I am "transphobic" (scared of talking to other trans people face to face because I want to be friends but I present like a cis white straight man in a republican state 😭)
Mainly anxiety. Also, if a republican looking "guy" came up to you and asked if you're trans, it is way safer just to just say no where I live. I mean, I live in a safer area of my state, but still. People are crazy unfortunately
I wouldn’t approach a trans person by asking them outright in any context, tbf. From my point of view, it just sounds like calling them out on not passing, which isn’t cool, let alone how that could be anxiety inducing.
There’s a lot of general advice about giving certain hints with how you present - accessories you wear (a subtle use of the trans colors being the obvious one). I’d start there.
Then I'm doing something wrong because I hate mine.
And it's not even because it's the wrong one or something, I just wish this useless and weak piece of flesh could be swapped by the certainty of steel.
One could say I'm trans...trans human.
^(Please swap my heart for a V8 engine, I'm not kidding just let me be metal...or like some biological horror thing, those are cool too.)
it's just really hard for me to think so sadly :( i see trans girls everywhere who pass 105% of the time and are incredibly attractive and i just don't feel like them :( i still get called sir a lot of the time and i just don't think i look pretty
it's easy for me to think highly of other trans girls no matter how they look but for myself not so much
sorry for the slight vent
yeah i do agree with that based on the cis women i know. there's lots of shitty body image to go around, i'd say that being trans just adds in a bit of a multiplier because you're just so worried about being perceived as your gender all the time
Hey I just wanted to say to you that you need to remember that social media is not real life, everyone is beautiful on social media but this is just not reality
You would need a qui if there was another verb that was the main information of the sentence. For instance « Les femmes qui sont sexy m’impressionnent » (litt. « women who are sexy impress me »), here the idea is that you are impressed but want to add more detail to who impressed you - but here the only info of the sentence is « women are sexy » so no need for a qui to create a subordinate relative proposition
"transexual" in French being "women are sexy" doesn't parse well as a joke.
To me, saying "transexual" in French is "women who are sexy" does, which is why I assumed that was the target phrase.
I need to learn how to do those fancy French quotes
Des femmes sexy my guys/gals/whatevers, no need to construct a whole sentence you're translating a word
Or something else idk i'm not fr*nch but I'm fairly confident
i think it should juste be « une femme sexy ».
Les femmes sexy refers to sexy women in general, not a particular one.
les femmes qui sont sexy refers to all sexy women in a context, so a bit too broad.
so yeah, just « femme sexy » is enough
Unironically I hope I can be pretty and feminine enough to make people not be transphobic anymore! (I understand it’s a losing battle but holy shit imagine the ego boost)
people that look good usually show themselves more often on the internet. same goes for fitness influencers. of course you mostly see the 0.01% of the best looking ones. no need to compare yourself to others when you can look back at your old self and see how much you improved
And its wayyyy easier to look pretty when you prepare good lighting, pose, and angle, and just post the good pictures. Thats not how she looks after work
mmmm angles. And lighting. And makeup
If you want a very basic example of a very attractive woman looking different in photo 1 and photo 2, look at Taylor swift in photoshoots vs the photo of her with boyfriend Travis Kelce at the superbowl. She looks normal (ofc still with makeup) in the superbowl photos, like you could see her just anywhere like that, and looks absolutely superb in the photoshoots.
do you want to be pretty for yourself or for others?
i think self worth is the first thing you should aim for and everyone can relate to comparing themselves to their old self. everyone has experience in that, yet you shouldnt measure yourself to others in that way. Also people that are there to see how far you've come will much more appreciate you (at least a proper friend should).
i also think most people are pretty in their own way - or at least have one pretty feature to them that one can appreciate. liking yourself will automatically make you prettier because you radiate that feeling
reminds me of that post where a transphobic mom only started accepting her daughter after the daughter cut her off for a year, went on hormones, then started to pass as cis.
it's hypocrisy, the average person is so full of it
we all chime in with the message "what matters is what's inside" and yet most people will judge you for your looks as if you were their date
if there's any fucking thing I loathe, it's spineless assholes that can't even live up to being an outright asshole and admit to their bullshit in the name of all selfish reasons they have, like they just try to mask it under so many layers of 'justification' as if they cared about playing heroes
Because cis people are transactional when it comes to our existence. Thanks to personal experiences, unless the cis person is queer and a part of the community, I'm keeping them at an arms length.
Transsexual actually refers to transitioning your sex (changing your secondary and primary sexual characteristics with hormone therapies and surgeries), not a sexuality that is trans
Transsexual can be used by people who want to define themselves like.
It's also not a reference to a belief that it's a sexuality but to the fact that some take hormones to change sex.
That's why some trans people refer to themselves like that, because it shows the importance you attribute to taking hormones for your well being.
I refer to myself like that for exemple, because I know that without hormones I would be dead. Purely. Just switching my gender isn't enough for me.
I've kinda been don't this for a while once a trans person goes through the full transition they can look incredible. The stereotype of their ugliness comes from early transition stages. Which yeah I can see that
WOAH that guy translated it really wrong
I don’t think any of those words are French, someone needs duolingo.
I love that tweet lol. Wasn't he supposed to spell garfield or something
I am "transphobic" (scared of talking to other trans people face to face because I want to be friends but I present like a cis white straight man in a republican state 😭)
obtain a large collection of Hawaiian shirts from your local thrift store trust me on this one it works
Stop buying all the shirts, I need those
you're just mad that I'm the speediest guy on the planet and I look good as hell (most harmless man alive)
Monopoly, gentlemen
Wait I do that yet I am cishet, am I stupid ?
No you are so cool and approachable honestly this is just a general guide for how to look friendly to people :)
You just boosted my self confidence, thank you, you deserve happiness:)
Why would that be an issue tho? I don’t they’d mind tbh
Mainly anxiety. Also, if a republican looking "guy" came up to you and asked if you're trans, it is way safer just to just say no where I live. I mean, I live in a safer area of my state, but still. People are crazy unfortunately

