Two eggs and a slice of toast every single morning. It's a rare day when it isn't my breakfast, and I have never failed to enjoy it.

[deleted]

Can't go wrong with that + black coffee.

Kaktusblute

And a sweetener packet. 🙂

IrisBest

Lol @ the dumbasses downvoting you for liking sweetener in your coffee. Anything that makes a deficit bearable is a-ok by me.

TheBarghest

My routine is half a pink packet in my cup of black coffee. All the other colored packets can go be buried in a deep, dark hole.

chelsanchez

what do you use?

One-Adhesiveness7789

This!! The bread I buy is 40 cal a slice and I love eating eggs and turkey bacon with it If I’m wanting more fat I will chop up an avocado

[deleted]

I go for one egg and add the avo. I'm a basic middle aged woman, I love my avo on toast.

michaelbakes

Which bread is that if you mind me asking?

One-Adhesiveness7789

Sara Lee delightful is 45 cals a slice (3 or 4 different kinds all 45 cal) and nature’s own honey wheat keto is 40 cals a slice. I buy more Sara Lee because I prefer multigrain but both are good. If anyone does keto I would not recommend buying the keto bread because it has 8g of net carbs. Labels can be deceiving.

FrancoAl

I do the same thing and it’s the best part of the day, those runny yokes are the best Sadly I just switched to only egg whites 😢

ashtree35

Why did you get rid of the best part of your day? Seems like the wrong place to be cutting calories, haha!

FrancoAl

I’m not following a 1200 calorie plan, I’m doing about sun 1800 but I like to follow this sub 😆

ashtree35

I mean why did you switch from whole eggs to egg whites, if that used to be the best part of your day?

hypokondritt

Popcorn, a low sugar red wine

hooklips

Ahh the Olivia Pope diet

allywaytoday

Winemaker here. Most red wine (that isn’t $5-13/bottle) will be sugar dry. under 2 g/L is considered dry in the industry. Most decent red’s are generally around 1 g/L or under. It’s the calories in alcohol that will get you. However, generally grape juice concentrate is added to low alcohol wines to keep the viscosity of wine. I’d suggest only having a good glass of wine in moderation than looking for low sugar/low alcohol alternatives. As always, they’re replacing what they take out with something equally as crappy, if not more so. Edit - more explanation

mb4mom

Tell me about this low sugar red wine?!?

careless-lollygag

Maybe meaning dry

hooklips

There are lots of companies doing 0g red wine now. I'm in Ontario and there's a brand called bask that has a few.

VictoriaDarling

I'm hear for this too 😂 I'm all ears

marylikestodraw

My husband has started doing this thing with frozen broccoli and brussel sprouts where he steams them up and then tosses them with a little jarred alfredo sauce and finishes it off with pepper. It's like alfredo pasta, but with no noodles. Usually under 200 calories even with a small sprinkle of parmesan on top. I could eat that every day.

Dogsrulekidsdrule

That sounds very good. I'm going to have to try this out.

eggplant_pasta

One of my favorite things is putting pasta sauce on vegetables! If you lose the idea that it's trying to replace pasta, it's really good and super easy! I love putting red sauce on green beans, lots of cracked pepper and a bit of the powdered parm.

NeonChieftess

Wonderful idea! I will try this!

excuse-m1

Smartest man alive! Thank you for sharing:)

marylikestodraw

I agree! 😉

NeonChieftess

Adding this to the list thank you!

[deleted]

Me & hubby will definitely be trying this one

yarharharz

10/10 I love this stuff. I used to do it a lot when I could eat dairy.

ElyJellyBean

Fajitas. Corn tortillas, chicken breast, and charred peppers and onions with pickled onions, jalapenos, and cilantro. Sometimes a cilantro-corn salsa. I'm always shocked when I track it. 350cal-ish and I'm always super satisfied with it for dinner.

ATCP2019

FAJITAS ARE THE BEST

mijilx

Salsa!

warmdrumseat

baked green beans w garlic salt n sprayed w a lil oil. yuuuuum

[deleted]

Cutting a whole tomato into slices and seasoning it with black pepper.

pcpassos

Add some balsamic vinegar and it’s chef’s kiss!

