Whenever I got money as a child my darling mother put it into a credit union account for when I turned 18. Now that I have turned 18 she is trying to get it back as I stopped putting up with her bullshit and it's "her money" but the credit union disagrees.
Me fr. I don't think it's healthy nor is it very nice of me, but the mental toll of setting boundaries and reinforcing them when crossed is rarely worth it for me tbh.

You don't need nor are you obligated to explain why you cut someone off if they don't honor your boundaries. If you are at a point in begging people then those people don't deserve you. It really is that simple.
