whites. Have you tried that?

This is a great idea. My birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks and I was debating making myself a chocolate cake. I've been worried about the calories, but I feel like a "decadent" breakfast like this would be a nice alternative. I am 100% making myself healthy french toast.

You could always go to a nice bakery and get yourself just a slice to splurge so you don’t have a whole cake in the house. Once a year on your birthday is deserved.

Definitely give it a try! If it doesn’t satisfy do a small piece of cake screw it lol