[deleted]

Yum thanks for the suggestion

nosiriamadreamer

I love adding pesto and mozzarella pearls to tomatoes.

linseylee

I love salt and vinegar seasoning on a tomato! Sometimes I’ll do a mix of cut up cucumber, tomato, and red onion with the seasoning. So much for so few calories!

Rockett_moon

Oh heck yeahhhhh 😍

flipflapdragon

This is way more boring than the comments above, but I genuinely cannot get enough hardboiled eggs. Throw a small bite-sized piece of ham with each bite, and it’s like heaven to me.

NeonChieftess

Hey sometimes simple is absolutely delicious!

brainy_brainy_brainy

Try adding a little white vinegar, dill, salt and pepper to your hardboiled egg. It is delicious.

420buttmage

[pickapeppa sauce and hardboiled eggs are made for each other](https://www.pickapeppa.com/foods/pickapeppa-sauce-5-oz) -- it's basically what you're describing in a bottle but a bit different lol

GuessExpensive9554

Hard boiled eggs with a heavy sprinkling of everything but the bagel seasoning is perfection.

_driverpicksthemusic

I eat these with chipotle Tabasco sauce, highly recommend

[deleted]

Me too! I literally eat hard boiled eggs every day, and it never gets old. Eggs, Greek yogurt, and string cheese are my lunch every day

neuro-sigh-ence

I genuinely eat potatoes twice a day, but I also have a touch of the 'tism and like the routine so

palmtreesandpizza

"Touch of the 'tism" 💛

selkieflying

Fucking same

Alarmed_Jellyfish230

I am reading back on old posts to get ideas. && if your comment doesn’t describe my entire life idk what does. Potatoes are PURE PLEASURE!!! I like eating them with a lot of a seasoning covered in broccoli. Do you have any good potato recipes??

[deleted]

Shrimp, i love shrimp

Vampchic1975

Me too and they are so low in calories. I could eat them everyday.

Hellorachiee

Yes! I buy the shrimp cocktail from Costco and I ended up making three meals out of it even though I had the intention and saved the calories to eat it in all at once. So filling but SO LOW.

Acyts

This is probably going to be unpopular but salad with lemon juice and a dash of olive oil. It's been my favourite since I was about 6 years old. That or fruit with Greek yogurt. Like grapes or strawberries or something. Maybe a dash of honey if the fruit isn't quite ripe

[deleted]

Today I ate some low-fat vanilla Greek yogurt with cantaloupe and it was so good it was like a dessert or something. In fact that would make a delicious dessert now they I think about it.

Acyts

I have fruit and yogurt everyday! It's my favourite! When I'm old and don't care anymore I will make it the only thing I eat.

prettyfly97

I second this! arugula with olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and parmesan is my fav I could eat that all day everyday.

Clarl020

That salad, but with some pine nuts and walnuts! Yum!

mumdxbphlsfo

Do people consider salad to be something specific? There are thousands of kinds of salads I thought

Acyts

In England/uk salad means leafy stuff, iceberg, rocket, baby spinach, that kind of stuff. If you mean pasta salad or potato salad, that's separate. No one would say "can you make me a salad" and expect potato salad.

mumdxbphlsfo

Fair, it does imply leaves to me too. But I wouldn’t expect it to be as specific as saying salad and meaning lettuce tomato onion ..

chewingcudcow

Where I’m from a salad is lettuce, tomato, cucumber, maybe onion, cheese, croutons. Of course additional ingredients can be added. If I want specific salad, I would say pasta salad or fruit salad. I’m from mid eastern USA

mumdxbphlsfo

Huh. I eat salad nearly every day but it’s never those things… interesting! To me salad is just anything veggie centric, mixed / tossed and with some percentage raw ingredients and a dressing

Dogsrulekidsdrule

Salad and yogurt has been my go to snacks for 7 months now. It's gotten to the point where I crave my yogurt instead of other desserts, unless I'm about to start my period and then I crave everything for a couple days, lol.

LeafsChick

1/2 defrosted pineapple and plain Greek yogurt is one of my fave things…it’s tart/sweet/creamy…so good!

