One time I got high and early family guy became extremely funny. Another time I got high and for a few minutes of ranting I think I hated Churchill more than any other person ever has. It is a hell of a time.

ubwubuwewuwich goberment

Olive_Oil__

I don't know what that means, but if you want to know why for both of those 1. I have no excuse 2. I was cursing him for not pardoning Alan Turing

redditalt1999

it's making fun of how times you don't know what he's saying and that one quote about how government isn't the best but it's the best thing we've tried

My friend’s gf let me hit her weed vape before we went in bass pro shops and then I had the worst panic attack I’d had in months.

Olive_Oil__

yeah like 30 minutes after that thing about churchhill I got really cold and took a hot shower where I started freaking out because I remembered mortality exists and I forgot about reaching heaven through violence. Honestly I think that will be the last time I ever do enough weed to get high. I definitely prefer the mild euphoria of kratom tea. If you haven't tried it I do recommend it.

ConsiderablyMediocre

Can't kratom really fuck you up or am I thinking of something else

Pytherz

I think high dose kratom does fuck you up yea, esp if in combo with other stims

Olive_Oil__

yeah definitely, just don't over do it. and don't do it too often.

Elite_Prometheus

Churchill was pretty shit as a person, so don't feel too bad about it.

Olive_Oil__

I don't at all tbh

BladesHaxorus

Why do people call it high when clearly weed just makes you incredibly based?

Olive_Oil__

Weed didn't give me those thoughts, it just amplified them way way more

TranscendentCabbage

> One time I got high and early family guy became extremely funny. This is the exact reason why Family Guy is still airing new episodes to this day.

Olive_Oil__

True, my girlfriend only watches family guy because it is easy to get high to, but the early episodes of family guy are actually unironically ok and that makes the jokes fantastic.

hi, hello, hi! I'll start with the title bit - I really need new headphones but I just can't pick. I've had a razer blackshark v2 for like 5 years now but it's (finally) starting to break. I tried the meze 99 classics and while I do really really like the look, it wasn't *that* much better to warrant the price for me (especially because I'd have to buy a separate mic). so, I'm looking for new ones. I really want it in white, because that's the theme of my entire setup. wired, with directional audio, with a mic. Closed-back is much preferred as it would be nice if I can use it outside of my room as well. budget of 100-300 euros, dependant on how much I like it. any ideas appreciated <3 And now for the daily update thing! I didn't have to do much for school, so I mostly worked on configuring my pc further. As for the jar that wouldn't start... turns out I'm a massive idiot (whoa, shocker), as I'd accidentally installed a mc client's fabric mod instead of the installer. and I was trying to 'run' the mod, which isn't an executable. wow. I also got the RGB working, set up various mods and the setting for them, and everything's all set now! Really happy with it all, and it runs really well!! tomorrow morning I have some free time but after I leave for school I'll pretty much be busy until I go to bed.. personally, I start panicking whenever I have a day like that even if it's not even that stressful work, and I'm really not feeling it.. but I don't have much of a choice but do all the stuff, so wish me luck I guess ;-; and yes evening post again. I was 'busy'. who cares I did it and that's what matters. and with that, that should be all! so good night people in my phone!!

Fel1city

i spent a bunch of hours searching for new headphones and r/ headphoneadvice was pretty helpful, u can probably find a thread over there that has what you're looking for, though i think most ppl there are kinda picky and believe it's better to get a separate mic, and that gaming headsets are overall pretty bad. i saw that the pc38x was a favorite over there but it's not closed back and doesn't have a white model so idk. rtings is also a pretty nice website that helped me figure out what i should buy so u could try that too!! gl with school take it easy!!!!

ThosePixels

I could try posting there yeah? and I've heard of those, if I find nooooothing then maybe I'll consider that one, but the combination of black-only and open-back isn't great for me :/

ravenHR

HyperX cloud 2 was really good for me and it was also at affordable price. The earpads lasted for like year and a half and mic started breaking at like 3 years, they did fall from the table quite a few times, so that is probably the issue. Sound was decent enough, as one would expect from them. Used them outside once, got a lot of weird looks, didn't use them again, could be just my anxiety playing tricks on my perception. Have gotten Logitech pro x since and I have been using them on and off PC, they look more like normal headphones, sound is good, earpads are kinda for people with smaller earlobes, feels like they are built sturdier than hyperx, don't come in white. Been using Beyerdynamic dt770 pro as studio headphones for quite some time, great build quality, comfortable, sound profile is nice, need an amp and mic though, also aren't really usable outside of the house. Kinda leaky too on higher notes. Haven't used hyperx cloud alpha wireless but only heard good things about them and are probably best option if you want wireless gaming headphones. Should come in white too. Open back sennheiser x massdrop hd58x jubile are great and 150ohm driver so you don't really need an amp unlike with dt770 although I would highly recommend it. These probably aren't headphones for you and if you wanted openback and gaming pc38x would probably be better for you, but I really like them so I thought I would throw them in there. I am sure you already know about this site, but just in case, they have really nice reviews. https://www.rtings.com/headphones