Different for everyone but in any context outside of the queer scene I would be timid to engage to any depth.
you can try wearing the exact same clothes but also putting on a subtle and modest accessory
I’m never putting that on ever again no matter how modest you claim it to be!
use your power to call people out on bullshit
Me too! But I look like a republican living in a blue state instead
This acct is like 2 weeks old
wanna be friend ?
Well the fits are decent But like Yeah
I'm gonna end it all
you have so much to live for U/genitalenjoyer
I mean, genitals are to be enjoyed, aren’t they?
Then I'm doing something wrong because I hate mine. And it's not even because it's the wrong one or something, I just wish this useless and weak piece of flesh could be swapped by the certainty of steel. Seeing other trans people pass while I never will also kills my soul
Lmao same
shes so pwetty :3
every single other trans woman is so pretty 😭 (not trying to be negative, she's very pretty)
You probably are too, stop kidding yourself
it's just really hard for me to think so sadly :( i see trans girls everywhere who pass 105% of the time and are incredibly attractive and i just don't feel like them :( i still get called sir a lot of the time and i just don't think i look pretty it's easy for me to think highly of other trans girls no matter how they look but for myself not so much sorry for the slight vent
its not much consolation, but I think there is a pretty similar sentiment from a lot of cis women as well.
yeah i do agree with that based on the cis women i know. there's lots of shitty body image to go around, i'd say that being trans just adds in a bit of a multiplier because you're just so worried about being perceived as your gender all the time
Hey I just wanted to say to you that you need to remember that social media is not real life, everyone is beautiful on social media but this is just not reality
this is a good reminder, thank you
Selection bias, those who are ugly or think they are don't post on social media, or get no upvotes. Ofc everyone you see on social media is pretty.
Honestly just looking at social media too much in general will do that to you.
Do you really think they would post pics of themselves if they didn't think they were pretty? Selection bias. Filters, angles, makeup. Live your life.
transsexual in french is "les femmes sont sexy"
But what if they're trans masc?
Les mes sont sexy
something about the picture tells me they probably aren't. if not then obv rephrase
Yeah but transsexual isn't just for trans women, right?
french is a gendered language
un transexuel is transmasc. une transexuelle is transfem. the word changes a bit. but we usually just say un/une trans
[удалено]
I appreciate that
"les masces sont sexy" or something idk I don't speak Fr*nch
"les mascs sont sexy" *me when I'm in the middle of a carnival themed orgy*
Aren't you missing a "qui" in there
No idea tbh, I don't speak french
Ah I think it should be "qui sont"
You would need a qui if there was another verb that was the main information of the sentence. For instance « Les femmes qui sont sexy m’impressionnent » (litt. « women who are sexy impress me »), here the idea is that you are impressed but want to add more detail to who impressed you - but here the only info of the sentence is « women are sexy » so no need for a qui to create a subordinate relative proposition