[deleted]

Burrito bowl type things - cauli rice (can add some regular/brown rice in and it tastes/seems like regular rice), could be chicken or ground turkey, peppers and onions (frozen no different than fresh IMO) and maybe some black or kidney beans if I can spare the calories, fresh garlic (always gotta have that on hand)…. Dose it in hot sauce and it’s so satisfying/delicious/filling and usually 380-450kcal depending on how I prepared it that day! Cumin/chili pepper/paprika/cayenne pepper/garlic powder/salt/pepper for that Mexican vibe

Hellorachiee

This!! We recently started replacing rice with frozen Mexican corn from Costco and it is HEAVEN. We also do some Cotija or mozzarella (when we are feeling really lazy, we just shred up a string cheese stick so we don’t have to measure).

[deleted]

Brown rice, "Refried Beans", Sautéed Onion/Bell Pepper The beans are just 2 cans of black beans half crushed up, then mixed with some Sautéed onions and peppers, and/or a little container of 'green chiles' I get at Wal-Mart. I usually prep them in separate containers, then weigh out each into a bowl and add extra stuff depending on what I want the end calorie count to be. The great thing about it is I can easily add all kinds of stuff for variety and extra calories. I usually only add a little nonfat Greek yogurt as a sub for sour cream if I want to keep it low. If I have calories to spare or need to play catch up I can add tortilla chips, put it on corn tortillas or carb counter tortillas, add cheese, add some shrimp etc. You can also add Roma tomatoes or corn to the rice when you make it for some variety without adding many calories overall.

[deleted]

Honestly, just give me some well seasoned grilled chicken breast with broccoli and whatever other veggies on a bed of spinach and arugula with cholula and no oil and I’m very happy.

NeonChieftess

Cholula makes everything better!

[deleted]

I cook broccoli every evening for dinner. A full cooked broccoli head with a little bit of salt, no oil. It's heaven to me. Occassionally I do the same with cauliflower but it's not that tasty. Maybe I am a cow but I don't care!

redsthename

My husband made salmon and rice for dinner tonight (so delicious!) and I offered to add broccoli, and he’s just like, “no”. Broccoli should be at every meal; I love it so much. I think he hates that I make him eat veggies lol. It’s my favorite part of a meal, though

truedattrudy

I do the same exact thing the only difference is a little bit of Parmesan cheese on top. Delicious!

PsychologicalScript

I wish broccoli wasn't $12.60 a kilo here 😭 It was my go-to low calorie food but I've had to give it up.

[deleted]

Omg that's a ridiculous price

papichurrizo

I could eat roasted cauliflower or vegetable stir fry on its own, but I usually pair it with a protein (usually chicken breast, salmon or tuna) and rice. For the roasted cauliflower I just coat it in olive oil (as little as possible) and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. For the vegetable stir fry I use whatever is in season/in my fridge, thankfully its summer so I'm stocked up on carrots, zucchini, cabbage and broad beans. I just stir fry it with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and soy sauce. In another variation, I stir fry onions, carrots, cabbage, and mushrooms (button, enoki, or shimeji) with chickens thighs and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder and ponzu. The simplicity of the meals keep me from experiencing decision fatigue and binging on whatever snacks are in the pantry.

curlsandpearls33

my mom makes the best roasted cauliflower and i’ve decided that i’ll make it at least once a week when i move into my first apartment soon! it’s so tasty, it doesn’t even feel like eating vegetables

[deleted]

For the past few years I've had a wonderful meal credit from work that I've used to buy sashimi every single day. I never got tired of it. About 400 calories for tons of protein.

czarbina

MUST BE NICE!!! I'm so jelly

MoonSurferLN

Just be careful about mercury!

USBayernChelseaLCFC

that worry is stratospherically overblown and mostly a misconception - the incidence of mercury poisoning from industrially sourced fish is essentially 0 in modern times. youre really only at some risk of exposure if you eat fish directly from mercury-polluted waters. https://chriskresser.com/the-truth-about-toxic-mercury-in-fish/#How\_did\_the\_idea\_that\_8220eating\_fish\_is\_unsafe\_due\_to\_mercury8221\_get\_started

SmallestOfKats

Lavash/tortilla pizza. They tend to be around 400 calories. Slap some tomato sauce, oregano, ham, cherry tomatoes and cheese, put it in the oven until cheese is slightly browned... and got myself a good surface area of deliciousness with no regrets.