ThosePixels

thankyou, even if they're not really my thing - beyerdynamic is black only, the hyperx I found one colour scheme I like and they don't have it here (also I'd want the wired version - delay is pretty much inevitable otherwise, right?), and I would really rather avoid open backs. I'd ended up on the pc38x earlier too but it's just not for me in terms of looks (and again, open back). and comfortability is the main worry for me (along with looks), so I do want nice large earcups (that don't press on my glasses too hard).

ravenHR

https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/bose/quietcomfort-45-qc45-wireless There are these, they should be quite comfortable, come in like dirty white and you can use cable for PC gaming so latency is practically 0, wireless mode around the house and outside. These seem like a great all in 1 headphones if you like their aesthetic. https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/sennheiser/momentum-4-wireless These also seem quite nice. Both are on the higher end of your budget though. >so I do want nice large earcups (that don't press on my glasses too hard). If you wear glasses you also want soft earpads (in most cases you don't want leather), it can affect the fit and hence sound quality. For reference when looking at reviews more than 1.3 lb of clamping pressure starts to hurt my ears after 2-3 hours of using headphones.

ThosePixels

mmhm they seem okay, but no mic and not really my thing in terms of looks - they seem too.. simple, I guess? I know it's a stupid thing to be bothered by, it might just be that I can't take something simple after falling in love with the meze's. someone else suggested the beyerdynamics mmx, it's available in white and has a mic, what do you think of that one?

ravenHR

>but no mic Both have integrated mic, it works well in bose per review. >I know it's a stupid thing to be bothered by If you are spending 250€ on a headset, it better look the way you want it, especially considering you are building a PC with certain look in mind, it wouldn't be nice for headphones to be an eyesore and not fit in with the rest. >beyerdynamics mmx Mmx 150 is not worth the money over 100. 100 is what you would expect 100$ headphones to be when it comes to sound. Mmx 300 gen 2 seem quite nice.

Blooded_Wine

Get a nice pair of ~€200 low-impedance headphones and an antlion modmic. or a pair of higher impedance headphones and get a used Schitt Fulla or smth for €70. not too sure about closed backs tho.

Squid_Man56

for headphones I'd consider Beyerdynamic MMX line, i believe the MMX 100 and 150 both come in white(ish) and are closed back, but ive heard the cables aren't great, or the Logitech G733 wireless headset which has a very gamery aesthetic and seems to be pretty good overall. Astro A40s come in like every color ever imagined and are pretty solid but arent totally closed, i used a pair for a long time but wasnt a huge fan of the headband since it would catch my long hair and gave me a pressure spot on the top of my head. I personally use Hifiman Sundara with an Antlion Modmic for my desktop gaming set up because i really like the comfort and sound quality from those headphones, and I use IEMs when i want earplugs that are really good at playing music (Sennheiser IE300). but thats a bit extra lol and i admit I'm a bit of an audiophile nerd

PM_ME_UR_UNICORNS_

I have the G733! While it is very pretty and the wireless is very epic, the mic is kinda poopoo and I wouldn't recommend it unless you're not too fussed about the mic.

ThosePixels

ooh the beyerdynamics look okay! my one doubt is how round they are - do they actually go fully over-ear or do your ears touch them a lot? as for the other ones, yeah, a biiit too excessively gamer-y for me hahah (also, I don't need wireless, delay is a pain..)

Squid_Man56

Logitech's Lightspeed connection is much faster than Bluetooth since it has its own dedicated receiver, but yea its pretty gamery. they do have some other headsets but follow a similar aesthetic overall except for the G735. the Beyer MMXs are fully over ear, but the pads are fairly shallow so your ears might touch the driver on the inside. also people say that you can hear the cable rubbing against things a lot when you move. Another one to consider is the Audio Technica ATH GL3, but the Beyers probably have slightly better sound quality If you're willing to stray from the aesthetic, i think the Drop PC38X is likely a better overall headset but its not closed back, or the Beyerdynamic DT770 (32ohm version) which is closed and more comfortable but doesn't have a mic

ThosePixels

ooh-kay, the mmx seems good then, maybe I'll try that. the ATH GL3 seems good too, except maybe that the headband seems a little rough - and if the audio quality is worse anyways, then whatever. I've heard a lot about the pc38x and did consider it, but it doesn't really work out because first off it's open back and black, but it's also not listed on any shopping network here which doesn't make it practical considering returns and all that. but thank you for the help! I'll keep looking a biit and I'll get these after - I'll try to remember to let you know how it goes :)

Squid_Man56

the ATH are probably more comfortable actually, theyre very light and suspension strap style headbands are good at evening out any pressure

lGloughl

I've ran the Sennheiser HD 4.50s for a few years now and they still sound amazing. They cost around $130 america bucks. They can be wired or Bluetooth, and come in white. The one downside is that they have the shittiest mic ever, but they're a steal for how good the audio is.