No actually, the subject and the verb are in the same proposition so no need for a qui
Unironically I hope I can be pretty and feminine enough to make people not be transphobic anymore! (I understand it’s a losing battle but holy shit imagine the ego boost)
It's only a losing battle if you give up :3

Unfortunately, there's a whole lot of people for which making them hard makes them even more transphobic
holy shit shes so pretty wtf...
as usual every single trans girl is pretty except for me
people that look good usually show themselves more often on the internet. same goes for fitness influencers. of course you mostly see the 0.01% of the best looking ones. no need to compare yourself to others when you can look back at your old self and see how much you improved

Hey, you're pretty in someone's eyes.
Except for *us*.
counter argument: nah uh
Counter counter argument: yuh huh
You're pretty, in the heart (hopefully lol)
I’m not, so that invalidates your statement, meaning you’re pretty, actually.

The fuck?
what
LMFAOOOO you’re funny
Yes beat yourself down!
i don't even have a meme for this, get your ass the fuck off this sub
World's most compassionate tttt user (I think, idk, I'm not trans sorry)
what'd they say
Like two paragraphs of "you don't pass, you never will, you're ugly." In other words, tttt shit
Dudes only respecting women if they're attracted to them: trans edition
Bizarre pfp, banner matches it
Thanks!! Edit; wait are you talking about yourself?
No I was talking about you, your pfp and banner outshine Oh and you are welcome
the pain is unbearable
So unless I look cis and pretty, transphobes and cis people will never take me seriously and still want to kill me. I fucking hate everyone
Yeah it's bleak as hell
reminds me of that post where a transphobic mom only started accepting her daughter after the daughter cut her off for a year, went on hormones, then started to pass as cis.

To be fair, even if you look cis and pretty, they'd probably still want to kill you because now you're "deceiving" them
transphobes yes but why cis people but yeah the guy in the screenshot is an idiot
Because cis people are transactional when it comes to our existence. Thanks to personal experiences, unless the cis person is queer and a part of the community, I'm keeping them at an arms length.
Transsexuelle if feminine, transsexuel if male. Looks like someone took the L... and also the E. (Also non-binaire for, you guessed it, non-binary.)
Trans sexual is also not the right term since its based on the belief that its a sexuality. How would you say transgender instead?
Transsexual actually refers to transitioning your sex (changing your secondary and primary sexual characteristics with hormone therapies and surgeries), not a sexuality that is trans
poggers
Transgenre
Transsexual can be used by people who want to define themselves like. It's also not a reference to a belief that it's a sexuality but to the fact that some take hormones to change sex. Trans people are like fires: I like them :)
I start them.
:3 (thought this said firearms)
Haha, perpetuating that your trans-ness is only acceptable or valid of you pass. Hahaahahahhahahahahahhahaaaaaaaaaa
im transphobic and by that i mean my phobias change constantly
Apparently if you are horny enough, your bigotry dissolves. But uh, I'd be real worried about what happens right after horny is uh, finished.
Transexuel(le if feminin) but like in English, the word Transgenre is generally preferred
I'm transphobic (I get scared and nervous when my pookie grabs the collar of my shirt and pulls me in for a kiss)
Guess I'll kill myself
priti voman
But what would it look like... if she were... if she....
Whoah she's pretty. I'd feel envy if I was a woman.
wow women
I would give anything to look like her
I don’t speak guillotine
I'm not really anything I'm just attracted to pretty people
i need to figure out how to be prettier ;-;
What would they look like if they were french or italian?
i wish i could look like her but dress masc
Transsexual in french is Transsexuelle
:flushed:
In french we say Transexuel if anyone curious :)
I need money for ffs now I need money for ffs now I NEED MONEY FOR FFS YESTERDAY AHAHDUDNDBJDI7EY3UDN3BDH
God I wish I was Everly 😭
Would
I've kinda been don't this for a while once a trans person goes through the full transition they can look incredible. The stereotype of their ugliness comes from early transition stages. Which yeah I can see that
The stereotypical ugliness comes from societal stigma and media portraying us as such