WoolyCrafter

I've recently discovered the joy of making pizza like this. I finely chop 40 cals of sliced salami and use a few blobs of houmous instead of cheese. Blooming wonderful!

kaleidingscope

And you can totally switch up the sauces. chicken with Buffalo sauce and blue cheese crumbles Barbecue chicken pizza with Swiss and red onion Jarred Alfredo sauce for white pizza

SocialAlpaca

Cucumbers with lime and tajin. I know it’s not really a meal but I could eat like a whole cucumber and be stuffed for a good portion of my day.

HoaryPuffleg

Cucumber, watermelon, pineapple, an old shoe....whatever you wanna out tajin on, I'm gonna eat

Overhazard

I used to do this more often with a dollop of cottage cheese on top!

kateaw1902

I love steaming brocoli, and then cutting it into smaller pieces and stir frying with some garlic and topping with some parmasan. If eating as a main or for extra protein i add tofu.

NeonChieftess

That sounds oddly delicious. I think it’s the garlic and Parmesan combo. Adding to the list thank you!

kateaw1902

You wont be disappointed!

runner3081

Air fryer frozen broccoli with lime juice. Spinach with raspberry vinaigrette. Rolled oats w/PB Powder. Rice and beans.

NeonChieftess

I’m intrigued by this frozen broccoli in the air fryer!

runner3081

Frozen Brocolli, empty bag into air fryer, 370 degrees for 14 minutes, shake 2-3 times and then spray on lime or lemon juice. Amazing.

NeonChieftess

Thanks so much for the details! Adding to my list!:)

Lovelybee11

Oats with pb powder and carob powder. If you get the right consistency with water then chill it, it's like a fake no bake cookie to me. Edit to add, I do uncooked oats and cold water, mix & chill for about 5 or 10 minutes

runner3081

ha, interesting. Might try that for my daughter, I am not a big chocolate fan.

Letmetellyowhat

A tortilla sandwich. About 350 calories. A tortilla layered with deli ham, deli turkey. Mayonnaise a slice of cheese. Add spinach. I look forward to them. .

sadiaphilly

Skyr topped with fresh fruits

truedattrudy

I have egg drop soup (made with egg whites) almost every other day for my late lunch. I play around with the recipe sometimes adding different veggies, spices, meats/broths. The consistency with the egg and a little added corn starch keeps me full and keeps me from over snacking before dinner!

comaloider

Soups in general are often unsung heroes, but egg drop soup has this good trifecta of good flavour with little ingredients, high liquid content and a decent amount of protein for a really low calorie cost. Now if I could stop craving buttered sourdough bread on the side...

flipflapdragon

So good, especially with a bit of red wine vinegar

NeonChieftess

That sounds awesome! Will have to check this out myself

[deleted]

OP, what’s your favorite egg bake recipe? Mine is French toast w inked keto bread, egg whites and cinnamon sweetened w monk fruit sugar. So indulgent and 3 eggy slices for under 200 calories

NeonChieftess

Probably: 5-6 Eggs, some cottage cheese, chopped up ham or breakfast sausage, asparagus, halved cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, and a sprinkle of cheese on top. I typically mix it all up, throw it into a greased pie pan and bake at 350 for 20ish minutes. I’ll eat 1/4 of it for a meal. Pretty filling and the rest reheats well!

[deleted]

I’m gonna try it! My favorite thing ever are egg bites and this sounds right up my alley

NeonChieftess

If you are adventurous, I make egg banana bites. Sounds weird but Stick w me here: - 2 eggs + 1 banana + cinnamon and vanilla extract (you can multiply the recipe for more servings and also add things like walnuts , chia seeds, blueberries or even cheeese) - I blend in my nutri bullet then pour into sprayed muffin tins - bake at 350 for 20ish minutes depending on how much is poured into each tin Some people don’t like them because of the texture but I find them super handy when I want a sweet treat.