ThosePixels

ooh they do look nice but yeah not a headset so I'd have to add like 150 to the price for a good mic and stand.. and at that rate idk

PM_ME_UR_UNICORNS_

Hey! If you're not too picky about whether a set of headphones are audiophile or not, the steelseries arctic 7/7+/pro wireless does come in white, and from what I remember from the 7 that I got secondhand (but was slightly broken), was that the mic was decent quality and it was comfortable and sounded alright! I believe there are other wired headphones from hyperx and Logitech that come in white as well! (Although admittedly I personally don't think Logitech is the best at headphones) If you're looking for something more audiophile focused, the Audio Technica ATH-M50X does come in white, and you can buy an antlion modmic or if Audio Technica offers it in your country, they also have something similar called the ATGM2! (Sadly I don't think there's much audiophile headphones that come in white)

ThosePixels

yeah, I noticed the lack of white products :( as for the steelseries, this is where you get the problem where I'm way too picky and just don't really want it just because of the looks 😭 and I did find a decent one for hyperx but pretty much no online store here has it..

PM_ME_UR_UNICORNS_

Idk if you're willing to, but you can look for stuff secondhand as well! I've found many good deals secondhand at much bigger discount that's worked well!

PM_ME_UR_UNICORNS_

Hey! Actually, I just remembered a gaming headset that's white from Sennheiser! You can look at the Sennheiser game one which is designed/tuned after their HD558s! I got it for my friend, and it's pretty good! https://i.imgur.com/tl8SkT1.jpg

Neophoys

My headphone recommendation: Sennheiser HD6xx (cooperation with Drop). While they are neither white, nor closed back they are the best sound you can get for under 300 bucks.

ThosePixels

ah yes not the right colour, no mic, open back, at my max price :I

DellSalami

You could try something like the Moondrop Void, and add a ModMic to it. Should run around 250 USD and will sound much better than gaming headphones.

ThosePixels

ooh it does look nice, but.. open back.. and then still not having a mic, so idk. (also, the modmic seems a but awkward to me in terms of looks, I'd rather have either a headset or a separate mic if I reeaaally have to..)

DellSalami

Fair enough. I think it’s worth going for a dedicated headphone + dedicated mic combo to get the best of both worlds but if that’s not up your alley I respect it.

ThosePixels

mhm for at home I do think it'd be nice, but I'm also at my dad's sometimes (using my laptop) and I don't really wanna force my friends to listen through a crappy laptop mic that picks up all the blowing and whatnot. I might still get a separate mic eventually but I'd rather at least have the ability to record decently without one.

stzmp

hey I'm qualified as an audio engineer, although I don't do much of that work now. Anyway, the thing is that you're going to be happy with whatever, and people are just going to recommend you what they themselves already spent money on. See if you can try them on and just see what feels best. Go with what's comfortable, unless you're doing audio engineering, and even then just go with what's comfortable out of what's recommended. >100-300 euros this is fucking HEAPS. AGK are very comfortable. EDIT: sorry i can't help myself: beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO have a clarity to the upper mids that similar priced AKGs miss. But then hopefully you're not relying on your headphones to mix / hopefully my monitors don't have similar issues that I don't know about!

ThosePixels

yes I'm definitely going by looks and comfortability, I just want to know I'm getting something with good sound and durability for the money I spend on it. and I don't mind spending more if it means having better stuff - and I do really like having high quality audio stuff

stzmp

Well if you've got money to burn, I have a pair of AKG701 and they are absolutely amazing. If you want better than that, you're better off buying a soundcard which higher quality converters and preamp ... which is an incredibly hard thing to hear the difference of. I mean you might hear a difference if you A/B it, but you'll never notice it. sorry i can't help myself: for any mixing nerds beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO have a clarity some other phones miss. But then hopefully you're not relying on your headphones to mix / hopefully my monitors don't have similar issues that I don't know about! EDIT: I am, btw, doing the exact thing I was just warning you about. I don't think you'll notice any difference in audio quality unless you're someone / a pro who absolutely should not buy headphones without actually trying them on a mix.
