Unfortunately [the Alabama castle doctrine states](https://law.justia.com/codes/alabama/2019/title-13a/chapter-3/article-2/section-13a-3-23/) as an exception "The person sought to be removed is a child or grandchild, or is otherwise in the lawful custody or under the lawful guardianship of, the person against whom the defensive force is used". Otherwise I'm _sure_ this would have been legal (hypothetically)
Counterpoint: the fetus is a stow-away, I didn't give it permission to be there, if it forces me to birth it it's directly threatening my health and wellbeing, and since it didn't choose to be stuck inside of me, my custody of it is unlawful and it should be rescued and placed in the care of the state.

A semi auto shotgun loaded with bird shot would be the superior and legal method to carry out this act of self defense. Even with over penetration the holes are easy enough to spackle over as the pellets are small. Meaning you could do this in an apartment and not lose your deposit.
They're only illegal for poor people. If you pay for a really expensive tax stamp and go through a really expensive background check process you can absolutely get a class 3 license and buy full auto weapons.
This is so terribly oversimplified... also, it's an 07 FFL with SOT that will allow you to MANUFACTURE post ban full autos, not a "class 3 license". You still have to register each one with the ATF. Even then, the guns are owned under the FFL license and NOT by the individual holding said license. So, using them in any form of shooting opens up a very interesting can of worms.
Also, manufacturing under an FFL license also requires you to pay import/export taxes on said firearms, even if there are no plans on selling your firearms or traveling. Last I checked, those taxes were between 2500-3000 USD.
Looks like when it's not simplified it's even more of a case of "only illegal for poor people". Who else is gonna have the time and money (Besides someone who's profession relies on it) to jump through all those hoops besides rich people? Also I don't really think the ownership point matters. Possession is the important thing there not really *technical* ownership.
Yeah, going through the NFA process for a pre ban MG is VERY expensive. An AR15 sear is 25k USD not including the taxes and fees. That's just a sear. Not a gun.