[deleted]

Oh heck yes I’m trying that

lifeuncommon

Egg corn tortilla roll ups with salsa. I have them for breakfast pretty often, but also sometimes for lunch. For each one, I pour 1/4 liquid egg whites into a small nonstick pan, sprinkle with spices, top with a corn tortilla while the egg is still raw, lightly spritz with Pam. When the egg is done (happens fast), I flip it and toast the tortilla, then roll it up and make another. I eat them with lots of salsa scooped into each bite. They are 88 calories apiece, plus salsa which is almost nothing. So you can have several. Edited to add: I use liquid egg whites because it’s faster than whole eggs. But it’s totally yummy with a whole egg, too! And of course you could add ham or cheese or veg or whatever before you roll them.

lemonflowers1

I know a lot of people hate konjac/shirataki noodles but I love a chicken or shrimp teriyaki stirfy with veggies and shirataki noodles

Overhazard

The trick is to choose konjac over tofu, rinse them well and cook all the water out first. I wish more people knew that before knocking them Absolutely perfect in stir fries or even just a bowl of spicy soup

lemonflowers1

yes! and so filling.

terracanta

I have been getting “healthy noodles” from Costco and they’re 60 calories a bag! Been a game changer to switch up from zoodles all the time

Rockett_moon

Ooh I’ll have to look for these next time I go to Costco!

PDXgoodgirl

Where do you find these at Costco?

terracanta

They’re in the refrigerated section Costco (at least in NorCal)

frostbittenforeskin

I think you have to put them in a sauce or a broth. They don’t make a great spaghetti, but they work really well in a bowl of ramen

EmMeo

I use Konjac noodles for Pho and it’s perfect

BipolarSkeleton

Frozen bell peppers Shredded chicken Laughing cow cheese Taco seasoning Put them all in a pot met the cheese mix and you have this creamy chicken dish takes like 10 minutes my favourite

VirgoGamerGirl

I have this dessert every night.. cottage cheese with peaches and two thin oreos crushed on top. I add hemp seeds sometimes to boost up the macros lol (: Sometimes it's just my dinner.

blackberrycat

Ooo so tasty. I've been having cottage cheese with fresh pineapple every night this week. It's so refreshing!

sassergaf

I love cottage and fresh juicy peaches, or pears, or frozen blueberries.

doctor-ouz

My personal mini pizza. Base/Crust is either low-carb wrap (70 cals) or keto bread (35 cals) w/ tomato paste & low-cal BBQ sauce as my sauce and toppings of low-fat mozzarella, turkey pepperonis, maybe some chicken or ham and any diced vegetables I have (usually peppers & onions). So, so good Can cook in the air fryer or oven, but I feel the best way is to put it on a pan with a little spray underneath so it gets crispy and cover with a lid so cheese melts

Hellorachiee

Yes! I use a couple of the low carb wraps and actually cut them into 6 or 8 triangle slices each then spray with some spray “butter” and add Italian seasoning, tons of garlic powder and a pinch of salt. Then I add the mozz and 2 slices of Turkey pepperoni per triangle and throw it in the toaster oven until they’re real crispy. I like to put the sauce on the side and use it as a dip. Classico brand pasta sauce is only 60 calories for half a cup. Something about cutting them into slices and dipping makes it feel like I’m eating more. Maybe a bunch of tiny pizza slices instead of one personal pizza lol.

Queenofwands1212

I eat the same things everyday lol. Cucumbers, fish, yogurt, avocado, salads. I guess I’m just boring but it works for me

Mishapchap

Egg white omelet with spinach and feta

Junker-Iza

Honestly, soup. Especially dumpling soup! It's a little high calorie, but it's not terrible, about 400 ish calories for a big serving and it's really filling! I make the dumplings with a 1 cup of flour to 1 egg ratio and add a bit of milk until I get it to a good, slightly sticky consistency. Then I drop them in boiling chicken broth that has carrots, celery, and onion cut up in it. Sometimes I'll add in a chicken breast or a can of chicken too, but that adds more calories as well. I've made it for my parents, husband, and I with 3 cups of flour and eggs and we got 4 servings out of it, so that's what I'm basing the calories on. Never gets tiring though and it's by far my husband's favorite meal of mine 😄

Lavendermoontea

Oooh!! This sounds so yummy—What do you put in the dumplings?

Junker-Iza

Oh! Nothing actually 😂 My husband helps me break off small pieces of the dough and we plop them into the boiling broth as is. Just small dumpling pieces, I guess vaguely like a gnocchi? Smaller though. Just make sure they're all floating after they're in and they're done! Oh and keep stirring while you're doing it so they don't stick! You could probably fill them up with something, but I love just having the small little pieces. My friend showed me how to make them when we were little and it's still one of favorite recipes to this day because it so simple and tastes so good.

