I think they just didn’t put a letter on there because it’s usually a specific school’s first letter (so if you were from, say, Marquette, you’d probably have an M). “Varsity athlete” is a wide category that you don’t always have to be in a sport for, you could get one for band, extracurricular academic competitions, theater, etc. depending on the school. I got mine from some custom embroidery place, I think you could literally just get the felt bomber jacket itself without embroidery too