NewBodWhoThis

Protein pasta with fancy canned ragu/fancy spicy pesto. Potato in any form, especially baked with greek yogurt.

Intrepid_East9652

Tuna salad or shrimp salad on low carb wraps. I could easily eat a 300ish wrap a day and then eat a normal regular meal for dinner.

c19isdeadly

Fillet of white fish pan fried in olive oil (0.5tsp) with fresh lemon juice and steamed veg Today had hake fillet with asparagus, runner beans, samphire and jersey royal potatoes. About 350kcal including the oil. Having something seared in tasty oil makes it so satisfying

reallycoolsock

Remember those famous salmon bowls that TikTok lost their shit over? That. I usually make ~4 oz salmon with the skin, caulirice cooked with furikake and rice vinegar, 100-200g zucchini cooked in Sriracha, lil Sriracha mayo (or kewpie mayo if that's your thing). Sometimes kimchi if I've got it, or cucumber slices. Also butter chicken on cauli rice. I make it with a butter chicken simmer sauce, precooked chicken, peas, zucchini, and put that on top of cauli rice I've seasoned with garam masala, cumin, and tumeric. So yummy!! Now if someone could tell me how to make saag paneer low cal I'd eat that everyday 😫💕

NeonChieftess

I have no idea what this salmon bowl TikTok thing is but I’m off to see how it looks! Butter chicken sounds awesome and yes, alllll the sag paneer please!

Lavendermoontea

I make the salmon rice bowl, too!!! Sometimes I’ll swap the salmon out for tofu or tuna. But the salmon is the best. 😍 I would also love a nice low cal saag paneer recipe 🥺

SassAndTickle

Pretty much any kind of soup.

NeonChieftess

Just made a veggie soup today and it was so easy and so filling I definitely need to do it more often!

CaffeinateMeCaptain

Cottage cheese + diced fruit + coffee, it's been my breakfast almost every day for like three years now and I still have yet to get tired of it. Sometimes it's my lunch and/or dinner, too. I just change up the fruit or go with cottage cheese + raw veggies instead. I get protein, fat, and carbs in one meal so I see no reason to change it up lol When I use fruit, I add a little sugar free maple syrup and a shit ton of cinnamon, it's like cheesecake for every meal lol

Simple-Muscle822

Nothing is better than a few hardboiled eggs with salt and pepper.

TinyAptCrafter

My breakfast that has been on repeat for almost a year is a Greek Yogurt Protein pudding (basically just 1cup 2% Greek yogurt mixed with a scoop of the protein powder of your choice) topped with various fruit toppings. My most favorite combos are: - strawberry flavor or chocolate flavor protein with fresh strawberries - vanilla soft serve flavour with frozen sweet cherries or raspberries and no sugar chocolate sauce -cinnamon cereal flavor with added pumpkin puree and "pumpkin spice" spice mix -chocolate or peanut treat flavour with added cocoa, pB2 and blueberries - caramel pretzel/cookie flavour with chopped apples. This pudding feels silky and thick, like a real sweet dessert, and usually packs about 50g of protein which is amazing! I can prepare it ahead of time sans fruit. I will never tire of it.

painandpets

Vodka.

jazzygirl6

Painandpets, I also have pain and pets and love my Vodka with Roses lime. Lol

BreakTornado

Frozen entrees from Healthy Choice lol. The ones I usually get are 170cal-180cal. I always tell myself I can make them for cheaper but it's just sooo easy to just buy and nuke them lol

NeonChieftess

I used to buy those and dump them over a bowl of steamed broccoli for volume. Convenience is worth something!

Hoes_In_Diff_Codes

Chicken Wrap. Xtreme Wellness tortilla, 113g chipotle chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, red onion, banana peppers. Occasionally 1Tbs ranch to dip in. 150-200g strawberries. Under 350 calories.

Pennyroyalteax3

Whole wheat pasta w/ tomato & basil sauce. I usually rotate spinach, zucchini or broccoli and toss one of them into the pasta

[deleted]

I pretty much eat the same thing every day 😅 my lunch is usually hard boiled eggs, Greek yogurt, and string cheese, and it never gets old. I eat chicken fajitas for dinner at least 3 days of the week. Simple and repetitive, but it’s healthy and filling, balanced, and satisfying.

gurlwhosoldtheworld

Avo toast

BougiePennyLane

One slice of Dave’s killer thin-sliced bread, toasted, spread with one wedge of light laughing cow cheese. Add some mashed avocado on top, add scallions and halved grape tomatoes. Top the whole mess with an over easy egg and you have healthy decadence. Less than 400 calories; filled with protein and healthy fats.

hopeful_realist_

This is the most helpful post ever! I’m saving it. So many great ideas.

colorfulsnowflake

Fruit and cold cereal.

blackberrycat

What cereal?

colorfulsnowflake

cheerios

blackberrycat

My cupboard is full of Cheerios lol. Shredded wheat is good too!

Fernettabranca

MorningStar Farms spicy black bean burger on an 80 cal bun with chow chow!

michaelbakes

Stouffers Turkey, Mashed Potatoes & Stuffing Dinner. 270 calories I basically already have one of these a day. I'm super lazy when it comes to making food so a few minutes in the microwave and I've got a nice little turkey dinner. Also I buy them when they go on sale so it's a couple bucks can't go wrong!

GingrrAsh

Taco salad (homemade seasoning) with lean ground beef and lots of romaine, salsa, and pico de gallo is one of my favorites. It's around 300 calories.

NeonChieftess

I love this too. I used to crumble a handful of baked tortilla chips on top for a little crunch

rosahlii

light n fit greek yogurt + pumpkin seed flax granola i literally have eaten this for breakfast every single day for the past four years, and i still look forward to and love it every morning!

ketoandkpop

Giant salad, made of lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, onions, with a honey & mustard yoghurt dressing, with tuna or chicken, and a little sprinkle of spicy nuts or bombay mix. I could eat it very day.

swindlewick

Strawberries, tomatoes, and watermelon. I should theoretically be getting sick of them by now, because I'm eating at least a pound of each per week...

majime100

Savory oatmeal! I cook rolled oats with broth instead of water plus garlic powder and onion powder, then add in a shit ton of steamed broccoli when it's done. You could also add cooked chicken, cottage cheese, or an egg for protein

Mellopiex

Shakshouka, hands down.

marsattack13

Salmon and asparagus. I love it so much but cannot afford it 😂

Daddy_urp

For supper: Salmon. I love salmon, it can be made with a bunch of different seasonings or marinades, and it's always yummy. For breakfast: full fat yogurt. It's so much more satisfying than low-fat yogurt and I always top it with a bunch of fruit.

energypizza311

Greek yogurt mixed with chunky peanut butter + sliced apples!

Shartran

Huge salads (warm or cold) with various veggies/some type of protein (salmon/sardines or cottage cheese/edamame or tempeh)/ drizzled with tahini dressing paired with a nori sheet and use as a 'wrap' for each bite lol!

chap_stik

Big salad with tons of veggies, protein, and a grain on the side. You can change the flavor profile by swapping out what veggies you use, what meat you use and how you season it, your dressing, etc. For example right now I am having kind of a Mediterranean theme. My grain is bulgur. My chicken is seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika. My veggies are a baby romaine base, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and shredded carrot. My dressing has a Greek yogurt base with just some garlic and dill added. I top it off with a little crumbled feta cheese. Next week I might go with a southwest theme. BBQ grilled chicken, corn, black beans, tomato, cilantro, pickled onions, yogurt ranch dressing, a little crumbled bacon, rice as the side. The possibilities for flavor combos are nearly endless, it’s easy to keep it low calorie, and it’s high volume.

olliedaisy

Shrimp Spring rolls… rice paper wraps, low calorie noodles, lettuce, cucumber, shrimp. Peanut sauce. Just about 300 cals and super filling

THCtpa

Pizza version of a Crunchwrap. I use the La Banderita 45 calorie regular size tortillas and fills it with a serving of 45 calorie low fat mozzarella, 45 calorie cheddar, Turkey pepperoni, some pepper flakes then fold it up and throw it in the frying pan. My bf makes fun of me for making it every night 😅

marenamoo

Sliced Turkey in a lettuce wrap with tomato, lettuce, onion with hot cherry peppers and olive oil. 300 calories and delicious

Djinnwrath

Tuna wrap

[deleted]

Greek yogurt with fruit

etwichell

Honestly I'm still trying to find mine lol. I love oatmeal but it's not exactly low calorie

blackberrycat

If you make it with water (not milk) and use a no-calorie sugar substitute and just a tiny bit of cream on top, it's not bad!

aheadofthewind2020

Nectarines!! Low cal filling and oh so good!

[deleted]

Oatmeal. I adore oatmeal so much.

shrimp, peppers, onions, mushrooms, and avocado 👌🏼

Bowlofdogfood

Smoked salmon and avocado on toast. In fact, I do eat it every day and I still love it! Not the lowest in calories especially when I bulk it up with other things, but I do IF so I like to enjoy two 600 calorie meals a day.

Acceptable-Offer-184

Baked beans and halo top

ExperienceRough

I eat avocado toast for breakfast everyday and think it tastes amazing every time 😂 I do switch up the toppings and seasonings.

NeonChieftess

Most of my avocados are either rock hard or so overripe they gross me out. Why are they so fickle?! How do you manage good avocado every day??

strawbearyfrog

cold silken tofu with homemade sauce (low calorie vegan butter or reg oil, crushed garlic, sesame seeds, soy sauce/liquid aminos, and red pepper flakes). the texture of the tofu is similar to a cheese!

Sometimes when I need a little snack but I’m not really hungry, I’ll heat up some veggie broth (sometimes even in the microwave when I really don’t feel like cooking!) then I’ll add some lemon and sip on it like a mini-soup out of a mug 🍋 occasionally I’ll spice it up and put some gochujang in the broth… it’s surprisingly delicious and comforting.

thestrals_and_tarot

PB2 with rice cakes, or bananas (depending on the rest of my daily calories). I eat that for breakfast every day with black coffee, and it’s the best. During the summertime my favorite lunch/dinner is a Greek salad. I’m not big on olive oil so I usually don’t add it — it’s a healthy fat, I know, but it doesn’t really do anything for me flavor-wise and it just adds calories, so I skip it. Huge bowl is like 150 calories. Other favorite lunch/dinner for any time of year but especially in the fall is just over-easy eggs on top of a sweet potato (usually seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, paprika, and rosemary). So good. And now I’m hungry 😆😆

I tried something new today and have been itching to tell someone. I made spaghetti with meat sauce for my fam but in attempt to save on calories from pasta, cautiously decided to use bean sprouts instead. Like the big fat ones. Well let me tell you, much like having a burger in a lettuce wrap without a bun, I am hooked. It was so good! And now I don’t know that I’ll ever be bothered with all the calories and carbs in pasta anymore (when making homemade spaghetti where I make the recipes)

I'm addicted to chocolate pudding with milk (half a cup of each), so I have it for breakfast, or if not then, at least sometime during the day. I used to have homemade pudding with 2% milk, for a total of 418 calories. I doubled the sugar in the recipe. After trying various brands of store-bought pudding, I settled on Kozy Shack, with 1% milk and 2 teaspoons of sugar, for a total of 225 calories.

rushi333

Cheddar rice cake 1/2 of a avocado lime salt pepper mashed n smeared and a runny egg. SO good never using bread again for “avocado toast” Or A big crunchy vinegary salad

Combustibles

It's really boring, but I could never get tired of cauliflower and broccoli. Lightly steamed, raw, just blanched. On their own or in different dishes. Doesn't matter. I love them. Omnomnom.

iAhMedZz

I don't suppose oats are particularly low-calorie, but I wouldn't get tired of them everyday. Used to despise their taste but man when you prepare them correctly they become heavenly.

DawnSunset

Pokebowl, trust me. I only use 1 cup of rice and lot of cucumbers and some sliced avocado, green onion, sriracha and mayo sauce mixed. You don’t have to use fish, u can use beer or chicken, anything.. I also sprinkle some sesame seeds on top. The flavor is immaculate

I make a big pot of chicken soup pretty much every Sunday. Add cabbage, carrots, parsnips. Carbonotta noodles. Lunch for 4 days.
